You are well aware that he stated that he supported the need for “another stolen generation”. A comment that is offensive to all the original tribal inhabitants of the continent and surrounding islands. As the representative body for those people who have already been through the original “stolen generation” the Sovereign Yidindji Government request that you understand the seriousness of the comments made by Alan Jones and pursue him to the fullest as a sign of respect to those who have already suffered the initial “stolen generation”. The Sovereign Yidindji Government would like to remind the Commonwealth of Australia that it appears that Alan Jones is trying to publicly incite “Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.” The Commonwealth of Australia Genocide Convention Act 1949 article II (e) has defined “Genocide” as “Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.” Article III (c) states the following shall be punishable “Direct and public incitement to commit genocide.” Alan Jones may have made the comments with the intent of meaning well for certain peoples, but do remember that the past genocide events has always been defended with “we done it for their own good and protection.” Remembering this Australian citizen made this comment on air in front of a large audience; who will take responsibility should another Australian citizen perpetrate the crime of genocide by forcibly transferring a child from a tribal group to another group?
