Part A 甲部

Words From Director 導演的話 Chun To Yeung 楊竣淘

One year of writing, two months of rehearsing, three days of performing, and then comes the dreaded bell, the announcement: ‘Your Time is Up’. Like our characters, time is our currency.

The brevity of time forces us to live, savour when it lasts, and ultimately, to pursue what matters and give up what don’t. I have an optimistic, humanist belief that life is not destined, but the accumulation of the choices we’ve made, and they each breed their own unique, parallel universes. Behind each actor and crew member, is a soul whom have chosen to follow their passion, and together we as a collective built from scratch, a show that belongs to everyone of us.

Choice brought us together, not chance, and this story is about just that.

‘Chasing Stars’ is a result of my passion for learning, and I believe there is not a more opportune moment for myself to write about youth and pedagogy than now, when I am most in tune with the present, educative world. I was also insistent to make this a native Hong Kong story. The privilege of attending an international school in this case became a liability, as much as I hate to admit it, I basically lived a foreign life in Hong Kong. Writing the story in English or about IB I felt was unfaithful to the task. I therefore was adamant that despite the amount of extra research I might have to do, that I will write this piece in Chinese and about DSE. Artistically, I believe the advantage of taking on multiple roles (playwright, lyricist, director and choreographer), is that they cross-inform the decisions I make. For example, I like to write dreams, or ‘collective hallucinations’ (a term I invented), so that when I direct I can find moments of absurdity where characters can disobey the laws of physics and naturalism and burst into physical theatre and dance. As a visual director, I also like songs that travel through time and space, rather than one that dives emotionally into a singular moment. This to me gives songs momentum, makes unpredictable, and every second becomes its own unique painting. Using

different vocabulary in lyrics implies different styles of music and allows me to play with a palette of different styles of dance. Having a devised theatre background, made me value experimentation, changing dialogues as we go, and the luxury of being the playwright and director of an original musical is that there is nothing to be faithful to.

The approach that Amos and I have used in writing the songs is that lyrics come before the music, which is unorthodox for Cantonese musicals because vocabulary in Cantonese is limiting in tonality. However, by doing so, it allows for much more lyrical freedom, to write more clever rhymes, and enabling me to write phrases like ‘家家有本難念的經’, which would otherwise never be able to see light in Cantonese songs if using the opposite formula. And of course, this also proves how talented Amos Wong is, to be able to turn something so creatively restrictive into something musical.

The energy in this cast is explosive, and their dedication and commitment to this project is way beyond what was asked of them, and for that I cannot be more grateful. They make 8-hour rehearsals, 5 days a week fly by, they make coming to rehearsals a joy not a job, and they remind me why I am willing to dedicate my life to the theatre.

I have learnt so much from them. Working with Amos is also immensely encouraging, everytime he sends me a demo to a new song, I cannot help myself but feel like a baby unwrapping a present.

We forced ourselves to produce a new song every 5 days, it was very stressful, but there is no one else I could picture myself doing this same task with and with which can match the sheer force, chemistry and excitement of this project. It was truly a magnificent journey.

Finishing my final draft of this show, I thought: What can I possibly write next? This piece is basically everything I know about life.

I don’t know either.

人總渴望有更多的時間，但往往是因為它的 短暫，促使我們凝著每一段即將流走的畫 面，去斗量身邊各種事物的價值，為所嚮往 的未來捨棄其他。排戲如此，人生亦如此。 由一年孤單在黯淡的房間寫作，到兩個月日 夜在排練室與演員吱喳，到最後放心將與我 形影不離的靈魂完整無缺地付託在演員手 中，一切都來得太快了。再給我十個漏斗的 時間都未能徹底享受夠。這一年就像自己都 考上了DSE，而這三場的表演就是那考試， 把所準備的都完整無缺地搬上台。

