football club notes

Mini Colts: Another great game of footy with many goal kickers and best players.

Junior Colts: It was a really strong performance from our team against Kalangadoo in our most recent oung. We were able to put together a game that included every player on our team doing their bit to get the win. It’s been pleasing to see the team grow over the season with improvement being seen across the board. We’re playing some great team football and it’ll be important to play this way coming onto finals me. Best players were extremely difficult to pick such was the evenness from everyone however Cayden Byrne was outstanding with some great marking and leading up forward. TJ played his best game of the season showing brilliant ball skills. Harri Kennion connues his stellar run in the ruck giving us first use. Pay Clarke has really found his feet back in footy this year and is proving to be a versale big. Oli Fox used his cray le foot well to crumb a couple of nice goals and Blake Lasle played a fantasc game across half back using his aack on the ball to his advantage. Big game now against the Eagles who are playing some excellent footy and will be a great challenge leading into the business end of the season. Senior Colts: Last week we drove up to play an undermanned Kalangadoo side. They were very short so throughout the game 14 of our boys went over and played for them, so thank you to all of those boys for making a game possible for both sides. With some of our stronger players on the opposion for the first half, it was a very even contest which is what we needed. Kalangadoo had the lead at the first break, but then we managed some late goals in the 2nd quarter to take a lead at the main break. The 2nd half the boys got back to their style of footy, lowering the eyes, hing targets and playing team footy. This helped the boys run away with another solid win128 to 32. Best players sponsored by The Lynch family Jack Kain, Pay Robinson, Bradley Neale, Luke Richards, Riley Morgan and Jacob Spehr

B Grade: Pt MacDonnell 3.3 lost to Kalangadoo 12.12. Welcome to the season finale of the soap opera that is B grade... “Like meatloaf through a straw, so are the Days Of Our Lives”… and with plot lines worthy of an Emmy award or even an Academy award, this 2023 season has delivered. From the high rangs winners (vs Glencoe, Tantanoola, Mt Burr) to nailbiters (vs Kongorong, Nangwarry) to the plot thickeners (vs Robe, Hatherleigh, Kdoo)… we saw the demise (playing career) of a beloved character (Ducky O'Dine), we had the rise of Jack ”Shadow Recruit” Cawthorne elevated to “The Bold & The Beauful” (the A's), the surprise of finding past players in the opposion sides, the medical emergencies of many supporng cast members (ribs, concussions, sprains and tears)... and let's not forget the long list of cameo performances (Benny Mac, D Perryman, Ben Stratman, Adam Kuhl to name a few) to bring up the numbers and the decision by the network chiefs and producers to bring in some new and upcoming talent like senior colts Alex Lamb, Bradley Neale, Deegan Habner, Kurs Lasle and Archie New. Last episode saw us take on K'doo, who were always going to be a challenge. Execuve producer Adam Lewis connued his mantra in needing the win to keep the teams' rangs (finals) hopes alive or be put into mothballs for another year. With the scene set – soggy oval, the odd shower of rain to keep it slippery, cold and overcast - we had a promising start keeping an even score before

the lack of presence (fitness), dialogue (voice) and gag reel worthy gaffs (training!, the 1% stuff, like handballs & kicking to a player) affected the outcome of the performance. Best Actor award (B.O G.) goes to Brayden Tilley for his outstanding performance in the Back line drama “A Goal Too Many” a searing story of hindering heavy opposion behind enemy lines while Best Supporng Actor was won by Luke Pitson for his part in “Half Back, Half Forward - A Life in the Middle”. Best in a Cameo role went to Benny Mac whose meless play “A Man for All Seasons”, encouraged the younger thespians to greater heights. Nathan “Vercal Limit” Brotherton garnered an award for his portrayal of a young highflyer marking and rucking everything within contest, while Jye “Braveheart” Lile resonated with audiences in his srring performance of meeng an opposion head on and his tenacity on the ball with creave flair. In a breakaway from his usual defensive posion Adam Richards wowed the audience and the producers with a standout “performance in a niche role”, showing plenty of run and style as he moved through to the forward line. Best Score (goals) was awarded to Ma Stark, Jess Feast, and Ben McGregor with one goal each. In another musical interlude “Happy Birthday” to Shaneo! This year our final episode is a game against Hatherleigh and while the “Usual Suspects” will always turn up (to training) the queson remains… will “They Die(d) with their Boots On” and is “Sunday Too Far Away?” … unl the Director calls “Cut! ”.. I'd like to say “thanks for the memories”... that's a wrap people! Go Demons!

A Grade: Port MacDonnell 13.10 def Kalangadoo 6.9. Our match at Kalangadoo was never really in doubt but you should never take a win for granted against a quality opposion and with the ground condions less than ideal (soggy and slippery) it made for an interesng game as both teams scrambled for the ball. We were level at the first break before finding that next gear boong 6.1 in the second quarter and holding K'doo to just one point. Aer the half me break K'doo found a way to slow the flow of our game but our determinaon shone through, and we added another 5.5 to our score despite this. Reliable backman Wade Chant was instrumental in slowing the opposion and won BOG with his relentless tenacity to the ball. Mark Smith and Colby Munro placed 2nd and 3rd best for their efforts through the centre clearances and mely intervenons along the flanks. Captain/Coach Josh Woodall also maintained a steady tally of possessions claiming 4th spot while Lockie Tilley showed he's not afraid to put his body on the line and his persistence paid off with 5thbest. Team stabilizer Kevin Thomson connued to cause havoc throughout the game, boong a handy bag of 5 goals, and rounded out the BP list. Adding to Kevins haul of 5 goals, fellow mulple goalkickers included Colby Munro 3, Rhys Timms 2, Alex Ridding 2 and a single for Jake Schleter. What a season it has been and it's grafying to see that all of our hard work has paid off and we finish as Minor Premiers. We all know the finals are a tricky beast and anything can happen so let's connue with our determinaon and keep the momentum going with a win against Hatherleigh at home. Come on Demons, train hard to play hard and get to that one day in September we all look forward to.

