This project takes design ideas from the phenomenon of consumerism in life, centering on minimalism in anti-consumerism, and proposes the concept of minimalist community. Taking the old factory of Hefei Maanshan Iron and Steel as the design site, it integrates recycling factory, vertical agriculture and other buildings to build a recycling community that can be self-sufficient in food, energy and waste treatment and recycling. As a new community model, the minimalist community can be promoted in this area. Meanwhile, the old steelmaking equipment retained can also be used as a tourist destination, attracting more young people to work and live here, adding new vitality to the area and driving the new development of the area.
