Iddings House to be honored with an historic marker Several structures in the Jamestown area can boast 200 years of existance. One of them is celebrating its 200 years with the dedication of a special location historic marker. There will be a free event open to the public at the Mark Iddings house on the Guilford Technical Community College Jamestown campus from 1 to 2 p.m. on Oct. 24. Shelly Lutzweiler, author of “One Land: Three Landmarks,” will present a brief history of the house. Benjamin Briggs, a descendant of Mark and Elizabeth Iddings and president and CEO of Preservation North Carolina, will also comment on the house’s history. The doors to the house will be open so the public can look inside,

but no one is allowed to enter the building. The War of 1812 militia uniform of Iddings (1784-1848) from the Greensboro Historical Museum Collections will be on display at the dedication. There will be a birthday cake and refreshments. Lutzweiler’s book will be available for purchase at the dedication. At the same time, there will be a Fall Festival and activities for children on a different part of the GTCC property.

History The property was first purchased by Jonathan Howell in 1787, 35 years after Jamestown was settled. He added more acreage in 1794. Howell was the brother-in-law of another early settler, James Mendenhall, who had the honor of having the town named after him.

She has been responsible for the First Thursday events held at the library for several years and serves on the library board. She has published several adult and children’s books, many having to do with history. Her fourth great grandfather was Mark Iddings, whose house still stands after 200 years on the GTCC campus. In her acceptance, Ebel remarked, “We each have stories of those who shaped our community and you never know exactly how they will touch you some day.” The award is given to those who have worked for the preservation, research of Jamestown history and keep it alive. PRESERVATION NORTH CAROLINA CONFERENCE Preservation North Carolina will hold its 2026 annual conference this year in High Point Oct. 25-27 at Market Square, 305 W. High Ave. Attendees will include preservationists, historians, architects, planners, community members and the general public from across the state for tours and discussion of High Point’s architectural and cultural history. Nationally-recognized planner Victor Dover will be a keynote speaker. Walking tours of historic neighborhoods and buildings are included. The event opens from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 25 with tours of High Point’s First Baptist Church to look at adaptive reuse opportunities for the property when the congregation moves to a new location in 2027. Visit www.presnc.org/conference for more information and registration, which is required. Online registration ended Oct. 18. On-site registration is available in a limited capacity. Tickets for a separate event the night of Oct. 25 at Cohab Space are available at https://bit.ly/3TL3dID. PNC is a statewide nonprofit that works to protect North Carolina historic places. President and CEO Benjamin Briggs is a native of High Point.

Howell’s daughter Alice Howell married Joseph Iddings, who inherited the property, which originally sat on 158 acres, encompassing present day GTCC, Ragsdale High School, Christine Joyner Greene Education Center and Millis Road Elementary School. In 1826, their son Mark built the white wooden house that still stands on the property. Once part tavern and stagecoach stop, the home is one of 11 historic properties in Jamestown. The Board of Trustees of Guilford Technical Institute purchased the 38 acres in 1974 for only $10 with a condition: The Board would maintain and preserve the Iddings house for the “purpose of preserving said residence’s historical significance in the County.” One of the doctors at the sanitorium that was built on the property in 1924 lived in the house.

Ragsdale’s Kasey Redfern remembered for faith, determination and an NFL dream BY CHARLES WOMACK PUBLISHER publisher@yesweekly.com Before Kasey Redfern played in the NFL, he was a young man from Jamestown hoping someone would give him a chance. He had a college degree, proud parents and a dream that had taken shape on the football field at Ragsdale High School. In a 2014 interview with Jamestown News reporter Norma Dennis, he spoke about the opportunity ahead and the faith that helped him face an uncertain future. “God has a plan and has blessed me,” he said. Redfern, who went on to play for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons, died Oct. 13 after a battle with cancer. He was 35. He is survived by his wife, Lauryl,