A Grade: Last week was another huge game leading into finals as we look to hold onto 2nd spot. There was a good feeling pre match, with everyone switched on and ready to go. Unfortunately, the Doo were the beer starters, using a slight wind to their advantage. We managed to wrestle back some control around the stoppages in the 2nd term, slowly grinding our way back, but inaccuracy at goal was starng to hurt us. We let ourselves down in the 3rd term as they got a roll on, and we couldn’t halt their momentum. They kicked 5 goals to lead by 33 points at the last break. Aer a good rev up at three qtr me, the boys responded which was pleasing. Keeping them goalless gave us a sniff but our inefficiency at goals cost us the game, kicking 6-16 to fall short by 2 goals. Best players were Brad Wight and Gerard McGrath down back, Hutchy, Mikey and Will Chay through the middle.

B Grade: Well what can I say losing sucks. Bier pill to swallow but our winning run came to an end, the 41-game streak has ended. Going down to a harder and hungrier Kalangadoo side by 10 points. We couldn't get our running game together, along with our skills and we were last to the ball all day. The loss will do us more good than harm. We will hit the track this week, work on a few things to tackle another

big match down at Port Mac. Good teams know how to bounce back, so that's what we will be trying to do. Lachie Lang took out BOG being a rock down back all day. Josh Wight had his work cut out for him all day but played well at CHB. Jack Altschwager gave us plenty of opons up and down the line with his strong marking. Reidy connued his good run of form along with Ethan Bowman.

Senior Colts: Overcast and blustery condions seen a game that was highly congested with lots of pressure. We came away from the game winners by 7 goals. However, we know we can improve the performance we displayed. Thanks to the boys that went over and had a run for Kalangadoo and tried just as hard as they would if they were wearing the blue and gold. Our best players were Ausn Nele who put a clinic on around the ground, Charlie Sims off of half back, Zak Bowering in the middle, while Jack Bellinger and Jimmy Kneen were solid down back. We look forward to our next big test before we enter finals against Pt Mac.

football club notes

With the end of the home and away season on our doorstep and the smell of spring in the air with finals approaching for our senior grades it was off to potenally one of the tougher road trips of the MSE season as we took on Hatherleigh on their home deck in the second to last home and away game.

Under 11: As with each year the Eagle have plenty of U11's but this year the youngest Maggies held there own once again and connued to wow the crowds with their developing skills and we are seeing a few already step up into Junior Colts and slot straight in which is as always excing to see.

senior colts

junior colts

Junior Colts: As has been the case all year the Junior Colts were up against a much larger opponent across every line but we saw a much more compeve young Maggies ouit who across the 4 quarters applied plenty of pressure to the much larger Eagles ouit. The scoreboard unfortunately doesn't reflect the contest over the 4 quarters as Eagles size made scoring a lile easier, but the connuous defensive pressure meant we held them up during the game and Mason managed a goal late to make sure we had a score. The growth and the development of the young Maggies over the year needed to be seen as with only a couple of players heading up at the end of the season and several players to step up from U11's it will be excing to see what the future brings for this group. Best players: Lachy McCann, Nathaniel Cooper, Dante Gibbons-Clark, Mason Meulenmeeters and Joe Box.

Senior Colts: Been a tough year for our Senior Colts in lacking numbers but the boys have connued to show up each week, put on the black and white, gone into bale to represent the club and they needed to commended for it. With a couple of boys back from injury and a few on loan from Penola along with Jed sending a few Eagles over during the game meant we could play 16-a-side and make a real game of it. We jumped the Eagles early in the 1st but this seemed to spark them and by half me had a 45 point lead. The second half was a very even yet tough affair with both sides having plenty of the ball and the Maggies showing that with a side around them they can take it up to any side in the league and this showed as one of their beer games for the year. In the end the weight of numbers meant the eagles managed a comfortable 55-point win but gave Tommy and the group plenty to believe in leading up to the final round. The bones are there for a strong side and with a few addional numbers this group would be capable of anything. Best

B Grade: One of the toughest asks for our Ressies this week coming up against the undefeated Eagles ouit on their home deck with a couple of Maggies unable to suit up or in senior side. Under the watchful eye of Harry, we lined up well across the ground and managed to get a

jump on the Eagles in the 1st and hold a 7point lead at qtr me. The 2nd saw the Maggies sele into the game and apply relentless pressure to a shocked Eagles proving plenty of ball to our forwards while holding them to a single point and kicking away to 4 goal half me lead. You always knew they would throw everything at us in the 2nd half as they lied their intensity and while held us goalless, we held them to only 2 goals to sll have a 12point lead at the final change. Neither side wanted to give an inch in the last with a tough dour quarter and both sides kicking a couple of majors and in the end the maggies broke a 40+ game winning streak with a 10-point win and securing 2nd spot on the ladder at the same me. Best players: Johnny Mules, Mark Phillips, Reevsey, Chrissy and Benny

A Grade: Coming off a tough loss to the Bays, Lynsey was keen to get the boys back to playing the brand of footy they know they can play especially on the wide expanses of the Hatherleigh oval. A solid week on the track saw the lads up and about ready for some retribuon and from the outset cracked in hard winning the contested ball early and pung the Eagles on the back foot. If not for some inaccurate kicking in the 1st we would have had a larger lead than the 14 points shown on the scoreboard. Kicking into the wind in the second the Maggies backline went to work applying plenty of pressure to the Eagles forwards and not allowing any easy shots on goal, allowing only the single through the scks while slong 1 major ourselves to have a ght 12-point lead going into the halime break. The Maggies increased their work rate in the 3rd jumping the Eagles by winning the contested ball around the ground and supplying our forwards plenty of quality ball in scoring posions to kick 5 goals for the quarter while poor kicking from the Eagles with 1.4 for the quarter meant a 33point lead at the final change. You knew with the Eagles going into the last having the wind they were going to throw everything at us, and they did exactly that but plenty of pressure by our backline on the forwards caused inaccurate shots on goal and the Maggies held them off in the last to take the points by 2 goals and look to finish the season off strongly. Best players: Tye McManus, Liam Ha, Mitch Lowe, Jaggs Pra, Tom Schumacher and Sam McManus.

