Foreign Affairs Minister Murrumu of Walubara said “With our sovereign authority, the Yidindji nation is here to assist the government of the Commonwealth of Australia. If Scott Morrison wants to make Australia even greater, then as the Prime Minister he must not only consider the Yidindji offer of a road map to treaty, but also action this with seriousness and as a matter of urgency”. Last year, representatives of the Sovereign Yidindji Government delivered a treaty concept document for the then Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to consider. “Prime Minister Morrison has an opportunity to write a new chapter in the Commonwealth of Australia's history. He has already shown leadership by reappointing Nigel Scullion to the position of Minister of Indigenous Affairs.
