Public Notice Naming Protocol Bana Gindarja Thursday the 28th day of January 2021 The Sovereign Yidindji Government under the authority of the Yidindji Tribal Council of Elders make known to the whole world that the Sovereign Yidindji Government has designated that the official name Bana Gindarja is now adopted for the creek in the Yidindji Territory that is commonly known by Australians as Blackfellow Creek. The Sovereign Yidindji Government now make known to the world that: 1. The Sovereign Yidindji Government has the authorisation of the Yidindji Tribal Council of Elders to create and designate official place names. 2. The Australian name Blackfellow Creek is not the official name for this watercourse in the Yidindji Territory. 3. The official Yidindji name for this watercourse is Bana Gindarja.
