10.01.2001 Hi my name is Yan and i was born in the year 2001. I was both born and raise in Selangor.

After finishing my SPM I decided to join Foundation in Natural and Built Environment in Taylor's College for the March intake.

I never knew what I wanted to do until I reach the age of 17. I knew I wanted to pursue Architecture because I love to look at different building designs and I always imagine what can I do to make a space better for people and to help them solve problems.

Design is something that was created through a series of thoughts and exploration. The combination of principles and elements that creates a design that holds meaning.

I have learn a lot through design. The process of creating a design is not easy. I always thought that design is whatever idea that comes into the mind but now I know , how every design has incorporate different principles and elements to create the most suitable design and how every design has it's own identity.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This projects's objective is to form a comprehensive understanding of the basic elements when we explore design elements, principles and composition. Using what we have research we were to design a logo.

LOGO DESIGN We were required to design a logo to represent our imaginary design company based on our personality or character. We must use suitable principles and color theory for our logo.We must choose one type of regular geometry to create our logo.

I wanted my logo to be represented as adventurous as I do think that I am an adventurous person.I decided to use circle as I find it to be most suitable for my design. My inspiration for this logo design is "maze".Like a maze you go through twist and turn to solve your problems and you have to go through a journey before you reach the end.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As a group of 3-4 people, we were required to create two different abstract artwork with the same "theme" that reflects our Jewelry brand.One art work must be orderly while the other is non-orderly.

An artwork that shows the vibrant colors of Bvlgari and tells a story; the journey to how Bvlgari creates it's jewelry

The brand given to us was BVLGARI. We were task to make mood board for our first tutorial session working on this assignment.

To figure out different ideas and concepts to approach the artwork and to test out different materials we plan on using.

CONCEPT The design concept was based on Bvlgari's technique of making jewelry where gemstones comes first.They first collect different gemstones and based on the gemstones collected they create a design

DETAILS & HIGHLIGHTS REPETITION

Bvlgari's jewelry tend to be very orderly and to do that they use repetition of pattern; at the same time it provides a sense of harmony.

PHILOSOPHY

To have balance volume.This is why the artworks are both symmetrical.It is also due to the fact that all the jewelry are symmetrical.

LAYERING

The layers give it depth to shows how deep and vibrant the colors is and it also tells the history of the brand (silver-gold-color)

COLORS

Silver-The brand started from silver Gold- Then they move to gold Colors - Lastly colored gems -sapphire -amethyst - ruby

SHAPE

Elegant, Bold, Dynamic These are the common Bvlagri's jewelry look.

MEANING

It starts of the gemstones and forms a skeleton of a design to connect all the gems to form a design

JEWELRY DISPLAY SET

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We were required to create a counter top jewelry display set for our jewelry brand based on our chosen jewelry collection.We are to apply regular and irregular geometric shape that best represents the collection to create our display set.

JEWELRY COLLECTION FESTA COLLECTION

DESIGN INTENTION The concept of the design of the display set is "merging".Like how the different shape of the jewelry and the gemstones are merging together to form a design.

TECHNIQUE

Through interlocking I will be able to create the feel of merging .

For our design process journal 1 we were required to do research on our brand and understand the brand.

My given bran was BVLGARI. We were to analyze the brand and based on the summery design a promotional t-shirt for the brand. The design should focus on the distinctive characteristic of the brand and style of the jewelry.

For our design process journal 2 we were to research about what it's like to have a good counter top display set and to research about our chosen jewelry collection.

I explore and documented the distinct characteristic of the collection that I might want to based it on for my final jewelry display set.

I developed different ideas and intention for my final display set.

Through these ideas i sketch out a few design to compare which is more suitable .

MINI CHALET

INTRO TO DRAWING

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Our final assignment, we were tasked to design our own chalet based on the given site that each group receive in Janda Baik. For this assignment we were to form a group of 12 to work together to measure the given site.

Our designed chalet are meant to accommodate 2 people. The criteria is to have a bedroom, a bathroom, living room, dining room and a kitchen.We were given 4 different layouts to chooses from to create our mini chalet.

We were required to hand up 7 drawings which includes: old&new site plan, floor plan, front elevation, side elevation,front section and side section.

PROJECT DISCRIPTION

ADVENTRE PARK

The final project for constructed landscape is to form a group of 12 and design a park. Our group got adventure park .We were required to construct an adventure park and produce two A2 size presentation board containing master plan, key plan, location plan, bubble diagram, conceptual plan , softscape and hardscape. Not only that we were also required to make a 2-D pop up model of the park.

CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPE

ABOUT THE PARK The park was inspired by Adirondack Extreme Advanture Park in New York. This park is based on a tropical design concept to provide a sense of nature. Inside the park there contains a rope course. The rope course includes:zipline, balance beam, chop stix and spide net..

DESA PARK CITY 2.0

ENBE

PROJECT DISCRIPTION The final project for ENBE was a group project that require us to create an improved new city based on a chosen area. We must present six A2 size boards which includes a poster for the new and improved city.

ABOUT DESA PARK CITY 2.0 My group choose Desa Park as our area to improve on.We decided on this area due to the fact that they are lacking in public transportation.We also had in mind to create a self sustainable city. The way we improve the city is to build a solar powered walkalator in the city.This will act as a public transport in the city and it also allows old people to travel around freely.
