Joiin AI adds real time intelligence to your existing workflows, helping you keep track of shifts in performance and build more insightful reports with ease.

FINANCE TEAMS WANT FASTER ANSWERS, CLEARER COMMENTARY, AND REPORTING THAT KEEPS PACE WITH THE BUSINESS. TO SUPPORT THIS SHIFT, WE ARE INTRODUCING JOIIN AI, POWERED BY OUR NEW JOIIN INTELLIGENCE ENGINE. IT BRINGS REAL-TIME INSIGHTS AND ANALYSIS DIRECTLY INTO THE JOIIN PLATFORM, TO HELP YOU REPORT SMARTER AND STAY AHEAD OF PERFORMANCE SHIFTS.

You’ll start to see the Joiin AI icon across reports, report packs, and dashboards

from today. Wherever the icon appears, you can ask questions, generate summaries, or get help structuring your reporting. Everything runs within a secure, controlled, and fully auditable environment aligned with our AI and data policies.

Smarter reporting as part of your workflow

Joiin Intelligence is designed to work quietly in the background until you need it. It draws on financial and non-financial data, checks the context, and returns clear explanations linked back to the underlying num-

bers. Whether you report at entity level, across multiple entities, or through a wider operational dataset, Joiin AI helps surface what matters.

You can ask about trends, anomalies, performance movements, or variances. You can generate narrative commentary for any report. You can even create a full report pack simply by describing its audience and purpose. Joiin AI recommends sections, layouts, KPIs, and time periods, giving you a strong starting point without the blank page.

THE OVERARCHING THEMES FOR MYOB PRACTICE COMPLIANCE THIS YEAR ARE CONNECT, EXPAND, AND STRENGTHEN.

MYOB Practice Compliance is our connected, cloud-based solution for MYOB Accountant’s Office and Accountant’s Enterprise (AO/AE) users. It connects client ledgers into a single compliance workflow, including workpapers, financial statements, tax returns, and digital approval portals.

While MYOB Practice Compliance has been rolling out modules and features for several years, 2025 saw it truly come into its own, with the release of all major tax return types on the platform. The Tax in MYOB Practice Compliance module

notes

released more worksheets, connected more workflows, and saw more customers shifting their work online. A total of 25,000 returns were lodged through the platform this year.

Client Accounting evolved, too. Financial reporting for more company structures, AI mapping, and more core workpapers have all helped us lay a foundation for smooth, connected workflows and consistency. The end-goal is a platform that lets accountants manage all their account prep in one place, with simple, standardised templates and automation to accelerate work.

In case you missed anything, here’s a look at some of the most important changes

Expanding and enhancing Tax in MYOB Practice Compliance

For Tax in MYOB Practice Compliance, 2025 has seen two major shifts. First, we’ve taken some big steps — or many smaller steps — toward complete tax compliance coverage on the platform. Pre-2025, you could prepare and lodge major returns in the cloud, but had to go back to MYOB Accountant’s Enterprise or Accountant’s Office (AE/ AO) for specialist returns or worksheets. Bringing more returns online means less switching between platforms and increased productivity for practices.

IF YOU’RE A XERO PARTNER IN AUSTRALIA, YOU KNOW THAT COMPLIANCE WORK IS ESSENTIAL, BUT WITHOUT THE RIGHT TOOLS AVAILABLE, IT CAN BE A MASSIVE TIME SINK. WHEN A RECENT XERO SURVEY FOUND THAT MANY AUSTRALIAN FIRMS REPORT SPENDING OVER HALF (51% TO 75%) OF THEIR ANNUAL COMPLIANCE TIME CREATING, REVIEWING, AND MANAGING WORKPAPERS1, WE KNEW THIS WAS A CLEAR SIGNAL THAT THINGS HAD TO CHANGE. WE NEEDED TO FIND A BETTER WAY TO KEEP AN ‘AUDIT TRAIL’ OF IMPORTANT CHECKS AND BALANCES, SUBSEQUENTLY RECLAIMING YOUR VALUABLE TIME THAT COULD BE BETTER SPENT ADVIS-

Productivity is crucial for a healthy practice. That’s why we’re focused on improving your practice tools and delivering a more seamless compliance workflow. We’ve been listening to your feedback, and are excited to share what we’ve built together.

• What’s new: A pause option for the timer so you can pause a running timer and come back to it, without creating separate time entries.

• Why it helps: Makes time tracking more accurate and less disruptive when work is frequently interrupted - ideal for anyone who switches between tasks, takes short breaks, or needs to pause for meetings or site visits.