中學最後一年是我人生中最深刻的一年。不 論是談夢想、學業、家庭、愛情，從前順風 而行的，覺得理所當然的都會因為準備要踏 入人生的下一個階段而有所質疑。年少無知 的大家都被逼要長大，不能再人云亦云地走 在羊群背後，要選擇屬於自己的方向。而當 一個人學識選擇，對我來說，他人生才真正 的開始。我這個劇，是送給我的過去，送給 悉心教導我的每位老師。我想將這故事設定 於香港，但我自少在國際學校長大，與朋友 都是用英語溝通，電話裡頭的歌都是來自百 老匯，時常質疑自己對香港的認知。我記得 第一稿更是用英文寫，是寫關於IB的，下筆 後感覺它不地道。於是，我開始我的資料搜 集了，訪問身邊的朋友，扚起心肝從零開始 認識HKDSE；同樣因為這樣，即使要花十 倍的時間再次回歸中文詞彙，我都務必要用 粵語完成這套音樂劇。

我覺得一次擔任幾個角色的好處（劇作家、 填詞人、導演和編舞），就是他們互相影響 著我在每一個範疇所下的決定。因為我很喜 歡導形體劇場，所以我會特意在劇本裡放置 一些角色進入夢境的情節，我叫「集體幻 覺」，令一套發生在現實世界的故事注入一 種魔幻、超自然的感覺和抽象視覺美。我嘗 試填的詞都是不停浮動的，甚少會停留在一 瞬間，配合我導演時的藝術取向。這種流動 力可以令每一刻感覺是新鮮和不可預測的， 不停推進劇情。我和Amos用先詞後曲的方 法寫作，這樣角色想說的話就不會受旋律限 Answers written in the margins will not be marked.

制，令我可以配合「船到橋頭自然直」等諺 語，但這樣Amos要配上入耳的音樂就更有 挑戰性，從而看得出他的了得。

同呢班人排戲真係好開心。每一位都爆發著 無窮無盡的能量、源源不絕的想像，互相感 染。每次踏上台都能擦出新火花，發掘出新 靈感。很多時候更因為有演員傻傻的看錯時 間表來錯彩排而為他們新加台詞和戲份。很 多人初次接觸音樂劇，但同樣以一個專業、 勤奮的態度對待整個密集的排練過程，為此 我感到無比的安慰。真心會好掛住這班由朝 見到晚，彩排完一起吃宵夜，共同進退的一 班朋友！

與Amos合作亦是另一個快樂。雖則在創作 的途中，兩人分別在香港和英國，但這並沒 有阻止到我們的合作過程，反而令我們更加 珍惜能夠共同上線Whatsapp的時候。我倆都 有著龐大的夢想，有他在我身旁走這條創作 路賦予我很大的信心，令我覺得非常幸運。 希望大家繼續支持蛋炸饅頭劇場的表演！

我對生命的一切感觸和領悟好像都完完全全 地寫在這個劇本裡了。完稿後我認真問了自 己一句：你這樣日後還可以寫什麼？我確實 不知道。

Synopsis 概要

‘Chasing Stars’ is an original Cantonese musical that explores the struggles of teenagers. In the coming year, these students will face their most momentous challenge yet: Diploma of Secondary Education. Within this war lies four warriors, each striving for a different kind of future. Unbeknownst to them, these four lives will intertwine, forming the most beautiful fireworks, and the ugliest storms. Each decision they make here on out will cause a ripple effect, as they soon become overwhelmed by the savagery of reality and discover their own purpose in life.

The toughest of choices breed the bravest of men, would you be willing to sacrifice everything in exchange for the one thing that truly matters to you?

Part B 乙部 TEAM OF XTRAMENTAL

1. President, Artistic Director

Chun To Yeung

主席及藝術總監 楊竣淘

Chun To Yeung graduated from University of Birmingham in Drama and Theatre Arts, with an Excellent First Class grade for his Practical Project in Drama: ‘ASIAN vs. AS.I.AM’ (2019), looking at the institutional racism in Asian representation in Western culture, receiving the highest score that has ever been awarded by the department since establishment. As part of his degree, he also worked in ‘Lucas and Time’ (2017), stage managed ‘Fear and Misery of the Third Reich’ (2018), co-devised ‘Socially-Constructed Unhinged Madness’ (2018): a response to Solanas’ SCUM Manifesto, and ‘Going Dark in Se7en’ (2019): an interactive murder-mystery experience.