and their two sons, Logan and Ollie. According to published reports citing his family, he had been diagnosed with central nervous system lymphoma in 2023. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at First Baptist Spartanburg, 250 E. Main St., Spartanburg, S.C. His wife requests that attendees wear Captain America colors, especially blue. There will be no formal receiving of friends. A pizza gathering in his honor will follow in the church’s hangar. For those who followed his beginnings in Jamestown, the earlier interview captures Redfern at a hopeful moment: fresh out of college, preparing for an NFL training camp and determined to keep trying until he found a place in professional football. Many older Jamestown and High Point residents have fond memories of either visiting or driving by the old ABC store on West Main Street in Jamestown. There was not a store in High Point at the time and this one was just over the city limits. However, a Jamestown store was not wanted by the community when it was proposed in the 1960s. There was even a campaign against the liquor store but the final vote was in favor of it. The Town formed an ABC Board and built the store on West Main Street. The store became so popular, a Greensboro Record headline from Sept. 25, 1973, under the heading “Town Landmark,” read ‘Say Jamestown And Think ABC Store.’ Still, “local folks don’t like to be identified by their liquor store,” the article went on. “The town makes about a $300,000

From the Front

Say thank you while you can In January of this year I wrote a Notes from Norma column titled “Influencers are nothing new.” In it I cited the three people, besides my parents, who had most influenced my life. One was a teacher, one a newspaper publisher/editor and one the subject of a story I wrote and continued to update over the years. These were not just memories from years past, but people I maintained contact with over time. Before they passed away, I was able to thank the publisher, Leonard Dudley, for giving me the opportunity to write, and the subject of several stories, Max Foust, for his lessons in perseverance and to share with the men how much I appreciated them. I thanked the teacher, Agnes Farthing, at a class reunion for allowing me to take her home economics class as a senior. The skills I learned in sewing saved me money as I made

Tyler Reddick didn’t lead a lot of laps on Sunday in Phoenix, but within a handful of laps remaining, he came very much alive during the final circuits to capture his 14th Cup Series win, sixth of the season, and have a shot at a title! The 30-year-old driver hadn’t led a lap all day until it really mattered, especially when Bubba Wallace and Chase Briscoe faded late along with Kyle Larson’s numerous troubles. The Freeway Insurance 500 started with Ryan Blaney leading the opening 46 laps before Denny Hamlin and William Byron led a few, but it was Blaney’s teammate Joey Logano leading some and winning the first stage. Hamlin and Christopher Bell capped the top three. Early wrecks such as lap 35’s incident between Michael McDowell and Riley Herbst essentially ended their days. After Bell led 30 circuits, Logano took charge out front, leading dozens of laps including winning the

second stage just in front of Toyota drivers Briscoe and Bell. Wallace stepped up to the plate after passing buddy Blaney as Ty Gibbs and Briscoe led a few laps. While Briscoe led, Reddick’s Toyota seemingly came out of nowhere to take the lead of the final 18 laps! During those final laps, Larson suffered yet another flat and hard visit to the outside wall ending his day with an exclamation point! (Laps down in 34th.) Rounding out the top five included Blaney, Chase Elliott, Bell and part-time driver Corey Heim. A look at the latest points standings shows Larson still on top by five points ahead of Bell and 24 in front of Briscoe. Love stomps O’Reilly field in Phoenix Jesse Love returned to Phoenix only to repeat last year’s winning ways in dramatic fashion. The 21-yearold California driver has been on a tear including winning on Saturday the overall O’Reilly Auto Parts event by less than a second, but led most of the laps and won both stages! The Timberland Pro 200 started auspiciously under caution for a light rain for 31 laps. Once the green light came on, Sheldon Creed led briefly before Love led laps and won the first stage just in front of Creed and Justin Allgaier. During this time, Creed had trouble restarting his Chevy with a lengthy stay on pit lane. The Ollie’s

sponsored bright yellow racer started the weekend as the points leader would fall from grace all the way down to two laps down in 32nd place. When the points were computed at race’s end, Creed had fallen from leading to 59 points down in fourth! It will be a tough road to hoe with only three races left on the schedule. Back to racing in the second stage where Allgaier and Love battled for a while until Love regained the lead to checker stage 2. Allgaier and Taylor Gray capped the top three. The final stage saw Love run away with only Parker Retzloff giving chase, but came up short as Love fought Sam Mayer in the final circuits winning by a scant .128 second margin of victory. Others in the top five category included Allgaier, Corey Day and Sammy Smith. A look at the latest points standings shows Love on top by 36 ahead of Allgaier and 39 in front of Day.

