The Principles of Community-Engaged Research (CEnR) course is a half-year course (early July-December) that familiarizes scholars with community-based participatory research (CBPR) and other forms of engaged research. Auditors are expected to attend all classes and fully participate, communicating any date conflicts with faculty at the start of each semester. By submitting this application, you are agreeing to routine class participation and attendance. This commitment should be approved by your faculty mentor and/or supervisor.

Please write a short paragraph explaining why you would like to participate in the CEnR course and its relevance to your research.

Please return your paragraph on this completed application and a copy of your CV to ycc.coe@yale.edu by April 15, 2026 (with Subject: Application to Audit NCSP course).

Auditors may be asked to help evaluate the course. After participation, they may also be called upon by the cancer center to share experiences or research techniques learned in the course. Some auditors may also be expected to present for their sponsoring centers/programs and/or to share notice of projects developed relevant to course participation.