Chun To worked with LYNNEBEC in two devised, site-specific pieces, ‘Deep Fake’ (2018) in Lapworth Museum of Geology exploring technology; and ‘Animals/Us’ (2019) in Barber Institute of Fine Arts shedding light on animal cruelty. Additionally, he co-founded Triple-Take Curations and curated ‘The New Archaics’ (2019): meshing contemporary art with a traditional setting: Selly Manor. He also worked with the Live Art society to create ‘Questioning Grenfell’ (2019): a political, interactive installation piece dedicated to the tragedy of Grenfell.

Chun To received musical theatre and tap training for eight years, and choral training for thirteen at Yip’s Children’s Musical Theatre Group, and have earned a Subject Excellence in IB Theatre at Victoria Shanghai Academy. He is deeply affiliated with the Guild Musical Theatre Group and 3BUGS; recent credits include: ‘Made in Dagenham’ (2018), ‘Hairspray’ (2018), ‘All Grown Up’ (2018), ‘Rent’ (2019), ‘Spring Awakening’ (2019). He is also the musical director of his acapella group: One Note Stand, and performed as the tenor and beatboxer for the past three years. Chun To trained at London’s Musical Theatre Masterclass, led by Broadway performer Michael Xavier.

Chun To’s playwriting and directorial career began with XTRAMENTAL, starting with ‘Hello To My Hollow Heart’ (2017): three short plays about human indifference. Then they took on a commissioned short-musical from Yip’s Children’s Choir to produce ‘How I Cracked Singing’ (2018): speaking of the struggles of a choir boy during puberty.

Shortly after, they did ‘Mind, and Hours’ (2018), a musical concert about Hong Kong.

‘Chasing Stars’ (2019) would be their first full-length musical.

2. Vice President, Music Director 副主席及音樂總監

Amos Wong 王樂行 Born and raised in Hong Kong, Amos Wong received choral and instrumental music training at a young age.

He is currently studying Composition and Electronic Music at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Works of Amos explore the limitless realms of multidisciplinary arts. His main productions include: 'How I Cracked Singing' (2018), ‘Mind, and Hours’ (2018) and ‘Hello To My Hollow Heart’ (2017).

Hillary Ngo 敖溢 Hillary attended the ‘Fundamental of Stage Management’ course at EXCEL (Extension and Continuing Education for Life) at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She recently graduated from the University of Birmingham.

敖溢畢業於香港演藝學院之演藝進修學院（EXCEL） 基礎舞台訓練課程。剛畢業於伯明翰大學。

4. Graphic Designer 平面設計

Avery Choi 蔡喬匡 Avery Choi is a placement year Digital Media Arts student, currently studying at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. He first got into design and photography when he started a music cover channel with Chun To and Amos in secondary school - “Think Production”. He became determined in turning his passion into a full-fledged career, actively taking on the role of publicity in various committees. This includes student council at Victoria Shanghai Academy; Student Union’s HKPASS, Japanese and Photographic society at the University of Surrey. Experience in professional environments like Japan Travel and SCMP further expand his creative skill set. Avery has been part of XTRAMENTAL since the beginning and he is very excited about what the future will bring.

5. Pianist, Chorusmaster and Project Coordinator 伴奏、指揮及項目經理

Chen Hiu Yan 陳曉茵 Chen started learning piano at a young age, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts Degree of Music in the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Receiving the Parsons Music Foundation Scholarship, she has recently participated in Valencia International Piano Academy (VIPA) to study with prestigious piano pedagogues. She is also active in other art and music festivals. Chen has performed a solo piano concerto in an open concert. She has also completed the piano recital diploma (ATCL). Other than solo performances, she is passionate in piano accompaniment in many occasions, choral music, musical teaching and participated in art volunteering to promote music across different walks of life. Chen graduated from International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School, and has been given the "Academic Excellence Award" twice in Music.

