Join Us in Making a Difference: Community Volunteers Needed! Don’t Just Talk About Change. Help Shape It. Join YCCO’s Community Advisory Council (CAC)
You don’t need to be an expert or have a background in health care. You just need to care about your community and be willing to speak up.
Do you see things in your community that could work better? Do you have ideas about how health care could better serve the people who rely on it?
Ready to make your voice count?
The YCCO Community Advisory Council (CAC) is looking for community members and OHP members who are ready to speak up, ask questions, and help create change.
Apply to join the CAC. Attend a meeting. Bring a neighbor. Share your experience. Ask the hard questions. Help shape what happens next.
Turn Your Voice Into Action
We offer stipends, dinner, childcare, interpreters, virtual meetings, and accommodations to help make participation possible.
CAC members meet monthly to discuss issues affecting OHP members and directly influence YCCO policies, outreach, programs, and health plan operations. As a CAC member, you can: • Speak up about what needs to change. • Bring real community experiences to YCCO decision-makers. • Help shape policies, programs, and outreach. • Review community funding requests and help direct resources. • Help develop the Community Health Improvement Plan. • Connect community voices directly with the YCCO Board of Directors.

These plans work together with other plans in our community and follow the rules from the Oregon Health Authority. They help us see how well YCCO is doing in many areas, both in health care and in the community. This helps us keep improving! You can learn more about our plans by visiting yamhillcco.org/about/strategic-goals
Billing Expectations for YCCO Members
Members meet once per month, virtually for 90 minutes ◦
Every meeting where participation is had, members receive a $40 stipend
Community building and professional development opportunities available ◦
◦
Meeting virtually can feel disconnected. The PLC is all about building connections and shaping the environment we want to see for our children. Every other quarter, the PLC is invited to a community building event, just for them. It's an evening of fun, food, and connection for the whole family. PLC members are selected because of their expert and lived experience as a parent in Yamhill County. We know you have what it takes to be the voice for many parents who may not have a seat at the table, but we don't expect you to know how to use it right off the bat. The PLC is granted 2 professional development opportunities per year, covering leadership skills, advocacy at a local and state level, and so much more.
The PLC is a small but mighty group of 9-12 members, and we know you have what it takes to make a real difference in your community. Page 7
YCCO members are generally not expected to pay a bill for covered health services, including medical, behavioral health, or dental care. The only exception is when a member signs an Oregon state-approved waiver at the time the service is provided. If you receive a bill from a provider, please contact YCCO Customer Service for assistance
