Argument For
Children are our biggest investment. Hoover Elementary was built in 1947. Garfield Elementary was built in 1966. Voters rejected replacement bonds in 2006 and 2007. Two decades later, the need remains. This bond finally delivers on the hope those communities carried — with simple, functional buildings designed to meet student needs without excess. All 13 elementary school playgrounds will be brought to code and ADA compliance. This bond maintains Zaepfel Stadium’s track, turf, and adds a practice field for Davis softball. At $20.50 per month for the average homeowner, it is a responsible, steady investment in Yakima’s future. Vote yes April 28.

The signature on your ballot return envelope must match a signature in your voter registration record for your ballot to count.
• If you registered online, check the signature on your driver’s license or ID. That’s the signature we’re using to compare to your ballot signature.
• Your signature doesn’t need to be written in cursive or even be legible. It just needs to match what we already have on file for you.
