Students will spend their first 2 years of the MD program completing Basic Science in Aruba.
A major benefit of studying medicine at Xavier is the small student-teacher ratio (6:1). More intimate classes keep students from feeling lost and invisible in massive lecture halls.

Farhan Ahmed Toronto, Canada
“One of my primary reasons for choosing Xavier over other Caribbean medical schools was the small and integrated classroom sizes that allow students to engage with each other and get any additional help on lecture content or preparation for examinations. The curriculum is well-designed to cater to learning content in a systems-based method that helps students integrate all aspects and subjects. In addition, the library on campus has access to a wide range of resources that aid the understanding of concepts for medical students.”

“I chose Xavier for many reasons, but one of the main reasons was because of the system-based curriculum. Students are able to learn in a much better way and it prepares students for a successful future as a doctor.”

Vuyas Toronto, Canada
“I chose Xavier because of all of the accreditations the school has, how affordable Xavier is, and the amazing support I received throughout the entire admissions process. The school is there for you every step of the way.”

One of the biggest deterrents to attending medical school is the high cost of tuition. At Xavier, you’ll find that we are the exception — the ideal combination of financial affordability and accredited world-class medical training. Moreover, a variety of flexible scholarship and financial aid programs puts a quality medical education well within reach of every student.
For students from the US, you will have access to the MedInvest Private Student Loan Program. In addition, Xavier is approved for students to use the GI Bill.
For students from Canada, you will be able to use federal provincial loans through the Canadian government.

I know Xavier prepared me well and I was able to obtain a great residency placement in my chosen field because of the preparation that I received at Xavier.”

“The sense of community on campus is very strong, which is something I love. Everyone has gotten to know each other very quickly, and everyone looks out for each other. There are so many extracurricular groups and activities, and ways to get involved, so students can find a great group of like-minded individuals. It’s nice to always have people being so nice to you and being able to know everyone!.”
Xavier’s new residential campus was opened in September 2021. The allinclusive campus provides students with a safe and supportive environment to support them as they transition to a new island and medical school.
Students are guaranteed on-campus housing for their entire time in Aruba.

“Living on campus makes balancing the academic rigors of medical school easier. You’re able to take some breaks and escape from studying with all of the recreation. The facilities are great.”

There are so many options for relaxation and recreation on campus, including a resort-style pool, hot tubs, an outdoor patio, two basketball courts, a soccer field, a beach volleyball court, and a golf chipping/putting range.
Newly renovated in 2021, students have their own fully furnished bedroom in a twobedroom suite with a bathroom, shower, kitchenette and balcony. The bedroom has a desk, chair, flat screen TV, large closet and twin bed. The kitchenette has a small fridge/freezer, microwave, cabinets and table with seating. Each suite is fully equipped with air conditioning, cable TV, high-speed internet and 24/7 security.

Our cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week to students, which is included for all students living on the residential campus.

When students live on campus, all of their transportation is included!

Xavier’s residential campus is under surveillance 24/7 with cameras strategically placed throughout the residential campus grounds and within the residential building. The residential campus is gated, and no one can enter without an ID.
