NOTE FROM THE EDITORS It seems that each issue of The Eagle starts off in true British fashion by discussing the weather. From the “flurry of February” to the “howling winds of March” with the storms Freya, Gareth and more recently Hannah. It has been relentless. With these winds came the torrential rain and confusing temperatures.

To top it all, our farmers are incredibly busy with lambing and calving together with preparing the fields for crops. With the rain it has meant the mud from the fields is being brought out onto the roads making them, at times, treacherous. We would urge all residents and their visitors to remember this when driving in and around the village and be aware of the ever changing road conditions.