Iris Lai

佈景設計 黎洛沂 黎洛沂剛畢業於香港演藝學院，主修佈景及服裝設計。 現時爲自由身設計師，工作主要為舞台及平面設計。在 學期間，曾任音樂劇《青春的覺醒》佈景設計及《加數 機》副服裝設計。除了佈景及服裝設計，她也熱衷於研 究燈光和舞台效果，日後期望在舞台藝術上有更大突破。

過往參與作品： 中英劇團《水滸嘍囉》副服裝設計、不小心合作社《一個 喪禮。一個婚禮》服裝設計、撲熱息痛工作室《鰻魚》服 裝設計等。

2. Lighting Design 燈光設計

Hui Tsz Ling 許紫玲 Hui Tsz Ling from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), BFA(Hons) majoring in Lighting Design, proficient in working for musical performances. She was awarded scholarship for the exchange program at Taipei National University of the Arts(TNUA). She has worked as lighting designer and programer for many local musicians and bands.

Her recent design works include Kol141 Banned in China Tour; Detuned Radio Music Festival(PHOON); PHOON mini Album CD Release; MAX CHAN Piano Recital Journey.

3. Vocal Coach 聲樂指導

Justin Cheung 張毓穎 Justin Cheung’s earliest encounters with music were when he studied piano under the tutelage of his mother and sang in the Hong Kong Children's Choir. He obtained an Associate Degree in Music Studies from the Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in piano under Amelia Chan. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in opera and vocal studies under David Quah. He has involved in several opera productions, included the role of Simone in Gianni Schicchi and Schlemiel in The Tales of Hoffmann, which were staged at HKAPA; and joined in Bel Canto Singers' projects, including 'The Happy Prince & The Other Wise Man' and 'What Love Tells Me'.

Apart from classical music training, he has great passion towards A Cappella music. He has been actively engaged in performing, as well as teaching A Cappella singing. As a performer, he has participated in 2012 & 2013 HKFYG Jockey Club Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival, as a member of the Hong Kong Melody Makers. He has also sung in various gigs and performances with a number of groups, including Republic-A and Lab Humane.

4. Backstage Chorusmaster

Chow Tsz Hin

合唱團指揮 周子騫 周子鶱現為香港演藝學院音樂學士四年級生，主修作曲 及電子音樂，師隨張珮珊博士。在學期間先後獲得獅子 會音樂慈善基金獎學金和垂誼樂社獎學金，並曾到南韓 首爾大學作曲系作交流生。周氏熱心創作，涉獵創作不 同類型的音樂作品。去年受其母校英皇書院委約為學校 中樂團金禧音樂會創作《心中殘紅》一曲。

1. Leads i. Merry Ho 何旻蔚 / Jennifer 畢業於聖公會鄧肇堅中學，自小熱愛表演，曾習粵劇及參加多次校 際朗誦節比賽，於高中時擔任學校合唱團學生指揮，並參與香港聲 蜚合唱節《說時依舊》音樂劇場表演，現為浸會大學合唱團成員。 在這個由數字組成的社會中，金錢利益和分數的追逐令年輕的衝勁 和熱誠漸漸在現實中磨滅，忽略了身邊的人、事、物。為了探索真 實的自己，分享一個讓心靈歇息的地方，義無反顧地選擇衝上所嚮 往的舞台，踏進未知的國度。即使世間否定，至少是我的決定。

ii. Li Kin Wang 李鍵泓 / Lucas 李鍵泓現為香港城市大學環球商業二年級學生。曾就讀國際基督 教優質音樂中學暨小學，初中考獲鋼琴八級。其後於英國就讀 Warwick School，在GCSE會考科目戲劇及音樂均考取A。高中為 學校合唱團團長，曾於巴塞隆拿蒙塞拉特修道院，巴黎聖母院及倫 敦聖保羅大教堂演出，獲得學校頒發對校內音樂作出貢獻的嘉許獎 項。李鍵泓在中學上課時與戲劇結緣，於校內音樂劇《夢斷城西》 飾演Nibbles。上年於城大音樂劇《渾身是勁》擔任Willard Hewitt 一角。今年十分慶幸參演 《DSE奪夢追星》音樂劇，希望各位觀 眾喜歡這齣原創粵語音樂劇。Together, we go!

