The Ginger Room was inspired by the holidays. Dr. Karl and Angela would host their closest friends and family for Holiday High Tea each Christmas at their home. "It was an opportunity to show love and appreciation for those who made their year special. After all, life is about the people we share our lives with daily that make us smile, laugh, cry and cheer " - Angela wrote Here is their story

"Karl would make his traditional finger sandwiches with Smoked Salmon and Dill, Egg & Watercress salad, and our famous Coronation Chicken. He would bake each fresh scone from scratch, and Angela would craft sweet treats to fill the top tier of each tea time tower."

They would pay attention to the small details of decorating the dining room with holiday cheer, Christmas trees galore, garlands, and nutcrackers Angela loves nutcrackers! They use their finest china and personalize each sitting

Today, in their second year of hosting Holiday High Tea at The Ginger Room, they continue the same traditions that started in their home The Ginger Room (Alpharetta's oldest home) is filled with the same unique spirit of the holidays They host Afternoon and High Tea six days a week (TuesdaySunday), and we are now accepting reservations for Holiday High Tea from Dec.1 -23.

This year The Ginger Room is thrilled to serve their first-ever Christmas Eve Brunch on Dec. 24th from 10 am-3 pm with Complimentary Yum'mosas. Dr. Karl, Angela, and staff will fill the Ginger Room with holiday classics from across the pond and creative concepts such as GingerYums Pancakes, Cranberry Scones, and mini Walbrook Wellingtons!

2 cups cooked rice

2 tbsp oil

1/2 tsp powdered garlic

1/2 tsp powdered ginger

2 tbsp Bachan's Gluten-Free Japanese Barbecue Sauce

1 cup ham cubes

1/4 medium red onion, diced

1.5 cups shredded Brussels sprouts

2 tbsp pomegranate seeds

I Fluff the rice and gently mix in 1-2 tablespoons of water, two teaspoons of oil, and the garlic and ginger powder Coat the grains of rice evenly and set aside

2 Add 1 tbsp oil to a large frying pan or wok and sauté the ham over medium heat, occasionally stirring, for 1 minute

3 Add the onions and shredded brussels sprouts Cook, tossing, for about 1-2 minutes

4 Turn the heat down to low and add the rice Use a wooden spoon or spatula to break it up Crisp the rice for about 5 minutes

5 Turn the heat up to high, stir in Bachan's Gluten Free Barbeque Sauce, and fry, ensuring everything is smoky and crisp. Finish with the pomegranate seeds and enjoy immediately.
