MAELI Welcome to our virtual basement. We want to take a moment to honor the traditional protectors of the lands where we are virtually based. The state of Connecticut and Yale University occupy the ancestral lands of the Mohegan, Mashantucket Pequot, Eastern Pequot, Schaghticoke, Golden Hill Paugussett, Niantic, and Quinnipiac and other Algonquian speaking peoples. As we honor their stewardship and offer our gratitude, we acknowledge that Yale University, the Yale Cabaret, and those affiliated have benefited from the oppression of these Nations.
