Question 1: What are Durer’s rules for perspectival projection? (Maximum 100 words) Accoeding to Durer, there are three rules for perspectival projection. The first one is all perpendiculars meet at a central vanishing point. The vanishing point is determined as the point from the drawing of the eyes to the picture plane. The second one told all parallels have a common vanishing point, no matter what direction it is. THe fanishing point is on the horizontal line which pass through the central vanishing point. When the angle between the parallels and the plane is 45 degrees, the distance between eyes to the plane and vanishing points to the eyes is the same. And the last one is that any proportions in the picture can be calculated based on the preceding.
Question 2: Describe homogenous space? (Maximum 100 words)
Homogenous space is a mathematical space, which is unchanging and infinite. The basic assumption of this concept is that all the points and lines in homogeneous space are expressions or ideal relations. They determine the positions in reciprocal relation. It is never a given spce or real space. Besides, it is a space produced by construction and geometrical ideas of homogeneity.

QUAD PERSPECTIVE 1 + 2 Initial Rendered Perspective View 1 The reason of why I’ve chosen this view to represent my city is because of its shadow. I want to build a dark scence which looks like nightmare, the black shadow emphasize the unhappy life in Raissa. Also, the open space out of the city provides more space to add some other elements in the background.
Initial Rendered Perspective View 2 In this view, I need to include 3 pieces of story, so I made the camera a little it further away, which can include more people and scenes. This view is lighter than the view 1, which provides a light mood for my happy city. The big range of scene can dispay how they move around the city.

PERSPECTIVE SCENE 1 + 2 Perspective 1 Perspective 1 shows Marco Polo’s origin impression to Raissa when he first came into the city. People in the Raissa were cursing the children, like they are all falling into a nightmare. The air was full of the dark smoke, which emphasize the depressed atmosphere in this ruin.
Perspective 2 Perspective 2 is a happy scence which is opposite to the perspective 1. The great lady and the officer shows a love story in the race course. The woman and the man in front were celebrating the success of the man who is a umbrella-maker. The painter was focusing on his own painting and his bird. The sky on the roof provides a feeling of open space.

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:
Question 1: IWhat is the difference between autographic and allographic practice? (Maximum 100 words) According to Nelson Goodman, autographic practice creates art forms that depend upon the direct intercention of the author and exsist in many copies. However, allographic is type of art which can be produced without the needed of direct ontervention of the author. They both involved the using of annotations, in order to bring the arts in reality.
Question 2: Why do architects need new representational techniques? (Maximum 100 words) Architects need to express their ideas connect to their eorks through the presentations.IT is very abstract in the process. Even if you have perfectly done your works, if you have a poor representation, it is useless to have a perfect work. Representation techniques played a role of connection between the architects and the world. New technologies are also a necessary part in architecture’s life, they need to follow the newest version. in order to show their ideas through the high technologies.

The isometric view clearly showing the movement of Marco Polo and the position of every characters. Perspective view showing the depth, which gave my scene more levels. These 2 views emphasize 2 totally different stories, one is depressed and another one is joyful. Marco Polo said in the story: At every second the unhappy city contains a happy city unaware of its own existence. Raissa is just a city like that.
