NOTE FROM THE EDITORS Could someone please remind the weather that August is meant to be the Summer! Torrential rain, gale force winds, flooding and loads of debris – exactly the same as last year. Apparently, 7 out of the last 10 Augusts have been extremely wet, so maybe we should be used to a drop of rain!!

Apologies – if you’re interested in entering a photograph for the village calendar, you’ll have noticed that the entry details were missed from last month’s issue ☹. You have a couple of weeks to send your photos to Jackie @ Lyndale. The details are (definitely) included on page 7. Keep your eyes open throughout this issue of The

The parish of Yarnscombe appeared in the local media during August.

Congratulations to Margaret & Sam Jewell who celebrated 30 years of opening The Croft as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