iii. Jacky Chow 周晉頎 / Marco

周晉頎現於英國伯明翰大學就讀心理學學士一年級，現為Guild Musical Theatre Group活躍成員之一，在本年度參演音樂劇 《Rent》並在《The Wedding Singer》裡主演George一角。他希 望透過相關課程及舞台經驗，謙虛學習，成為一名出色的音樂劇 演員。在2014年「第66屆校際朗誦節」英語二人戲劇組奪得冠軍 後，他開始投身發掘自己對音樂及戲劇的興趣，並在2015年加入 香港兒童音樂劇團隨師胡秀慧學戲，在周年演出《天使盼盼》飾演 幸運兒。他在英國就讀高中時成為King’s Company裡唯一一名亞 洲演員，參演《Into the Woods》和《Les Misérables》（飾演The Pimp）。

iv. Shania Lui Montevalde 望文騫 / Madison Shania is a 15 year old who studies at International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School. She has been dancing ballet and jazz since the age of two and started contemporary dancing at nine years old. Apart from dancing, Shania also loves to sing and enjoys being on stage. Shania is currently a member of the RVA flash choir and has been dancing in CCDC’s scholarship scheme teens of colours since 2015.

2. Family Members i. Brian Wan 尹琮瑜 / Mr Tang Brian, 37-year-old, is a civil engineer. He has joined the Munsang College Alumni Choir since 2007 and a member of the Hong Kong Oratorio Society since 2014. In the past few years, Brian has participated in the Yip's Children Musical Theater's productions: Mulan Jr. (2007), Snoopy! (2008), My Son Pinocchio (2010), Big! The Musical (2011), Little Mermaid Jr. (2012), Beauty and the Beast Jr. (2014), Honk! Jr. (2015), Seussical Jr. (2016), Wizard of Oz (2017) and Alice in Wonderland (2018). Brian has participated in XTRAMENTAL’s production ‘Mind, and Hours’ in 2018 and enjoyed working with Amos and Chun To very much.

ii. Pong Chun Hang 龎鎮衡 / Mr Fung 20歲，就讀香港樹仁大學新聞及傳播學系二年級。進入大學後開始接 觸戲劇，現正積極在不同演出中探索戲劇，努力學習成為一個更好的 人和演員。主要參與製作之舞台劇作品：一路青空「賭唔過」戲劇工 作坊及結業演出(2018)、騷戲劇盟「滙演2018」-《WinGMan》(2018) 和紫昕音樂世界《花木蘭穿越神話》童話音樂劇(重演) (2018)。

iii. Harriet Yeung 楊晞忻 / Mrs Tang Harriet Yeung graduated from HKAPA EXCEL with BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre).

She is currently a Tap dancer trainee4 at Rhythm & Tempo in Hong Kong, and is the teaching assistant of HKAPA EXCEL and CCDC children’s class. She has performed in the seasonal shows at the Hong Kong International Airport, Tai Kwun JC Contemporary, and other commercial dance performances in Hip-Hop. She has been modelling for Youth Square “Cheongsam Angels”- with a designation as the ‘Best Performer’, and was awarded with ‘Most Energetic’ at 2018 World Supermodel Production – Hong Kong, China and Macau Region.

iv. Tang Yuk Ting Rosella 鄧旭婷 / Rachel Rosella is a 15 year old who studies at Pui Kiu College. She has won numerous prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in both vocal solo and duet categories. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Children’s Choir and performed both locally and overseas.

