The YES Mentorship Program aims to facilitate the transfer of skills and wisdom from an experienced professional (a mentor) to a less-experienced individual (a mentee). A mentor acts as a guide, a role model and as an advisor to a mentee, who is willing to learn from their mentor’s experiences in order to develop their career or business. The development of a successful mentoring relationship requires an investment of time, the ability to be open and honest, and a commitment to personal development and learning. Our “Pay It Forward” Mentorship Program© assists the transition from school to work or self-employment through the transferring of knowledge from mentor to mentee.

The entrepreneurship mentees work with their mentors at the onset of the relationship, whereby they establish the specific goals they are going to achieve. Mentorship candidates must be pre-screened by a Business Coach. The YES Artists’ Mentorship Program offers career guidance and support to emerging artists and arts professionals by matching them with established artists, cultural administrators and/or business professionals so that they may benefit from their expertise, knowledge and networks.
