RNLI History Project Brief
The project is to build a lifeboat station for Ainsdale beach, “one of the premier beaches in the UK for extreme kite activities, with zones set aside for kite buggy & land board". The chosen site for the RNLI station sits in the sand dunes above the beach, in an area of approx. 9000 sqm.
There are lots of people who are always ready to serve the public in obscure ways, police officers, street cleaners, firefighters… These are characters who are easily ignored by the enormous while they do lots of contributions to society. For the aspect of beach safeguards, people will not notice them even when they are in trouble until they are saved by the brave safeguards. In the lifeboat station design, I want to stress how the Ainsdale beach is protected by the RNLI. This idea will not only improve the social esteem of the RNLI volunteers but also make the tourists feel safer.

Since it is a lifeboat station, working efficiently should be one of its basic requirements
