Public Notice Dulgu Jubuja Department of Environment Tuesday the 9th day of February 2016. The Sovereign Yidindji Government under the authority of the Yidindji Tribal Council of Elders make known to the whole world that the Sovereign Yidindji Government has reestablished the Department of Environment. The Department of Environment is the primary agency for the delivery of programs and policies to maintain and improve the environment of Yidindji Tribal Nation and the Sovereign Yidindji Government. The Sovereign Yidindji Government now make known to the world that: 1. The Sovereign Yidindji Government has the authorisation of the Yidindji Tribal Council of Elders to create the Department of Environment. 2. The Department of Environment comprises of a number of statutory bodies. 3. The Department of Environment is responsible for the following areas: a. Environment protection and conservation of biodiversity b. Air quality c. Land contamination d. Natural, built and cultural heritage e. Environmental information and research f. Co-ordination of sustainable communities policy g. Population policy h. Urban environment i. Development and co-ordination of domestic climate change policy j. Renewable energy target policy, regulation and co-ordination k. Greenhouse emissions and energy consumptions reporting l. Climate change adaptation strategy and co-ordination m.
