autobiography

One child in every family is different, and my family is no exception. My family is in business, but I am only interested in art. Fortunately, when I was seven years old, I met the enlightenment teacher in my life. He taught me to pay tribute to art in different ways. His unique teaching method not only indirectly stimulated my passion for art design but also developed my creative thinking. During my college years, I gained experience by participating in various competitions and government cases. After graduating from university, I traveled to multiple countries and learned the local culture, history, and design style. I think those trips are necessary because all experiences and memories might be part of my design element. After I finished my adventure, I decided to continue my studies in the United States. I believe that American cultural differences can make my design more meaningful. Thus, I am more confident that I should continue my design journey.

esign a small cafe for a luxury retail store in downtown San Francisco is an exciting and fun project, and it is inspired by Coco Chanel. An expensive, luxurious, and practical no 5 Cafe will be designed with a combination of minimalist and steampunk design. Also, to create a small space that looks like an ample space, no 5 Cafe will use the advantages and characteristics of various materials to achieve, such as the reflection of a mirror. In addition to uniquely customized lighting fixtures and classic furniture, huge propellers hanging on the wall and a cafe logo with gear design are also one of the characteristics of the cafe. Steampunk is a combination of the technical and aesthetic design of the 19th century, while Coco Chanel is a successful French fashion designer. Indeed, steampunk is rooted in the fashion, culture, architectural style, and art of the times, while Coco Chanel’s interlocking CC monogram just like two rotating gears. As we know, she liberated women from the shackles of “ corseted silhouette” after World War I. Her adventurous personality was extraordinarily presenting the combination of mechanics and elegance. Therefore, when Coco Chanel and steampunk collided beautifully, just like a waltz, the bright sparks lit up instantly all around.

enovating and designing an office located in San Francisco is an exciting and challenging project. The project was inspired by the most beautiful nature of Lake Tahoe. In that beautiful nature, people can feel relaxed, stress-free, and endless energy. At the same time, people can get more inspiration and ideas, and they can think better without any pressure. Therefore, a cozy, unique, and practical common area will be created for workers to gather, take a nap, and rest. The common area will fill with pillows and birds nest chairs to show the most comfortable space in the office. It is placed between the CEO office and open office, so there is less stress between the CEO and the employee, and the relationship will be better. The open office is clean, simple, and highly functional, and it also gives a refreshing atmosphere. Bringing those good feelings and atmosphere into the project will be the best thing ever for anyone.

the mad hostel

T

he unique interior space of The Mad Hostel will bring unprecedented excitement to the beautiful San Francisco, just like preparing for a crazy adventure with Alice in Wonderland. The exaggerated and exaggerated design makes the whole mediocre building lively and exciting. The particular window opening method can brighten and refresh the formerly dim interior. The hostel offers six incredible room designs for guests to choose from and experience. Exaggerated public spaces contrast with simple yet functional guest rooms. Thus, there is no correct answer for the interior in The Mad Hostel. It only has LIFE. Therefore, treat yourself as “Alice for enjoying the adventure in The Mad, and let your sensory and imagination soar!

concept I

n order to create a strong sense of fairy tales, I decided to look for design elements from the characters in the story. Those elements will undergo decomposition and evolution, and then be combined and used variably in each space. I extracted features from the clothing accessories and behaviors of white rabbit, playing cards, queen of hearts, and the caterpillar. The white rabbit running in the grass was holding a pocket watch in his hands, wearing glasses, and wearing a red and white outfit that impressed me. The playing cards tried to paint the white rose into red before the queen of hearts arrived. The queen of hearts sitting on the throne held a scepter of love. Among the flowers was a blue caterpillar sitting on a beautiful mushroom, smoking a hookah. These fragments and clothing elements will be combined without any sense of inconsistency.

space planning T

he most crucial link in this building is the circulation of space. The project will retain two original entrances and exits, and an additional employee entrance will be available. Restaurants and hostels will have separate entrances. The entries for the hostel and staff are on Kearny Street, and the access for the restaurant is on Chestnut street. The restaurant not only serves guests, but it is also open to the public. The restaurant includes a reception area, takeaway area, waiting area, mini bar, dining area, men’s and women’s toilets, and kitchen. The hostel lobby was waiting for the guests at one time, so I set it up at the front part of the hostel. The rooms will be distributed on the first and second floors. The laundry area and shared bathroom on the first floor are located at the end of the first floor. In addition to washing machines and dryers in the laundry area, there are also water dispensers and lockers. In addition to shared bathrooms separated by men and women, the hostel also offers gender-free bathrooms on the first and second floors. The reading area, community area, and community kitchen located in the same space, so I set them at the end of the second floor without natural light. Tenants can reach the restaurant directly through the stairs at the end of the second floor, but for the safety of the tenants, the door of this staircase is set to be restricted from going out. The cafe and bar location must have natural lighting and beautiful plants to attract customers, so I place it in an easily exposed place, the top floor. Planting evergreen plants with plenty of California sunshine is not only easy to take care of, but also creates unique shadow effects.