most of the field throughout the race. Ty Majeski wound up winning both stages in his strong Ford, but it was Honeycutt’s Chevy leading the most laps to record his fourth visit to the winner’s circle. The Zero Carbon Bioethanol 150 started calm enough with Riggs out front for the opening 43 laps before Majeski took one of several turns in the lead. Caruth gets credit for winning the first stage just in front of Riggs and Landen Lewis. On to the next stage where Majeski led a pile of 43 laps, yet still watched Honeycutt roar on by to lead and win the second stage. The final stage saw much of the same with Honeycutt regaining the lead on lap 98, putting his head down to edge Christian Eckes and Riggs, taking the checkers on lap 150 for win number four. Looking at the overall standings shows Honeycutt out front by 39 over Riggs and 112 ahead of Eckes. From Rumorville In an unprecedented move, NASCAR has announced allowing teams to replace brake pads and rotors after practice and qualifying this weekend in Phoenix. No other brake components are allowed to be changed under close scrutiny by series officials. No replacing parts or pieces of the brake caliper will be allowed. Teams will be allowed to inspect rear brake parts, but not change any parts without NASCAR’s permission. I would venture to say all of the teams will replace any and all parts allowed. Talk about laying out someone’s future … 16-year-old NASCAR short track ace Tristan McKee has most of his next decade all mapped out starting with a fifth place finish in the recent Bristol truck competition making him the youngest driver ever to record a top-five run. Whether it’s ARCA, truck, late model or a Trans Am title, this driver has been kept busy collecting trophies. His recent signing with JR Motorsports should take him far. That’s it for this week. Next week, look for the final few races in the Cup, O’Reilly and Craftsman Truck divisions from Talladega. In addition, we’ll cover other racing venues from around the globe such as IndyCar and/or F1 racing.

N.C. Land and Water Fund awards grant to Deep River Riverkeeper PRESS RELEASE The Deep River and its feeder streams are going to get special attention thanks to a grant awarded to the Deep River Riverkeeper by the North Carolina Land and Water Fund (NCLWF). Over the next two and half years, the Deep River Riverkeeper will regularly sample 14 sites for water quality on the river and its tributaries in order to identify high levels of E. coli and their sources, including failing infrastructure or stormwater run off. The results will provide a detailed Healthy Deep River Plan that maps targeted areas for actions and interventions in the Upper Cape Fear Basin. The Deep River Riverkeeper (DRRK), a licensed, nonprofit water-

keeper organization based in Jamestown, will lead the project. The DRRK’s Riverkeeper, Erin Sherrill, will oversee the water quality site testings, direct participating biology interns in real world applications of their science education, and lead a designated steering committee of regional environmental leaders who will help participate in development of the Healthy Deep River Plan. Ms. Sherrill says, “This project will help us create a safe, healthier river for our communities. As an important recreational water body, Deep River contamination from bacte-

ria is a concern and a growing issue for many residents, swimmers, paddlers and beachgoers. We intend to help fix that.” The $75,000 funding will result in the development of a 9-point Watershed Restoration Plan for the Deep River Headwaters. Additionally, Riverkeeper Sherrill with the steering committee members will plan to host a series of workshops to educate and inform the public, landowners, utilities and elected officials about fecal coliform data, best management practices, safer recreation and impacts of large storm events. The N.C. Land and Water Fund was established in 1996 and awards grants to protect land for natural, historical and cultural benefit, limit encroachment on military installations, restore degraded streams, and develop and improve stormwater treatment technology.

Iran exposes an intolerable U.S. vulnerability

Fall leaves hide ticks and fleas, new danger BY SAM MAZOTTA PAW'S CORNER DEAR PAW’S CORNER: I wanted to share a scary event that happened a few days ago. My chocolate Lab “Terry” was romping around in the leaf piles that my son had raked together when she suddenly yelped and limped back toward me. Her front paw was cut and bleeding. Because it looked significant, I took her to the veterinarian to get checked out, where she got stitches and an inflatable collar to prevent her from licking the injured area while it heals. We looked through the leaf pile later and found a garden tool that had been forgotten during cleanup! The vet also found three ticks on Terry, but fortunately they weren’t attached. I hope you’ll publish my story so your readers will know to put safety first before letting their dog play in the fall leaf piles! — Karen G., Lebanon, New Hampshire