She has toured to China, Portugal, Australia, Estonia, and Finland with the choir as a chorister, dancer, and percussionist in recent years. Yip Hei Samuel 葉希 / Barry 葉希是一位歌唱家，現時19歲。九月將會進入香港演藝學院修讀聲 樂演奏，繼續深造聲樂；現時師隨譚天樂老師，以前亦曾經師隨林 俊老師以及陳姿華老師，並已考獲英國皇家音樂學院八級資格。此 外，葉希亦有修習小提琴，並師隨何珈樑老師，已考獲英國聖三一 學院ATCL小提琴演奏文憑。葉希曾經參加第69及70屆香港學校音 樂節（2017,2018）聲樂獨唱（男中音及男低音19歲或以下）及藝 術歌曲（15歲或以上）組別，分別獲得兩次亞軍及一次季軍。除此 之外，葉希在國際聯校音樂大賽（2016）（八級組聲樂組）亦獲得 亞軍。葉希曾參加Eduardo Chama、Akiko Hosaki、Joy Mammen 等聲樂大師班。在2016年，葉希以男高音的身份曾參加全港首次推 行的流動數碼劇場「莎士比亞：仲夏夜之夢-愛漂流」，獲得不少 好評。葉希在2016年成為香港演藝學院Chamber Choir成員之一， 更在2018年成為香港兒童交響樂團中提琴首席。葉希畢業於國際基 督教優質音樂中學，並在2019年得到「堅信揚聲獎學金」音樂獎學 金，以及連續兩屆獲得校內器樂科學科。

ii. Candice Tang 鄧善怡 / Michelle (Dance Chorus) Candice is excited to be returning for her second show with XTRAMENTAL. She is most recently seen in A Sketch Of New York (Off-Off Broadway). Selected credits include Iris Kelly in Fame and Cha Cha in Grease (City University of Hong Kong); Catch Me If You Can and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Face Productions); Mulan Jr. (Theatre Noir). Training: Broadway Dance Center.

iii. Mo Hiu Shan Heidi 毛曉珊 / Cassie 毛曉珊是一位演員，現時18歲，剛畢業於聖傑靈女子中學，曾擔任演 員，導演及編劇的職位。其主要曾經參與製作之舞台劇作品如：2016 年：戲·同行《門劏戶對》；2017年：戲·同行《零時零分以後》 ；2017年聯校戲劇之夜《LOST XVI》擔任導演；並於2018年的聯校 戲劇之夜《逆時光》擔任副導演及編劇一職。她現正於不同崗位嘗試 探索舞台劇，並且準備修讀有關舞台劇及表演技巧的課程。

iv. Malun Chan 陳冠綸 / Steven Malun生於北緯22.3°，自2014年起開始參演舞台劇，包括生命 TEEN戲《重拾》、《心鎖》，沙田話劇團《過錯·錯過》，騷戲 劇盟《一日快樂》等等。為求發洩溢出的情緒及打發暑假過剩的時 間, 毅然選擇於2019年參與第一部音樂劇《DSE奪夢追星》，發掘 世界新的一面。

v. Fung Yi Ching Charis 馮以晴 / Karen (Dance Chorus) Charis is a 17 year old student passionate about the performing arts. She joined the Yip’s Children’s Choir and Musical Theatre Programme when she was young, and has participated in many productions since then. In 2017 she played Dorothy and Glinda in “Wizard of Oz Jr”, and in 2018, she participated in her school’s annual musical production and landed the role of Anita in the show “West Side Story”.

vi. Maggie Tam 譚曉晴 / Sharon (Dance Chorus) Maggie Tam is a fifteen year old student studying at Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School. She has loved and has been involved with music and performing arts from a young age. She was a member of The Hong Kong Children's Choir for the duration of twelve years, going overseas with the choir to perform and participate in international music festivals. She has taken part in several musical productions in the past, for example "Aladdin", "The Magic Flute", "West Side Story" and "Pinocchio". She is delighted and very excited to be joining XTRAMENTAL in this production.

vii. Kalin Lam 林翱 / Prefect Kalin has been passionate about music and performing art at a young age. She studied in International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School which developed her interest enormously by learning vocal, piano, clarinet and other music related subjects.

She was also a clarinettist of the Hong Kong Children Symphony Orchestra and a singer of the Phoenix Singers. Kalin finished college in the United Kingdom and studied Music, Drama and Theatre Studies and Psychology. She has participated in various productions such as a devised piece 'Culpa Heitara 怪責 Blame', 'Numbers', 'The Love of the Nightingale' and 'Chicago'.

