Phone Conversation Warren Entsch 12.20pm 13-5-2015 Phone conversation between Warren Entsch, Murrumu and Gaan-yarra was held in confidence regarding offering consent to the Commonwealth of Australia to be upon the Yidindji tribal Territory. Murrumu informed Warren that Senator Scullion requested that contact be made with Warren as the representative member for the seat that was in the area of Yidindji. Murrumu introduced the fact that the Yidindji Tribal People have created the Sovereign Yidindji Government as the entity to be able to interface with the Commonwealth of Australia. Warren was reminded of the raising of the Gimuy flag at the opening ceremony at a school, Warren was present, on Gimuy territory where Murrumu was introduced as the Foreign Affairs minister of the Sovereign Yidindji Government. That flag was still flying at full mast at the school to this day. The fact as raised by Murrumu that the then Prime Minister John Howard made the media release in May 2000 that the Commonwealth of Australia had settled this land with neither consent nor a treaty. Gaan-yarra further informed Warren that John Howard made a further statement about a nation cannot do a treaty with itself and this is where Yidindji was creating the other party to negotiations for such to take place. Warren asked about the Native Titles that were taking place and Gaan-yarra informed Warren that every “Native Title that was taking place was further reducing territorial claims that the Commonwealth of Australia may have. The reasons for judgement paragraph 30 of the Tablelands Yidindji Native Title was made knowledge to Warren “That the judge could not give anything to the Tableland Yidindji as they were already the owners of their Yidindji Land pursuant to the Yidindji laws and customs It was made knowledge that the then opposition leader Tony Abbot made a speech in February 2012 stating that the recognition of the Aboriginal people should have been done 200 or 100 years ago. It was bought to Warren attention that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Recognition Act 2013 was official confirmation that the Aboriginal peoples were not yet within the purview of the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1901. Warren made the statement that he thought that the Aboriginals were bought into the Australian Constitution in the 1967 referendum. Gaan-yarra informed Warren that the 1967 referendum gave neither the right to vote not the right to citizenship, as detailed on the AEC web site regarding the 1967 referendum. Warren made the statement that this was far too much for him as he was just a lowly MP and that it should be handed up to the most senior legal person of the Commonwealth of Australia, that being Attorney-General George Brandis. Warren stated that he would personally hand deliver correspondence from Yidindji to the Attorney-General Brandis. Yidindji just had to email this through to his email at Parliament House. Warren stated that he was following the Murrumu Yidindji story and had some idea of what Yidindji is. Murrumu stated that this correspondence would be there as a matter of urgency.