The final round sees the Maggies at home to the Murphies as we look to finish the season off strongly. Make sure you get there early to support our 3 junior grades in the last game of the season in what's been a big year for them, followed by our seniors who looking to tune up as they run into the finals.

Presentaons and club teas will be on so make sure hang around for a drink and feed aer the games to celebrate the season that's been and share in the excitement with finals around the corner for our footballers and netballers.

Last week we had our last home game of the year where we hosted Tantanoola. Thanks to our home game sponsor, Red Rooster. It was a cold and wet day, but we came away with 3 out of 4 wins on the football field which was a much beer turn around from our first round of matches against Tant. We now look towards our last round of the year where head to Kalangadoo and then our finals campaigns. A big thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and players throughout the year. Let's hope we can see some successful sides compete throughout the finals series.

Junior Colts: The junior colts started the day for us in great fashion playing fast paced football and scoring at will. They kept their opposion goalless for the game and managed to kick 14 goals themselves. 9 different goal kickers connue to show their range of depth and they ran out with a 95-point win. One game to go and they have locked up a top 2 finish already. Best players were Tighe Hurley, Kallan Price, Bailey Dale, Sam Haase, Jed Sinkunas and Kade Mulraney

Senior Colts: The senior colts connue to show improvement every week, but this week came up against the top side. They baled through the game and if we could've have kicked straighter the score line would have looked a lot beer. Not many of these boys go up to seniors next year so they will show a massive improvement next season. We ended up losing by 76 points. Best players were Marcus McGrath, Tyler Rothall, Riley Ferguson, Lachy Brierley, Digby Richards-Fennell and Kaleb Price.

B Grade: The Reserves finally got their first win of the season in emphac fashion. Although we sll had a few players unavailable and some more in the A grade, the guys played excellent footy and scored easily our highest score of the year The final score being 102 to 45. This was a great reward for the effort these guys have put in and the work Ben has done to put a team of the park every week. The senior colts who have filled in have also been the main contributors to this win. Ben Curran was the pick of the goal kickers bagging 9 himself, with a special menon to veteran Bevo who snuck forward from the ruck to kick his first goal in over 10 years. Best players were Ben Hentschke, Nick Herring, Ben Weedon, Mitch Lile, Sam Hentschke, Ben Curran and James Kipping.

A Grade: The Seniors reversed the result from our last oung against Tant, this me running away with a 77-point win. Some inaccurate kicking from ourselves in the first half kept the game close, but thankfully we kept the pressure on during the 2nd and 3rd quarters and managed to finish the game very well in the last. It was pleasing to see 10 individual goal kickers on the day to share the load. Best players were Dylan Childs, Tom Edwards, Patrick Mitchell, Alex Hentschke, Zacc Cocks and Sam Giersch.

This week aer the Kalangadoo game we have our final social funcon of the year, Coe-Chella! Make sure you have your best fesval ouit sorted. There is a $10 door entry and a bus returning to the Mount late in the night.

row. To our boys credit they put the pressure on Glencoe in the first half with plenty of scoring opportunies and some really good team footy, and didn't take the foot off all day, which resulted in a really good win. Best players were Cade Kelly who kicked 9 and gave us a lot of scoring opportunies all year. Blake McKee who was everywhere all day and used the ball exceponally well, James Braun who found a lot of the footy, Brydon Klingberg who connues to improve every week and Braydn Hateley who was in and under all day. Well done lads.

Reserves: Last week saw us at Glencoe up against a very hungry reserves side. Neck and neck for three quarters but unfortunately we fell away and they managed to get the W. Best players were Hamish Thompson, Jack Patzel, Nick Cory, Will Wright and Ma Nelson

junior

Under 11: Last week we played Glencoe down at Glencoe, aer some light showers on the way there it cleared up and was looking like a great day for footy. The kids were pumped as they always are, they surprise me more and more every single week, the passage of play they we're playing and the aack on the footy was a great sight. Best players were Jobe Bell, Kallan Shawyer! Everyone played a great game!

Junior Colts: Last week we came up against one of the top sides in Glencoe and with three of our leaders out we had an extremely young side. We asked our guys and girls to not focus on the score and to give their all and aack the football. Our kids improved every quarter and in the last quarter we managed to keep Glencoe to one goal which made us all extremely proud. Best player went to Kobe Bromley who played unreal down back and Jack Rowe who put his body on the line all game which was awesome for a kid sll eligible for under 11s. The whole team was the remaining best and it's so great to see our kids improving every week it has been a privilege to be involved with each and every one of them this year.

Senior Colts: Last weekend seen us head to Glencoe to try and get back into some winning form aer a couple of poor performances in a

A Grade: Last week we played Glencoe at their home ground in some very wet and average condions. The game started even with both teams having strong chances. Unfortunately a few things didn't go our way, which led to the opposion having a handy lead at half me. We kept baling all game our very young side never gave up and tried our hearts out. Unfortunately the wet condions played to Glencoe's strength's and there big bodies around the contest were too good on the day. With a much improved season our last 3 games haven't been up to scratch but we keep learning and improving so let's try finish the year of strong next week. Best players in no order Cade Kelly who is really starng to find his feet in senior footy. Braydn Reilly who played his 250th, a legend of the club and turning into Mr Consistent. Hayden Brown who baled all day, Brayden Hateley who crunches in the packs to guys that are 10 to 20 years older than him and Troy Ha who had plenty of the ball in the 2nd half

Our last home game for the season saw us welcome Nangwarry to the home of the Hawks, with us taking three wins from four. Notes and awards are as follows:

Under 11: We welcomed Nangwarry for our last home game of the season. It was a tough game for the young Hawks, coming up against a very polished and skilful Nangwarry side, but every lile Hawk also enjoyed the swap to play for the opposion, showing great sportsmanship. They worked together as a team to kick a few late goals in the game which kept the team spirit alive. Awards: Rob & Amy Whiy Award – Zayley Vandepeer, Intersport – Coby Brant, Coaches Award – Brody Stephens, Donut King – Nash Brant, Club Award – Jack McKenzie, Harry Nicholas & Toby Telford , President's Award – Harry Collins.