• Heads up: Any bills or stock receipts from the original PO will be moved to the revised version - a warning appears before this is processed.

SYDNEY-BASED LOGICGLUE HAS UNVEILED THE WORLD’S FIRST CONVERSATIONAL AI SYSTEM THAT INTEGRATES A GENERAL-PURPOSE LARGE LANGUAGE MODEL (LLM) DIRECTLY WITH THE POPULAR ACCOUNTING PLATFORM XERO.

LogicGlue enables Xero users to use models like ChatGPT and Claude directly with their live Xero data.

“We have spent over a year building the first version of LogicGlue, with privacy, security, and guardrails included in the product from

Importantly, LogicGlue does not store copies of Xero user data, use any customer data for AI training, or track user queries or responses.

The launch comes at a time when 40% of small business owners say bookkeeping is the most frustrating part of their job, and a striking 82% of business failures are due to poor cash-

flow management.

The potential impact of effective AI solutions in reducing these frustrations is significant.

LogicGlue provides two main ways for Xero users to access its conversational AI capabilities:

Deputy partners with SuperAPI to streamline employee onboarding and help get shift-based industries ready for PayDay

DEPUTY, THE GLOBAL PEOPLE PLATFORM FOR SHIFT-BASED WORK, HAS ANNOUNCED A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH SUPERAPI, MARKING A MAJOR ENHANCEMENT TO ITS HR PRODUCT SUITE. THE INTEGRATION WILL UPLIFT THE EMPLOYEE ONBOARDING EXPERIENCE BY PROVIDING SHIFT WORKERS ACROSS AUSTRALIA OPPORTUNITIES TO SAVE FEES BY STAPLING THEIR SUPERANNUATION TO PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS, AND SIMPLIFY THE FILING PROCESS FOR BUSINESSES, SAVING HOURS A WEEK.

Through this partnership, Deputy will embed SuperAPI’s TFND and Superannuation steps directly into its HR workflow, allowing new

employees to seamlessly select and retain their preferred super fund within the Deputy platform. This eliminates the need for repetitive account creation when starting a new job, helping workers avoid unnecessary fees and ensuring their retirement savings remain consolidated and protected.

According to ATO data from June 2025, 21% of working Australians have two or more superannuation accounts, often doubling the fees that are unnecessarily eating away at their retirement savings. This trend is often attributed to the challenges posed by employees in nominating their existing member accounts when changing jobs.

“This integration levels

up Deputy’s HR offering in Australia, empowering shift workers with genuine choice and transparency around their existing superannuation fund(s) and the choices they can make – and saving hours for their employers by removing manual filing of super choices through clearing house software,” said Deepesh Banerji, Chief Product Officer at Deputy. “By embedding SuperAPI directly into the onboarding process, we’re simplifying compliance for employers and creating a smoother, more trustworthy experience for every new team member; a critical step in getting employers PayDay Super ready; accurate onboarding equals accurate and timely payroll.”

Joiin named FinTech of the Year at the Tech South West Awards

It’s an exciting moment for our team here in Exeter and a reflection on what has been a standout year for the platform.

THE AWARDS BRING TOGETHER TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES FROM ACROSS THE SOUTH WEST, CELEBRATING THE OUTSTANDING WORK HAPPENING ACROSS OUR REGION. TO BE RECOGNISED AMONG SUCH A STRONG GROUP OF INNOVATORS IS SOMETHING WE ARE INCREDIBLY PROUD OF.

Redirecting 10% of spending from big to small retailers could add $11B to small business economy

XERO, THE GLOBAL SMALL BUSINESS PLATFORM, HAS FOUND SHIFTING JUST 10% OF SPENDING FROM BIG TO SMALL BUSINESSES COULD MEAN $11 BILLION MORE IN THE HANDS OF SMALL BUSINESSES.

Xero economists have analysed 2024 New Zealand household consumption data and excluded spending unlikely to be with small businesses, like utilities, some transport and communications. An estimated $110 billion of household spend-

ing remains. Moving just 10% of this potential spend would bring $11 billion to small businesses.

Bridget Snelling, Country Manager - Aotearoa New Zealand at Xero, says conscious consumers can have a significant impact on the small business economy, especially in key spending periods like Black Friday and Christmas.

“November and December are the biggest months of the year for the retail industry. There is always a lot of noise coming from the big

business retailers which can make the smaller retailers with their own unique offerings a lot harder to notice.

“We’re calling on all New Zealanders to consider local small businesses when they’re shopping over Black Friday and Christmas. Of course you need to consider your personal circumstances and household budgets, but even a small reallocation of purchases makes a big difference.”