4. Auditionees i. Jolly Fung 馮以欣 / Harriet (Dance Chorus) Jolly is a 16 year old who currently studies at Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School. She loves musical theatre and sports. Jolly joined Yip's at the age of 5 and joined the musical theatre class at the age of 8. She joined many different activities and performances, including school musicals, Yip's as well as XTRAMENTAL. Jolly is looking forward to taking on the role of Harriet in this production.

ii. Anisa To 杜詠晴 / Natalie (Dance Chorus) Graduated from Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School, Anisa is passionate about Theatre and the Performing Arts. She studied IGCSE Drama and have enjoyed the process of it. She joined the PIP performing arts programme at the age of 5 and has participated in many productions since then. In the school's 2016 annual musical, she played the role Dorothy in "Wizard of Oz"; in 2018, she played the role Rosalia in "West Side Story".

5. Tutors i. Jason Li 李祖舜 / Walter Chui / Invigilator 李祖舜自小開始接觸音樂，現就讀英華書院中四年級，學習鋼 琴和小提琴，並在演藝學院的青少年音樂課程學習聲樂。李 祖舜在過去亦曾參加過鼓隊和不同合唱小組、合唱團，現為 Die Jungen Konzertisten一員。李祖舜在過去幾年亦有跟從學校到 各地進行交流和公演，因此對聲樂及音樂劇的興趣和認知亦逐漸加 深，並希望將來能進修與音樂和戲劇相關的科目。

ii. Kong Ka Ho Martin 江嘉濠 / Karl Lui Martin Kong studied Mathematics in the University of Birmingham, and has developed an interest in performing arts. In his early years, he was involved in backstage production of dramas. Desired for a new taste of experience, he performed on stage recently, including various dance performance in different events in the UK, and was also one of the performers in XTRAMENTAL’s ‘Mind and Hours’.

6. Dance Chorus i. Nicholle Lui Montevalde 望文晞

Nicholle is a seventeen-year-old student who studies in London.

She is an avid lover of the performing arts, and has grown up being completely surrounded by music, dance and acting. As well as performing in many local productions, she has been involved in numerous International festivals including The Little Prince in the International Arts Festival 2017, the London Greenwich and Docklands International Arts Festival for both 2018 and 2019.

ii. Valerie Cheung 張鈊貽

Valerie is 15 years old, studying at Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School. She has been dancing and singing since she was a young kid.

As she received a lot of training and experiences from speech festivals, she naturally got involved in musical theatre. Joining productions from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, to Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundations, to the school's annual musical play, Valerie's love for musicals never stops. Throughout this production, she hopes to grow more as an individual and gain more experience from the cast members.

iii. Yip Shu Yan 葉澍欣 葉澍欣是一位演員，曾參與校內以及校外戲劇製作，擔任演員，編 劇及導演的職位。她現正希望於不同崗位探索舞台劇，更準備修讀 有關表演技巧之戲劇課程，繼續深造舞台。其16-18年度主要參與 之舞台劇作品如：2016年：戲。同行夏日製作《門劏戶對》以及聯 校戲劇製作《Judge》中擔任演員。2017年：戲。同行夏日製作《 零時零分以後》擔任演員，並於聯校戲劇製作《LOST XVI》擔任 演員以及助理導演。2018年：聯校戲劇製作《逆時光》擔任導演以 及編劇一職。

7. Ensemble* i. Eliza Wong 王志慧

Eliza has received her Bachelor Degree in International Journalism from Hong Kong Baptist University. She has The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 8 in Singing. She has joint the graduation performance for Musical Theatre Dance and Singing in EXCEL in HKAPA. Eliza is currently a chorus member in Opera Hong Kong and Musica Viva. Her chorus performance includes Madama Butterfly, Turnandot, Carmen, La Boheme and Aida. Besides, she has received Chinese dance training for about 7 years and also interested in Latin and Ballroom dance. She was a sound operator in the musical preview of Our Journal of Springtime in Boom Theatre. This is her first public musical performance with XTRAMENTAL.

