This module concentrates on the integration of design process
and its documentation. Students will undertake building research
using field notes, digital photography and sketch drawings.
Students will then prepare measured drawings using the
conventions of architectural representation in an appropriate
media. The module establishes students’ fundamental knowledge
of technical drawings, the significance of services in buildings, the
regulatory frameworks and codes of practice that guide building
construction such as UBBL as well as the importance of an
integrated approach to service provision. The module covers the
processes of design approval until the production of working
drawing.
