Volume 34

Issue 11

December 2017/ January 2018

The Eagle Note from the Editors This is the last issue of the year. Wow, where did 2017 go?! It has to be one of the fastest years ever!! This issue of The Eagle is a Bumper Double Issue in the true definition of the phrase. It is purely down to the continued support and enthusiasm of all subscribers and organisations of the parish – so thank you. 2017 has definitely been full of accomplishments and successes around the parish. • • • • •

During July and August we had the two Village weekends – both of which were hugely popular. The Village Hall has benefitted from more refurbishment and improvements for the whole parish to utilise. We’ve seen positive work with St Andrew’s Church with the formation of the Rescue Group and the introduction of Paul Bysouth, the new vicar. Recently the quiz league has made a popular return (big thanks to Stephen and Geraldine for hosting these evenings) Even The Eagle had a new look!!

What will 2018 have in store for us all? For starters, the Panto in January will be a treat for everyone – and there are a few of us who are already Panto Widow/ers đ&#x;˜Š. Tickets will be on sale from 2nd December at the Christmas Fayre. May we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year – see you in January!

Pat, Sharron & Stephen Deadline for articles To avoid disappointment, please don’t forget the deadline for submission of any articles for The Eagle is the 20th of each month. Any articles submitted after this date can’t be included as The Eagle is now sent to printers.