DEAR KAREN: Thank you for sharing your story. Most dogs absolutely love romping in leaf piles, and if a few precautions are taken, they can play safely and have a great time. Before raking leaves into piles, walk through the area and pick up any trash or sharp debris. Keep your garden tools together, and when putting them away, check whether any are missing. Make sure your pet is adequately protected against flea and tick infestation before letting them play in the leaves. Ticks especially love to hide out under leaves in the grass, waiting to hitch a ride on the first warm-blooded creature that passes by. Use a tick repellent on yourself if you plan to hang out in the yard with your dog. And, of course, do a thorough check of your dog’s coat for ticks after playtime and before they come into the house. What has gone up is the number of veterans who will be able to participate. This year the VA has enrolled an additional 290,000 veterans in healthcare. The adaptive sports program, as well as the therapeutic arts program, is run by community, regional and national grant recipients to provide opportunities for disabled veterans to participate. If you’re interested in competing or training in these events, whether you want to aim for skiing, the wheelchair games, golf, the Golden Age games or the arts, there is a place for you.

If you want to become a Paralympic athlete, there’s even a training allowance, a monthly stipend for those who are selected to compete with the national Olympic team. For the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, the adaptive ski program, see wintersportsclinic.org. Veterans with spinal cord injuries, visual impairment, traumatic brain injury and more are eligible. The clinic runs from March 27 to April 3 next year. After Saddam Hussein’s 1990 invasion of Kuwait, that changed. Today, the question is how to reconfigure our presence again to make it more defensible and sustainable. “U.S. bases,” Alexander writes, “remain indispensable for intelligence collection, command and control, maritime security, air and missile defense, logistics and longrange power projection.” One option is to locate more facilities in Israel. Elliott Abrams of the Council on Foreign Relations points out that the Jewish state is much further away — more than 1,000 miles from Iran — and would impose fewer restrictions on our access and overflight rights. But we still require bases in the Gulf. We’re going to need to disperse them, harden them (including with more underground elements) and build in more redundancy. The air defense needs to be more robust and layered, and less dependent on expensive missiles that are in short supply. The war with Iran was supposed to represent a short, sharp defanging of the Iranian regime. Instead, it has dragged on and served as a lesson in key shortcomings of U.S. military power that must be addressed, lest they bite us again in a conflict with a much more powerful adversary.

CONTINUED FROM FRONT celebration with a dedication of the Cornwallis Encampment marker at Deep River Friends Meeting on Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. The marker will be erected on the Penny Road side of the church property near the driveway. The public is invited to attend. Dignitaries from around the state and the nation will be there for many of the events as this was a major occurence not only during the War but in the Jamestown area. Shawn Rogers, executive director of the Museum & Archives of Rockingham County, will give a short talk and members of the Historic Jamestown Society a, are expected to attend. Deep River Friends Meeting is one of the oldest religious institutions in the Piedmont. The first

meeting house was built in 1758 and stood in what is now the southern part of the cemetery. In Cecil E. Haworth’s book, “Deep River Friends, A Valiant People,” published in 1985, Haworth stated there could have been 3,000 men camping there and the headquarters could have been in the meeting house itself. Although British troops under Cornwallis scored a victory at Guilford Courthouse over American forces under Major General Nathanael Greene, the British suffered significant troop losses during the battle. Afterward, Cornwallis abandoned his campaign for the Carolinas and instead took his army into Virginia, where in October of that year he surrendered to General George Washington following the Battle of

Over years, the profit has gone to help pay off debt for water and sewer lines, paved streets and storm sewers, funding of Town Hall in 1967 and even funding of Jamestown Park and Golf Course in 1974. “It literally was built with booze and liquor money,” said

Scott Coakley, Parks and Recreation director for the Town of Jamestown in “Triad Golf Magazine” in 2025. “Revenues were pouring in, and not enough was getting spent by the town,” read the magazine. “According to what he’s been told, Coakley said state officials told Jamestown to spend some of that money. To back up the story, Coakley said he’s seen the state grant request from the town, listing ABC revenues as the source of matching funds.” And Jamestown Park was born, amid other town improvements thanks to the liquor store. But the income was not to last. High Point’s ABC board opened their first liquor store in 1976, ending Jamestown’s flow of revenue. The Main Street store closed June 2002 when ABC board operations were consolidated in High Point. These days, the store, which reopened in 2023 on Gate City Boulevard in Grandover Village

