SITE ANALYSIS

Parramatta park is well known historical area, going to the park you can realise that heritages destinations are filling the park and around it, so that we have to find a way to guid people to those heritage buildings, feel, and experience the historical movement throughout the years.

After interviewing people, one of the most interesting ways that grabbed their attention was sounds from the flying fox colony screech to the bird sound, wind and kids playing. C

Female Factory

CONCEPT

“Sound is guidance” from the site analysis we realised that on the way to the heritage building from the (x) point there are different sound that is surrounding each Sodestination.thatithelped us to use it as guidance and also, it helped with empowering the experience to show the story of the destinations on the way.

DESTINATIONS

THE FEMALE FACTORY

Female factory is the earliest female convict site in Australia and still in existence, it is not part of the recent world heritage listing, Parramatta community wants the female factory to be able to walk through where the woman walk through

By designing a tunnel and by using the “Flying Fox Colony” and a transaction to the Female Factory people inside will feel terror, scared, cold and unsafe and that’s what women used to feel back in the dark days

THE DAIRY AND THE RANGERS COTTAGES

Unlike the Female Factory the Dairy and the Rangers Cottages has a bright background, they the are used to plant because it has a Really good soil.

By designing the bridge to go through the “old orchard” the birds and people singing are the transaction to the dairy and the cottages people on the way will feel joy, free and happy.

RIVER ANALYSIS

Parramatta river is a still river on dry days. when it rains the collected rain water from the north and north-west suburbs collected and runs to the harbour through parramatta river. The rain water runs over the existing dam. by raising the dam we can collect water on the north side of the river to control the water to generate waves
