CONTENT OVERVIEW: AACC By the Numbers AACC Staff consists of 2 Full-time Professional Staff, 3 Graduate Assistants, 19 Undergraduate Student Coordinators, and 14 Peer Liaisons 200+ events successfully planned and executed by AACC Staff in collaboration with over 20 campus partners, engaging over 8,000 Asian and Asian American students (undergraduate, graduate and professional) as well as the broader Yale community 1000+ Yalies came through the AACC doors each month during the academic year, approximately 70% are Yale College students $29,388.55 in AACC funding was disbursed in support of over 50 AACC affiliated student organizations and their community building and educational efforts

A Year of Many Firsts A hundred Class of 2019 graduates participated in Yale's 1st Annual Asian Graduation Ceremony where they were presented with customized AACC stoles and alumni pins by a chosen loved one or mentor
AACC's Emotional Wellness Support program launched Fall 2018 in collaboration with Dr. Eunice Yuen, a psychiatry fellow at the Yale Child Study Center AACC Career Closet, new and gently used professional clothing for shortterm loan, was piloted in support of first-generation low-income students Arts & Media Innovation Fund newly established in partnership with Tsai CITY provided five $500 awards to student art and multi-media projects that provide more nuanced representation of Asian Americans Nine newly created awards were given at AACC's Annual End of Year Celebration to recognize student leaders and organizations who positively impacted Yale and the broader New Haven community 1st Intercultural Center Fall and Spring training brought student staff from across all four cultural centers...
...together to develop knowledge of and approach to culture shifting work 1st Annual Asian Retreat during Fall Recess provided Asian and Asian American students an opportunity to explore and make meaning of their racial identity in community within the broader context of Asian American history
Asian American Student Alliance 50th Anniversary Close to a hundred alumni from all across the country and world gathered in New Haven, CT on April 5th-7th, 2019 to participate in a weekend-long conference and celebration. The theme Passing on the Spirit was inspired by Yuri Kochiyama saying, “The movement is contagious, and the people in it are the ones who pass on the spirit.” AASA's 50th aimed to unite generations of AASA student leadership to reflect on our history of campus organizing, celebrate the achievements fought for by past AASA members, and build a toolbox for further Asian American activism. 2nd Yale Asian Alumni Reunion in 2021! By Dean Joliana Yee As I approach the end of my second year as Director of the Asian American Cultural Center, I look forward to continue being part of many firsts for the Yale Asian and Asian American community as well as building off of the legacy of those who have gone before me. With that said, I am excited to work alongside
AAAYA President, Kaozouapa Elizabeth (Liz) Lee '11 and Reunion Committee Co-Chairs, Eliot Kim '12 and Christopher Lapinig '07, to plan the 2nd Yale Asian Alumni Reunion for April 2021! This will coincide with the AACC's 40th Anniversary and we look forward to seeing many of you return to campus for this milestone. More details to come on that in the new year.