Shopping Center, is increasing Jamestown’s coffers by 13.58 percent, according to recent figures which show total sales system-wide of $30.7 million. ABC revenue is listed under unrestricted intergovernmental revenues in Jamestown’s proposed 2026-27 budget as of May of this year. The budget message reads, “Negotiations with the High Point ABC Board regarding a potential modification to the current revenue distribution structure remain ongoing and could ultimately prove beneficial to the Town. However, because those discussions have not yet been finalized, the proposed budget conservatively reflects the current estimated annual revenue amount of approximately $50,000.” Jamestown gets a share of sales from the seven High Point Alcoholic Beverage Control system stores. The Grandover store is larger than the Main Street store was, allowing for more display, storage space and sales.

“My desire is to play in the NFL,” he told Dennis. “I am hoping the Jaguars is the team.” Football had not been his first sport. “Growing up I liked just about every sport and was not happy unless I was playing something,” Redfern said. “I ended up playing year-round soccer, which led to playing soccer in high school, which led to the football field.” He began playing football as a sophomore at Ragsdale after learning he could continue playing soccer while also serving as a kicker. He played both sports for two years before making a decision about his future. “Both my coaches felt I had a chance to play either sport in college, but when it came time to decide, I dropped soccer to devote more time to football,” he said. At Ragsdale, Redfern became a three-year starting kicker and punter, earned all-state honors in 2009 and played in the Shrine Bowl. Under coach Tommy Norwood, the Tigers finished 13-1 in both 2008 and 2009, winning conference championships and advancing to the state quarterfinals. He also earned all-region recognition as a soccer goalkeeper, lettered in swimming and was a fourtime scholar-athlete. His school activities included the Beta Club, National Honor Society and Key Club. An athletic scholarship took him to Wofford College in Spartanburg, where he handled kicking and punting duties. In 2012, he kicked a 53-yard field goal against Samford, setting a school record at the time. By the time Dennis interviewed him in 2014, Redfern had graduated with a major in accounting and a minor in economics. He had not been selected in the NFL draft, but his hopes remained very much alive. His agent, Casey DiMeo, called with news of a tryout with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Redfern described competing with three other players for the

same position in front of the head coach, general manager, special teams coordinator and assistant special teams coordinator. “I definitely punted very well. It was one of my best days,” he said. “I felt in the zone — like nothing could go wrong. I also did well with the field goals and kick offs.” That performance earned him an invitation to mandatory minicamp, which he called “the second part of the interview process.” He then secured a place on Jacksonville’s 90-man roster and an opportunity to compete in training camp. He understood that another difficult cut awaited him. “After training camp, which ends right before the season starts, the team will be cut to 53,” he explained. “If I make that cut, it will be another step in the right direction.” He planned to return to Wofford to train before reporting to Jacksonville. His parents, Kevin and Kelly Redfern, were sharing in the excitement. “My parents … are very excited for me,” he told Dennis. “I am trying to soak it in a little at a time. Right now I am just going with the flow to see where it takes me.” Redfern said then that if he did not make Jacksonville’s final roster, he would keep pursuing opportunities elsewhere. He understood that finding a job could depend on timing and which team needed a kicker or punter. His pursuit eventually took him through seven NFL organizations: Jacksonville, San Diego, Carolina, Cleveland, Detroit, Dallas and Atlanta. He reached regular-season games with the Lions and Falcons, though a knee injury ended his 2017 season with Detroit in the opener. The young man who spoke to the Jamestown News in 2014 could not know where those opportunities would lead. He knew what he hoped for, and he was willing to work for it. “If I make that cut,” he said, “it will be another step in the right direction.”

 Challenging  HOO BOY! ©2026 King Features Synd., Inc.