Junior Colts: Awesome win last week by the Junior Colts. It looked great watching the kids working as a team in defence and moving the ball forward. It's also great to see what the kids are learning at training and pung it into pracce and using it on game day. Well done to you all. Awards: Axel Page – Lucas Family Award, Samuel McInnes – Aussie Disposals, Hunter Bingham – SpotOn Fishing, Blake Telford – Janeway Plumbing, Ryan Lucas – Paradise Pizza, and Declan Richardson coming in sixth best.

Senior Colts: Five wins in a row and the boys are stringing together some great teamwork, showing the potenal we all knew was in the team and geng the reward for their efforts. Awards: Jobe Janeway – MT Wheels, Ryan Taylor – Swallow Drive Meats, Luke Allen – Mick Mullan Award, Cohen Janeway –Coaches Award, Jack Ausn –Badenoch's Deli and Samuel Pearce got a special menon for his first game in the Senior Colts and kicking a goal.

Reserves: It took us a long me to get going but to the boy's credit, when it counted, we lied and found a way. Full credit to the Saints, they came with a plan and made us look ordinary early. Our leaders/veterans did what good leaders do and set the tone in the third quarter. This

allowed our younger legs to find a way into the game and put the icing on the cake. Jacob Arthurson was outstanding for the Commercial Hotel Award. Lachie Pulford was a rock down back for the Killara Food Court Voucher. Liam Durcan celebrated his 150th in style for the K&S Fuels Voucher. Riley Maconachie racked up the touches for the Pick Avenue Deli Award while Shaun Beard set the standard, especially in the third, for the Club Tea Award. Menons also to Pumba Farrell, Sean Maddern and John Simkin for their effort and leadership. Onto Tant and a strong finish to the minor rounds.

Seniors: The boys started well but let their guard down in the second quarter. In the third they baled hard, with sixteen on the field, they fought on well and turned it around, to get back in the game. Unfortunately, we couldn't put the score on the board in the last but ran the game out well. Awards: Will Vickery – K & S Fuel Voucher, Ma Cordy – Collins Court Butchers Award, Tyler Richardson – Club Tea Award, Joel Maconachie – Club Tea Award, Ryan Vickery – Killara Food Centre Award and Lennox Lewis –Commercial Hotel Award.

Good luck to all our teams this week, and hopefully a few results go our way which will help some make it through to finals in both netball and football. Richard’s Crash Repairs 08 8725 8820 give them a call.

Sporng clubs would not survive without sponsorship, so we thank you very much.

Under 11: The kids were all keen as beans on Saturday, they are beginning to really work together as a team, and encourage each other on the field. It is good to see them connuing to develop the skills they are being taught and having a crack each week.

Junior Colts: Thank you to Vesa for coaching, and to the Penola boys for joining us this week. Our boys baled hard all day and never gave up. We played some good patches throughout the match and I do believe that when we play our best we can match good sides just need to be able to do it for 4 quarters.

B Grade: Congratulaons to Taz and all the people involved with Nangwarry A Grade, what a fantasc day. Unfortunately for the B Grade it was a must win game but unfortunately we fell short. The score doesn’t reflect on the game, the boys had a red hot go. But kicking 10 points didn’t help. A couple of injuries late in the game didn’t help. So let’s all get out on the track this week and finish with a win against Robe. Best Scoy, Schmi, BJ, Donny, Ben J. Goals Josh Clayfield 2, Ben D 1, Josh Smith 1. Go the Saints.

A Grade: Again we had another good preparaon throughout the week on the track in readiness for our much

ancipated contest with Kongorong at Kongorong. Condions were slippery as misty rain fell on and off throughout the enrety of the game. We started the game well and our intent was clear from the outset. We registered our first goal early before kicking another 3 and ending the first quarter with a 7 point lead. Our second quarter was again played on our terms although we felt due to some poor disposal heading into our forward 50 cost ourselves more chances to score, however, we sll managed to extend our lead to 24 points at the main break. During the third quarter we were fumbly and made fundamental errors in dangerous areas of the ground which allowed Kongorong a purple patch. Despite this we were sll 15 points up at the final change but we knew we had to regain composure and control our decisions and skill execuon. The boys responded and held firm through the last quarter in what is another great learning experience for our young team. And in the end got to claim our second victory of the season running out winners by 18 points in front of a parochial Nangwarry crowd. The win was of most importance for our club. It’s been a decade since the club has won more than one game in a season and our commitment to develop collecvely as a group clearly shows the future of the Nangwarry Football Club is excing. Need to make menon and congratulate Jake McKeon on his influenal return to senior football aer all his hard work and commitment to return aer a serious knee injury last year. Also congratulaons to Tyler Virgo, Josh Mills and Calais Borman on playing in their first win for the Nangwarry Football Club. Goal kickers for the day were Andy Hyland with 6, Joel Virtanen 2 and singles to Noah Virtanen, Tyler Virgo and Jack Pudney. Best players for the day Tyler Virgo, Jack Pudney, Brodie Parsons, Joel Virtanen, Jack Stocker and Thomas Vanderhorst.

This week we look forward to hosng Robe in our last oung for the year and we are looking forward to the challenge. Again we look forward to playing in front of our wonderful supporters.

Coach:

Junior Colts: It was great to see the boys finally enjoying a win and singing the club song with real enthusiasm. Their efforts and commitment over the last month, were finally rewarded. It was a good 4 quarter effort, with every player, playing their role; they were accountable, disciplined and hungry for the footy. This type of performance is the benchmark for this week against Nangwarry. Anything less will not be acceptable. Our main goal scorers were Booda and Vinnie with 3 each. Best players in no parcular order were Conrad, Eli, John, Flynn, Vinnie and Dylan. It is important that we finish the season with a total team effort; have a red hot go boys and leave the oval knowing that you have done your personal best and have done everything possible to create a win. Finally, we wish all the teams in the finals the best

luck.

