The Eagle
March 2018 Volume 35
Yarnscombe Newsletter by the Community for the Community Note from the Editors A big THANK YOU to those of you who have passed on their âlittle brown envelopesâ with your donations for a years worth of The Eagle. Weâll keep your issue âopenâ for another month and at that time we will need to remove your address from the list. Unfortunately, the cost of producing The Eagle isnât free and all costs need to be covered. Some parishoners have been very generous as usual with their donations, for which we thank you. We are very grateful to those of you who have given us very positive feedback â âThe Eagle is a wonderful community read. We are so lucky to have such dedicated editorsâ is one lovely comment received on the back of the envelope. Can we take this opportunity to say a big âHelloâ to our new residents to the village who have moved into Symondsdean and Northchurch Cottage. We hope youâll be very happy here in Yarnscombe.
Just as we go to print, the âBeast from the Eastâ is about to hit the UK. Extreme cold winds and weather will be arriving from Russia, bringing daytime temperatures of 0°C but with the wind chill it could feel like -11°C. Take care while youâre out and about and keep an eye on friends and neighbours. Itâs gonna be COLD!
