For lightweight manoeuvrability and easy agility the XSR700 Legacy runs with a slim steel backbone frame with a two piece subframe that makes the bike easy to customise. Classic scrambler design

Inspired by some of Yamaha’s most iconic bikes from the past, the XSR700 Legacy’s classic scrambler design looks just as good today as it did all those years ago. Key features such as the flat profile seat, black rubber fork gaiters and the compact round headlight and taillight – as well as the wide braced handlebars and 2-into-1 exhaust pipe with upswept muffler – combine authentic scrambler looks with the very latest lightweight materials and reliable Yamaha technology.

Braced scrambler handlebars, grips and chunky footrests

The black braced handlebars give an upright riding position and are wider than standard so that you can benefit from increased turning power in congested traffic and when you’re negotiating gravel tracks in the countryside. And to complement the timeless scrambler style the XSR700 Legacy features chunky footrests and handlebar grips that look great and deliver a comfortable ride.

High-tech XSR family lighting

Yamaha’s XSR family of Sport Heritage bikes runs from 125cc through to 890cc, and each model shares the same pure DNA that makes them stand out. One of the shared family characteristics is the compact round LED headlight and circular LED taillight that provide high levels of visibility while also forming an integral part of the bike’s timeless character.

New XSR Family LED lighting

The XSR700 is fitted with a heritage inspired round LED headlight with a split projector and a semi-circular position lamp. The LED tail light features a classically shaped round form, and the compact LED indicators are more subtly shaped, whilst providing outstanding visibility.

Revised Cockpit layout with integrated headlight stays

Also classically shaped with modern features, the Inverted LCD meter has been placed in a forward position for improved clarity and visibility. The lines and position are designed to match the all new head light, giving the bike a sleeker “snub nose” look on the front end.

Evolved design details

To accompany the all-black handlebar and levers, the switches have received a technical upgrade, making them more user-friendly. Allowing the rider to access the inverted LCD display remotely. The radiator has also received new side cover and the repositioned headlight has new integrated stays to provide a cleaner appearance.

690cc CP2 high-torque EU5 engine

With the increasing maturity of the XSR700 there are several improvements made both in performance and in safety. As with its CP2 brothers the XSR700 is fitted with the EU5 compliant characterful 690cc engine. Refining the rideability of the XSR700 even more – but keeping every bit of fun with the multi-talented engine performance.