Senior Colts: Biggest test of the year, win and we make finals, lose and our season is done. The boys rocked up more ready than they have ever been. Discipline and team work is our key to playing our best footy We did just that running away seven goal winners. Best players Max Robertson, Seb Moore, Flynn Peel, Mason McKenny and Cooper Thomas. Incenves went to Seb Moore and Ethan Carter.

B Grade: A must win for the Robe B Grade to have a chance at finishing second and geng the double chance for finals. Needing more percentage we wanted to win by a lot and play our style of footy for the first game in a few weeks. With a lot of players back into the A Grade side we had a few

numbers drop back which helped. Aer a slow start in the first quarter, we found our feet and started to quickly score a few goals. Lachie Henstchke came back through the B Grade and kicked a solid 9 goals. With our 2 origins ruckman out we had Mason Keane come in and do a great job of playing that roll. Dougal Day was the general he always is down back and kept it together down there. Ethan Cornish played well all day with lots of speed and Paddy Mahews was consistent all day around the ground. With another must win against Nangwarry at their home deck. We are looking forward to finals footy and seeing what we can do. Go Roosters.

A Grade: It was pleasing to see that Robe’s A Grade included all but one of its long-term injured players and while none of them had a huge impact on the match they got through the match unscathed and will improve as the team moves forward into the finals. The match was exactly what Robe needed in preparaon for the major round being, hard fought and physical. The team will however need to improve their forward play and kicking for goal if they wish to have an impact on the major round. Robe found it hard to kick goals while Mt Burr could not miss. Best players for the Roosters were Lawrie, Bryant, Brown, Pretlove and J Robertson and while the back six at mes had lile to do, they worked as a ght unit to snuff out any of the forward movement from Mt Burr. Next week Nangwarry and then onto the finals.

NETball club notes

Junior 2: Well done girls on another great effort today. Once again I could see you all trying so hard to come in front & do those things we've been praccing at training. We wanted to bunch up again a bit today - remember to keep moving all the me & trying to find the open space. It's a big court, don't be afraid to use all of it! Lucy had a terrific game - she drove hard all day & gave her usual 110%. She earned the Subway award. Ellie also played a ripper game - picking off numerous intercepts & shoong a goal. She deserved the Bakers Delight award. Only one game to go girlsenjoy the week off & let's finish strong against Hatherleigh.

Junior 1: The girls played a fantasc game, fighng hard against a really good team. Thank you to the Junior 2's Lucy and Milah for filling in, what a great effort. Thank you to our sponsors, Fasta pasta and Bakers Delight awards went to Skyla and Ana.

13 & Under: Kalangadoo 53 defeated Port MacDonnell 34. The girls played wonderful! We knew Kalangadoo were going to be tough and the girls gave their absolute everything. The defensive side got some great intercepts and worked really hard with hands over everything and made Kalangadoo have a couple of held balls! The aack end had confidence in their goals shoong 15 goals within the third quarter, Lily Whan & Lucy Neale worked hard to deliver many amazing passes into our goalies. A big thanks to our aacking end for pushing though hard in the sun with no substute, I'm sure the heavy rain in the last quarter cooled them all down. Awards: Kasey McLean (Boost), Roxy Day (Fasta Pasta).

15 & Under: Kalangadoo 50 defeated Port MacDonnell 14. Well today wasn't our day and that's ok. We need to remember not to drop our heads, we had a lot of geng behind each other and posive talk but our passing let us down a lile bit, but that's an easy fix. Goalies it was great to see you starng to follow all of your shots and defence it's great to see you are listening at training and working things we do at training into the game on Saturday. It will be good to have a break and train hard this week ready and set to go into finals. Awards: Jasmine Morgan (Baker's Delight), Bree Ridding (Subway).

17 & Under: Kalangadoo 26 defeated by Port MacDonnell 63. Our girls had an excellent day on the court this week, everyone stepping up to play an excellent style of netball, working hard to bring our training efforts into our game on a Saturday. Chloe Newton played her 50th game for the club this week and did so in style. She provided some excellent drive into our aack line and fed our goalies well all day, enabling us to grow our lead as the game progressed. Lillie Lamb had another great game this week also, her hard work at training over the last couple of weeks paying off as she ulised an array of preliminary moves to consistently get open in the goal circle. Both girls earned themselves best players this week for their efforts, however it was a strong team

performance that enabled us to finish in front at the final whistle. Awards: Lillie Lamb (Subway), Chloe Newton (Birdie Blue).

B Reserve: Kalangadoo 33 defeated by Port MacDonnell 52. We started off slow to get ourselves into the game. The key for you becoming in front at half me, was you never gave up. That extraordinary effect made you do what you could to push yourself for that extra lead or that extra turnover You all did everything you could to be there for your team mates. Keep moving forward ball side and backing up. Team effort game well-done. Awards received by Fiona Sco & Amber Moulden. Thanks sponsors Victoria Hotel Shipwreck Bistro, Kirralie Jade Makeup & Laser, and F45 Mount Gambier

B Grade: Kalangadoo 42 defeated by Port MacDonnell 47. A strong, solid and persistent game by all team members who hit the court today. It was impressive to see that we had each other's back and worked hard for each other. We maintained our rhythm and intensity throughout the game even when changes occurred. Every combinaon working extremely well together to maintain pressure. Defensively we worked cohesively together to gain turnovers. Working the ball around paently to keep possession and score. We stayed composed, focused and disciplined when it counted. We used the ball wisely, using the angles to find the goalies in great posion under the post. I'm proud of you all, a great team win today. Awards: Jenni Taylor (Shipwreck Bistro, Victoria Hotel Port MacDonnell), Kelly Millard (F45).

A Reserve: Kalangadoo 50 defeated Port MacDonnell 30. A great start and first quarter today girls. We had some good passages of play throughout the game but let silly mistakes and lack of drive and want for the ball let us down. Sophie worked hard all day geng so many touches to the ball but unfortunately no one there to back her up. Kate did fantasc in WD, strong and high hands and so versale swapping into WA, great job Kate. Onwards and upwards girls, let's work hard towards finals. Awards: Sophie Lewis (Periwinkles), Kate Winterfield (Victoria Hotel).

