Opposition parties slam postponement of Council workshop

A last minute cancellation of a planned Council workshop by KwaDukuza Municipality has attracted heavy criticism from opposition parties, who have since accused the ruling ANC of “impeding service delivery”.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal held a successful provincial elective congress at the weekend. Francois Rodgers retained his position as provincial leader, with Sithembiso Ngema coming in as deputy provincial leader, while Dean McPherson was re-elected as Provincial Chairperson.