ARIES (March 21 to April 19) Some flashes of ARIES ire might erupt as you confront an unusually bewildering situation. But you should be able to keep your temper under control as you work through it. TAURUS (April 20 to May 20) The marriage ‘twixt the arts and practicality, which Taureans excel at, once again highlights your enjoyment of much of the week. However, you need to watch any sudden urge to splurge. GEMINI (May 21 to June 20) Even with all the plusses apparently outweighing the minuses, you still might want to defer an important decision to make sure that you have all the facts you need. CANCER (June 21 to July 22) One or two problems might threaten to derail otherwise smoothly running situations at work or at home. But a few wellplaced words should help get things back on track quickly. LEO (July 23 to August 22)

This could be a good time for all you LEOs and LEOnas in the spotlight to open your generous Lion’s hearts and share the glory with those who’ve helped you accomplish so much along the way. VIRGO (August 23 to September 22) Before investing time or money (or both) into a questionable matter, you might want to get advice from someone who has been there and knows these situations better than you do. LIBRA (September 23 to October 22) Be careful with how you handle a workplace matter that seems out of place in the schedule you’ve prepared. Before you act, one way or another, find out who set it up and why. SCORPIO (October 23 to November 21) Your entertainment aspect is strong this week. Besides providing a wonderful break from everyday obligations, sharing fun times brings you closer to those you care for. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 to December 21) Having a weekend fun fest? Your friend

or relative who’s down in the emotional dumps could perk up if you find a way to include them in your plans. CAPRICORN (December 22 to January 19) If you’re stuck in one of those “the Goat knows best” moods, you might want to ease up and try listening to what others have to say. You could learn something. AQUARIUS (January 20 to February 18) A new challenge is getting closer, so you should now be out there showing facts and figures to potential allies to help persuade them to rally to your support. Good luck! PISCES (February 19 to March 20) Getting a head start on holiday plans could help free up some time later for you to spend on other projects. Meanwhile, a colleague has some ideas that you might find worth discussing. BORN THIS WEEK: You’re always there for others, but sometimes you need to be reminded that you need to be there for yourself as well. ©2026 King Features Synd., Inc.

Couch Theatre BY DEMI TAVERAS “The Death of Robin Hood” (R) — Don’t be misled by the name of this thriller film and sit the kids down to watch this one; this definitely isn’t Disney’s version of Robin Hood’s story. Based on the 17th century ballad “Robin Hood’s Death,” this film is led by none other than Hugh Jackman (“The Sheep Detectives”) with a supporting cast that includes Jodie Comer (“28 Years Later”) and horror aficionado Bill Skarsgard (“Dead Man’s Wire”). Jackman portrays the aged outlaw Robin, who is widely known as a folk hero across 1247 England but remains tormented by the crimes he’s committed. After a few more treacher-

ous duels leave him delirious, Robin finds himself on a remote island at the Priory of St. Clement, left only with the reminder of his sins as Sister Brigid (Comer) nurses him back to health. Out now. (HBO Max) “Crystal Lake” (TVMA) — Calling all slasher lovers! (Because I fear I am not one.) This new series starring Linda Cardellini (“DTF St. Louis”) serves as a prequel to the 1980 film “Friday the 13th.” Cardellini takes on the role of Pamela Voorhees (originally played by Betsy Palmer in the 1980 and 1981 films in the franchise), who has a young son with physical differences named Jason. Here's A Tip BY JOANN DERSON NOW HERE'S A TIP • You can cut the bitterness in some varieties of greens by soaking them in ice water for roughly an hour before serving. Use a salad spinner to get all of the water off. • To freshen carpets, there’s no need to purchase expensive or heavily perfumed carpet deodorizers — baking soda can do the job. Sprinkle carpets liberally. Let set for 30 minutes to an hour, then vacuum thoroughly. • “If you are serving many side dishes at your large family holiday gathering, try this trick to keep casseroles and oven-cooked meats hot while waiting for other items to finish in the oven. Use a clean ice chest to store hot sides. Simply cover the bottom with a few trivets or a couple kitchen towels, and set dishes inside. Most people use a cooler to keep things cold, but the insulation works just as well to keep hot things hot — at least a little while.” — M.E. in West Virginia • Recipe Substitution: If you need 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, use 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ginger, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves. • Blood pressure can be affected by many things: Seeing the doctor is one of them. Request that your blood pressure be taken by a nurse or physician’s assistant. Having a full bladder can also make your pressure reading higher, as can positioning your arm below heart level. • Remove the annoying sticky residue from price tags with WD-40 or baby oil. This is for use only on hard surfaces. If you are unsure, test in an inconspicuous place first to make sure the oil doesn’t leave a stain where the tag was.