A Grade: Kalangadoo 60 defeated Port MacDonnell 41. Bad luck today girls. It was an unfortunate result aer some great work at the beginning of the game. We need to ensure that we are always looking to chase those loose balls and capitalise on opportunies as they arise. We had some great transion down the court and some good patches of play. Alana played some great defence, working overme to keep her opponents accountable, whilst also providing excellent talk down the court. Kori had a great game in the goal circle, providing good drive in aack and finding space in the goal ring seamlessly. Let's enjoy the week off and finish the season strong. Awards: Alana Berkefeld, sponsored by J O. Berkefeld (Victoria Hotel), Kori Collins, sponsored by Chris Patzel (Chemist King).

Junior 2: Saturday's game was a great high standard game from both teams! The girls gave 100% throughout the whole game, chasing loose balls and backing each other. We learnt how important it is to talk to each other and use our voices through the game. Our three feet and footwork has improved a lot. Our ming, passing and movement was also very impressive. The girls have come so far this year and can't wait to see them finish off with another strong game next weekend! Awards: Luca Bateman (HLC), Indi Haines (HLC), Poppy Bowering (Beggs, Bean & Bar), Addison Lowe (Millicent Toy Kingdom).

Junior 1: We played against some tall compeon today and found it challenging when trying to lead. We need to keep working on those front cuts, rather than running sideways. We had some strong passages of play where we cleared the space for each other and used our vision down the court. We need to keep working on pushing the ball to the space, so players can run onto it. Defensively we created lots of turnovers by playing in front, on our toes and ght on our players. Awards: Leyla Marshall HLC), Violet Fitzgerald (Beggs, Bean & Bar), Kirby Carruthers (Macca's – Mt Gambier).

13 & Under: Hatherleigh (35) def by Kalangadoo (38). Whilst the end result wasn't what we had hoped, I was extremely proud of the way we played today. The high level of intensity, the use of our voice and the high level of paence we used was what we have been working toward all season. We sll need to make strong, leads and come in front of our players whilst also clearing the space when we aren't used. The defensive pressure, footwork and use of our outside arm saw us make many turnovers which we were able to capitalise on. Our self-belief grows with every game; mistakes are inevitable it is how we react, and recover is the key. Awards: Alirah Bowman (HLC), Livvi Faulkner (Beggs, Bean & Bar), Tilly Prouse (Macca's – Mt Gambier).

15 & Under: Hatherleigh (33) def by Kalangadoo (59). We started off very strong against Kalangadoo with it only being a few goals difference at half me. When coming up against beer teams we need to remember to do the lile things like coming front and not forcing the ball. Leni played a great game in whatever posion I put her in, when coming on at GD she did exactly what I wanted her to do and applied lots of pressure. Kalli had a very consistent game aacking strong and shoong well. Awards: Leni Carruthers (HLC), Kalli Nele (Daisy Sun the Label), Hannah Bellinger (Macca's – Mt Gambier).

17 & Under: Hatherleigh (62) def Kalangadoo (32). The girls had a great team game against Kalangadoo. It was great to see the girls have some great passages of play down the court and their ming and leads were good to see! Our defensive end applied pressure on their goalies gaining themselves some good intercepts and rebounds. Our goalies were very accurate throughout the whole game, was good to see their movement in the circle. One more game to go girls and hope to bring it home! Awards: Imogen Nowak (Daisy Sun the Label), Niah Faulkner (HLC), Kyah Carruthers (Macca's – Mt Gambier)

B Reserve: Hatherleigh (63) def Kalangadoo (39).

A bit of a slow start, taking a while to score from our centre pass. We always knew that K'doo would come out firing and that they did! It was an opportunity for us to try a few different combinaons leading into finals. Sarah and Eliza combined well in goals with Eliza shoong 13 straight. Nat was geng her hands to plenty, and Amy provided good drive to the circle. Grace made her eagerly awaited return from injury, but unfortunately did not last long before holding me to make her way back to the bench. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery! Maddie took the court and quickly applied defensive pressure to stop her WA. Fi and Nic had their work cut out in defence with a very strong and accurate K'doo GA. At quarter me we were up by four. Sarah moved into GD for the second and made an immediate impact reading the pay and geng plenty of intercepts. Unfortunately, we didn't capitalise on geng more hands to the ball, feeling the pressure from the K'doo defence, and throwing passes away as we rushed play and tried to force it in. At the main break the message was clear, we needed to play our game, protect the turnover, and have paence feeding into aack –using the circle as needed. Sally came on into C, Nat went into WA and Fi came back on into WD Nat and Sally provided great drive with Sal's fresh legs making a difference. Fi effecvely shut out the WA and Nic and Sarah connued their high work rate to get plenty of turnovers in defence. Eliza and Melita moved and posioned themselves well in the circle where Sal and Nat used great vision and precision passing to help keep the scoreboard cking over. Going into the last we were up with a handy lead, but we knew that K'doo would keep coming at us. It was therefore wonderful to see us connue to play strong and not drop intensity to run out

convincing winners by 24. Huge thanks to Raels for scoring, Sarah for PC and our 'lile eagle' Ella for ming. Let's finish the minor round strong against Port Mac this week! Awards: Eliza Burton (Hollick Estates Player of the Match), Sarah Beare (K&S Fuels), Sally Bateman (HS&RC), Nat Chambers (Somerset Hotel).