Intuit Australia selects SISS Data Services to power Open Banking data feeds for QuickBooks

INTUIT AUSTRALIA (INTUIT) HAS ENGAGED SISS DATA SERVICES (SISS) AS AN OUTSOURCED SERVICE PROVIDER TO FACILITATE OPEN BANKING DATA FEEDS FOR INTUIT’S QUICKBOOKS CUSTOMERS ACROSS AUSTRALIA.

As Intuit’s technology partner, SISS has enabled the critical integration that connects Intuit QuickBooks’ customers with their banking data via Australia’s Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework.

Open Banking data feeds are now being rolled out progressively for QuickBooks customers, with Commonwealth Bank of Australia and National Australia Bank connections already live, and over 100 other financial institutions to follow.

Intuit is seeking CDR data collection and sharing consents from its Australian QuickBooks customers as an integral part of the new

customer sign-up process for the Intuit QuickBooks Online accounting platform in Australia.

Existing QuickBooks customers can also switch their existing bank feeds to the vastly superior Open Banking bank feeds.

“SISS is delighted to support Intuit’s Open Banking data feeds as their chosen outsourced service provider,” said Grant Augustin, Founder & CEO at SISS Data Services.

“The benefits of Open Banking for small business owners and their trusted advisors include real-time data sync, time efficiency, simplified cash flow, better client insights and enhanced security standards,” he added.

Intuit and SISS have a strong existing business relationship spanning 10 years in Australia. As an Accredited Data Recipient, SISS enables Intuit to access over 100 Open Banking APIs on

behalf of Intuit’s QuickBooks customers.

“As a long-standing technology partner working with Intuit to power ‘accounting-grade’ data, we’re building on 10 years of experience and the strong foundation of regulatory compliance and technical excellence that both parties have,” Mr Augustin said.

Lara Thompson, Head of Partnerships APAC at Intuit said: “As the first financial management software provider to achieve Accredited Data Recipient status, Intuit is proud to roll out Australia’s most advanced bank feed solution with the help of SISS as our technology provider.”

The Xero Partner Hub update for apps

THE NEW XERO PARTNER HUB MARKS A MAJOR STEP IN TRANSFORMING THE ARRAY OF XERO’S PRACTICE TOOLS (XERO HQ, XERO TAX, AND XPM) INTO ONE UNIFIED EXPERIENCE FOR ACCOUNTANTS AND BOOKKEEPERS. WE RECENTLY HOSTED A WEBINAR, PRESENTED BY SENIOR PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER JOSIE ATTARD, TO DISCUSS WHAT THIS MEANS FOR APP PARTNERS.

Key updates and opportunities for app partners in Xero Partner Hub

• Expanded customer base: Previously, apps integrating into practice workflows were limited to

customers actively using the Xero Practice Manager (XPM) APIs. Now that the Xero Partner Hub is the single destination for all partners, partners who were historically Xero HQ-only users will automatically gain access to the Hub’s baseline features, and thus, gain the ability to use XPM API integrations. This immediately widens the market for your existing XPM app integrations, especially in regions with a high number of Xero HQ users.

Worldpay MCP opens new possibilities for developers to create and test AI agents and payments infrastructure integrations directly with Worldpay APIs

W• New visibility channel (app launcher): A key feature coming to the Xero Partner Hub is the App Launcher, which currently exists only in core Xero. Find out more COMMERCE.

Sharesight product updates

– November 2025

WE ARE ROLLING OUT OUR NEW CALENDAR FEATURE TO ALL STANDARD AND PREMIUM PAYING CUSTOMERS TODAY, MONDAY 17 NOVEMBER. WE’VE RECEIVED A LOT OF POSITIVE FEEDBACK REGARDING THIS NEW FEATURE AND ARE EXCITED TO ROLL IT OUT IN FULL.

In keeping with our focus on the dividend investor last Thursday, we released a ‘Dividend insights’ pane on the holdings page that includes among other things dividend yield and yield on cost. The dividend yield is a simplistic calculation, taking the sum of all dividends with an ex-date in the past year and dividing that value by the current price. To make the value comparable across any market, we have made

the deliberate decision to exclude tax credits and supplementary dividends from the equation. We do have a few tidy ups to do, such as adjusting for splits and considerations, and these will be addressed in the coming weeks.

Yield on cost uses the same formula, but instead of dividing by the current share price, we divide by the average purchase price. As a result, this metric excludes brokerage from the equation. Depending on feedback and demand, we may look to expand on both these calculations. Despite these qualifiers, we think these new data points add another set of useful insights into your investments.
