We haven’t had a day like last weekend for some time but safe to say we were all in no doubt netball is a winter sport.

The 11s continue to show good development, the 13 & Under A team had a solid hit out against the second ranked Cats, while the 13 & Under B team had a tough day out with Casterton Sandford sitting top in that grade.

The 15 & Under B had a good win in a tight one, with Layla Sneath proving to be a great addition to our club in 2023, as is Annalie Peucker, while Lily Milich continues to lead throughthemidcourt.Macie Bowering played her best game for the season and was key in helping secure the toughthreegoalwin.

The 17 & Under team didn’t endupwiththewinbutitwas far and away their best performance for the season, matching it with the top four Catsforthreequartersbefore fadinglate.

Chelsea Ryan and Sienna Bartlett, who played her 100th game for the club, look to be a strong shooting combination going forward and they worked well in tandem, making space for each other and finishing accurately.

At the other end of the court, Millacontinuestoshowgreat promise as a circle defender and Shana Grassi was also outstanding creating a lot of turnover ball against an opponent who plays A Grade fortheclubaswell.

Sophie ran the middle strongly and had an impact defensively and in attack, while Charlotte really made life tough for her opponent on the defensive wing and Sofieworkedovertimeonthe