B Grade: Hatherleigh (42) def by Kalangadoo (46). It was a compeve start to this final Hatherleigh home game for the season between two evenly matched teams. Playing one of the top sides of the compeon in K'doo, the B grade girls brought their best and played their hearts out. The Hath girls started with a quick few goals, leaving K'doo a lile unseled. Ellie in GA and Hayley GS ensured Hath's advantage by shoong accurately under severe pressure from the K'doo defenders. Supported by a well organised mid court aack in Meg, Jas, and Ella. The second quarter brought a strong start from the K'doo aack with the ball being moved quickly across court and scoring opportunies created for the K'doo goalies. Hatherleigh met the challenge and matched the K'doo aack going goal for goal. Jas, Ella, and Sophie managed to connually create turns allowing Hatherleigh to capitalise on the K'doo centre passes and furthering our lead. Ellie proved again that she is not just a shooter, proving strong in her defensive play and making sure Hatherleigh regained lost ball just before the half me whistle seeing the score in Hatherleigh's favour 28-19. The third quarter brough no changes from our camp, but Hatherleigh was met with a renewed K'doo aack, who kicked up a gear as they realised the game was slipping. Ella played an impressive quarter fending off K'doo ball and intercepng K'doo aacks, creang opportunies for us. A hard fought quarter le Hatherleigh losing advantage and only one goal up at three quarter me. Georgia worked hard and created turnovers for Hatherleigh and Sophie supported ensuring the ball reached our scoring end. Unfortunately, we were unable to capitalise on our opportunies and the game slipped way in the final minutes resulng in a four goal loss. It was an intense game of netball; our girls gave it their all and even through the result was not in our favour the girls performance was impressive against one of the top teams in the compeon. Well done to the B grade girls! Thanks to Sarah for scoring and the lovely girls that sat bench, Demi, Deni, Chloe, and Kyah. Awards: Ellie Cook (Hollick Estate Player of the Match), Meg Gray (Somerset Hotel), Jasmyne Bellinger (K&S Fuels), Georgia Gray (HS&RC).

A Reserve: Hatherleigh (45) def by Kalangadoo (48). Even though we went down by three goals it was an awesome effort. Right from the start we showed intensity, with Abby and Immy in goals, Eliza at WA, Shayla at C, Lucy at WD, Cate at GD and Millie at GK. The first half was prey much goal for goal with Kalangadoo and our shooters Abby and Immy only missing two goals, whilst Eliza and Shayla were having a ght tussle with their opponents in the mid-court but worked hard to get posion to feed goalies., our circle defenders Cate and Millie playing ght and causing turnovers for us. Lucy was on fire with lots of turnovers and great driving down into aack. Half me Sarah came onto GD and Cate to C and Ali to WA and all had an impact straight away. Kalangadoo made changes with Melissa Russell coming into GS, but Millie and Sarah connued to work hard, and our goalies connued to shoot with great accuracy, and it was only a few vital passing errors that cost us the game. Let's bring our A game this weekend against the bay to guarantee us a spot in the finals that we totally deserve. Thank you to Niah and Kalli for sing bench once again. Kate Nowak for ming and my ever-reliable Liv for primary caring and Grace for scoring. Awards: Cate Sullivan (Hollick Estates Player of the Match), Lucy Corman (K&S Fuels), Imogen Nowak (Somerset Hotel), Abby Wight (HS&RC).

A Grade: Hatherleigh (37) def by Kalangadoo (64). You always know it's going to be a tough day at the office when you're up against the top side but unfortunately, we didn't bring our A game today which started in our warm up and we were very much on the back foot right from the start. To the girls credit we dug deep to win the second quarter, but our team unit was lacking today which made the task so much harder. Individually there was no denying our work rate, but it has to be a strong team unit against quality sides like the Doo. Tegan brought lots of intensity no maer her posion, while Dem had to work hard for every posion and ball against a quality defender but was a solid opon all day. Lara made her opponents work for every ball and creang opportunies for team mates. Our final game coming up this week, so let's come out and enjoy it and go back to playing our strong team game and finish on a high! Thanks to Anna, Kalli, and Di for doing off court dues. Awards: Tegan Telfer (Hollick Estates Player of the Match), Tegan Telfer (K&S Fuels), Demi Vanderhorst (Somerset Hotel), Lara MacGregor (HS&RC).

Junior 2: A great effort by an undermanned mini side. Thanks to Charloe and Adele for stepping in to get a team on the court and playing a fantasc game each. Zali and Charli made some amazing runs down the court with fantasc displays of geng in front and calling out. Zali, some of those passes were genius! Hannah put in a big effort all game against some much taller compeon but she always has a smile on her face. Heidi’s movement all over the court was impressive and earned her the Wendy’s award. I’d just love to hear that voice calling out a bit louder Grace tried hard all game, leading around the court, taking home the Subway award.

Junior 1: Firstly, well done to Charloe, Adele and Zali who all played a full game in J2 and then hit the court again for J1. Also Charli for benching and have a couple of quarters on. All 4 girls played hard and put in a mammoth effort. Ashley ran her usual flat out game in C all game and Harper always takes on any posion I give her with a smile and her best effort. Ebony played an absolute blinder of a game, taking many intercepts and rebounds. There was no doubt she earned the Subway award. It was fantasc to see Milla moving with confidence around the court and making some superb shots, earning the Wendy’s award.

13 & Under: What a game! Such a great level of skill from our young players! So excing and nerve wracking for the crowd who I think were more nervous than the players! Malda (Lollipops) shot some beauful goals and Ava had another great game with some accurate feeding and strong defensive work. Molly and Tekani (Wendys award) got heaps of touches and worked overme to help get us the win. Well done to Lexie who was calm and steady at WA and our juniors Ash and Eb who did a great job. Emmity stood tall and got some hard balls and shot well. Well done mini magpies!

15 & Under: A great challenge for us today and it was nice to see us steady the ship and rise to the challenge. Shayden and Lucy (Melzars) combined beaufully in goals today shoong with accuracy

Ava and Chloe fed well and constantly supplied opons for us. Maya (boost juice), Zoe and Molly connually applied pressure and gave the aack line extra opportunies. We are really proud of the way you stepped up and controlled the second half of the game. It’s geng to the pointy end of the season so let’s keep making adjustments and working hard.

17 & Under: Another tough game against a quality side. We had lots of growth this season and have showed how much we have

improved in all our games. Gabby (Boost) and Georgia combined well in aack with great passing and shoong. Molly (kiralee Jade Makeup), Allara and Jenna all worked hard in the mid court, with feeding into our shooters and supported each other down the court. Abby and Ash applied pressure in defence and made the goalies work hard for every possession. We should be very proud of ourselves for how we have played this season. We have 1 more game, let’s keep on going and finish the season strong.