ii. Michelle Ng 伍皓琳 Michelle is currently studying in the UK as a Year 2 student. She is doing Media Studies as the major subject in the University of Surrey as well as Theatre and Performance as the minor subject in Guildford School of Acting. She has become passionate about performing arts since attending an occasional drama class at school. Since then, she started joining more activities relevant to performing arts. For instance, Michelle joined the dramatic duologue competition of the Hong Kong Speech Festival and became the second runner-up in 2015. She also participated in the Youth Film A Campaign, which is an actor-auditioning project in China, and entered the top 100 in 2018. Later, she also performed in a micro film called ‘Nightmare’. This musical is the first open theatre performance she participated in and she enjoyed a lot.

iii. Zoe Lee 李豫言 李豫言中學時期曾代表學校出外比賽，更獲得獎項，當中包括傑出 演員獎。在暑假參與過藝術中心舉辦的傑出演員訓練班。近幾年也 繼續代表學校參與新域劇團舉辦的比賽，獲獎無數。在校外都會參 與劇團表演，如青劇團、香港手語歌舞劇團及一人一故事劇場、影 話戲等等。之前更接受香港01及隱影香港訪問有關戲劇作品心得、 幫過大學生及政府資助機構拍攝微電影作畢業作品。另外，在全港 公開舞蹈比賽（公開組）奪得冠軍及亞軍，萬聖節跳舞比賽及禁毒 舞蹈比賽等奪得冠軍。夢想看似很有意義，其實不切實際。然而， 沒有不切實際的夢想，便沒有有意義的人生。別放棄追夢，直到最 後一口氣呼出。

iv. Lam Kam Yan 林錦欣 Evelyn has participated in several drama production as a backstage crew member. This is her first time to participate in a musical and be part of the front stage.

v. Cyanne Chan 陳沛陶 Cyanne is a 17 year old student in International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School. She sings, plays the flute and the piano. Cyanne joined The Hong Kong Children’s Choir at the age of 3. She has performed with the choir both locally and overseas, including Hungary, Australia, Portugal, Estonia etc as a chorister, dancer, soloist, and flutist. She has won numerous prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in piano solo, vocal solo, and vocal duet categories. Cyanne is also passionate about composing as she loves to write diverse types of music. In 2018, she wrote the background music for the drama production “Mulan”.

vi. Annabelle Leung Yat Nam 梁逸楠 Annabelle, 19. Is excited to be a part of a show that relates to her peers.

She took the HKDSE in 2018 and is currently a freelance performer.

vii. Olivia Yeung 楊紫婷 香港兆基創意書院中五級學生，專修多媒體表演藝術科，同時為第 四屆Bravo! 香港青年劇場獎勵計劃形體劇場學員。2018年曾於即興 劇場比賽獲得冠軍。演出包括好戲量音樂劇場《駒歌2018》、誇啦 啦藝術集匯形體劇場《亂世梟雄》、選擇劇場《最佳選友》、《同 守無欺》等。校內演出包括：《遷化流》、《時空間》、表演藝術 科畢業演出《作為隱喻和意象的世界》。

viii. Andie Lo 盧祉穎

由2017年起出演之舞台劇包括《誰輕輕叫喚我》、《THE AND》 、《囍事》、《囍事》重演劇目。感謝製作團隊給予是次參演音樂 劇之機會。

ix. Tse Wing Sze Selina 謝詠思 Selina Tse is a student studying Creative Arts and Culture(Music) at The Education University of Hong Kong. She has participated in many local theatre productions like Hong Kong 3 Arts Musical Institute “Time Traveler” English Musical Theatre, Theatre Noir Youth Musical Theatre 2014-15, Holy Trinity College Golden Jubilee English Musical “Servant Leadership” and Mad Production (EDUHK musical club). As a musical theatre lover and DSE taker, she is super thankful for having this chance to sing and dance out the story of every DSE candidate with this group of lovely and talented people.

x. Chung Hiu Laam Esther 鍾曉嵐 Esther has developed her passion in drama since primary school.

She mainly focuses on acting and has been trying different posts in drama productions recently. This is her first time participating in a musical outside the campus. Her recent productions included HKUSU Drama 《叮噹》and《監有喜事2019》。