B Reserve: A much beer team effort this week. Once again a brilliant start and many patches of impressive play throughout the game. There was strong communicaon all across the court and everyone backed one another up the whole way. With our full team next week let’s finish the minor rounds strong in preparaon for finals. Best players were Brianna (Globe Hotel), Rosie (Commercial Hotel) and Jodi (RSL).

B Grade: Today was a tough bale, with players away and new combinaons we didn’t start off with our best netball which meant we were playing catch up all game. Everyone fought hard and our defence once again created many turnovers which is why we were able to come away with the win. Great effort girls, thank you so much to Jodi, Brianna, Maya and Maddy for all sing bench and playing. Maya (Globe hotel award) played a phenomenal game and made a huge difference all the way down the court, Demi (Shelton Butchers) with countless turnovers and as always being tenacious in defence. One more game le before finals girls, let’s connue working hard and building each other up

A Reserve: Was a slow start on a windy and wild day at Hatherleigh. We had ample opportunity to come away with a solid lead from the start but lost the ball through mistakes of our own doing. Everyone’s defensive efforts were outstanding with so many turnovers created through full team pressure. Lucky to come away with a win against the relentless Hatherleigh girls. Best players Georgia Genle (Kieralee makeup), Gina Gogel (Globe) and Sophie Wrightson (RSL).

A Grade: Aer a quick dark and refreshing dip we began with a 4/5 starter from the goalies. The masters set the bar high with a roughie followed by the defence stealing Christmas. Jane took charge and up-skilled her junior on the court surface situaon. It all ended with the Masters teaching the young guns a lesson. Eb had a ripper (Gambier City) as did Jane (RSL).

Junior 2: Great game by everyone today!

Paige - you played so well today chasing up all those loose balls and geng straight back up aer falling over. Charloe - you were everywhere today in defence with lots of touches and intercepts. Billy and Bella - great movement in the ring with some great passes from Bella, and some perfect holds from Billy. Ruby J, Ruby O and Indiannagreat work in the mid court and around the circle. Brilliant driving down the court from Ruby J and Ruby O. Encouragement this week went to Indianna C for your efforts around the circle and best this week went to Bella B (LICO Pty Ltd.) for some perfect passes into the circle, great re offering and jumping efforts against a couple of tall opponents. Amazing game by everyone and I can’t believe we play our last game for the season next week!

Junior 1: We tried hard all day with lots of great defensive pressure and touches all over the court but our footwork and passing errors really let us down. We found it hard to transion the ball down the court and worked hard to get a turnover and then let ourselves down with our passing. Everyone can be proud that we tried hard all game and also tried some of the things we have been working on at training. Best player went to Abbie (Metalworx) and encouragement went to Mikayla. Thank you to Ruby & Paige for filling in today for us.

13 & Under: Fantasc game today girls! We had some excellent passages of play even with the changing combinaons. It’s great to see what we are working on at training flowing through into our games. Again, our defensive pressure was outstanding and resulted in numerous touches and turnovers all over the court. First best went to Gracie (Dycer Construcon) who played an excellent game in GD and GK. She had many touches and stuck ght to her player all game. Second best went to Layla for her drive down the court and never give up atude. Third best went to Emmerson who never gave up and pulled the ball in strong. Thanks to Jas for sing bench for us. Let’s train hard and come out firing this week!

15 & Under: Today’s game showed passages of great play, the first quarter we played front posion and there was lots of posive talk on the court. Changes each quarter saw us taking a lile longer to sele. Sienna and Violet as a shoong combinaon rotated well and backed each other up. Midcourt saw Shae and Macca apply pressure over the ball, backing others up with their hunger for the ball. Defence did well to cut off drives and force turnovers while taking intercepts outside the circle unfortunately we are sll learning to jump. First best went to Ruby Buckley (Maloney Plumbing) who found her confidence to eliminate most of her opponent’s contribuon while taking some stellar intercepts. Mackenzie Biggins received second best (Biggins Family) today for her determinaon to shut down her player as an opon. She covered well and read the ball with ease. Great game girls, one more to go.

17 & Under: Fantasc team effort with a brilliant first quarter from everyone. Alyssa made great posion and saw in all her shots with an impressive 21 of our 22 at the break. Our defensive pressure all over the court created turnovers and our drive down the court was controlled with Zoe and Montanna connecng strongly into goals. Several changes by Tantanoola in the second quarter saw a closer result in the book and we regrouped and concentrated on all we have worked on this season. Lilly worked hard for front posion and there were lots of opons in aack. Kayla, Giaan and Jenna connued to put pressure on each centre pass and in the circle. Caitlyn came in at WD in the third quarter and strongly connued our game plan with ght defence, well med leads and accurate passing. The fourth quarter was closely contested with excellent play from both teams all game. Be proud girls you all did a fantasc job to get your win. Best Kayla (Degaris Lawyers), second Alyssa Encouragement Lilly

B Reserve: We knew it was going to be a tougher game against Tantanoola this week. We did well to sck with them right through the first half. There were some great patches of play with smooth movement and transioning down the court, as well as feeding into the circle. Defence took some great intercepts and posioned well for the rebound. Some changes in the third quarter and some redness saw us taking a while to adjust and be in the game while Tant had a bit of a run on. There were some impressive turnovers and hands to the ball, however at mes we could not convert. I’m proud of the way we picked up in the last quarter and finished off the game. Best player went to Jaz (Key2Sale) for her awesome defensive effort and her never give up atude, she took some awesome rebounds and deflected many balls causing turnovers. Second best went to Julia and third to Alarna.

B Grade: 44-37. Another good win in the books, we always knew it was going to be a tough game but we got the win. Wasn't the best day for netball and I think we were all a lile flat out on the court but I was very happy with our ability to work hard to keep the lead all the way to the end of the game especially seeing as the score was extremely close for the first half of the game. We did have a few flat moments in the game but we just need to pick up and keep working on our second efforts to win possession. Best players today went to Hayley (24/7 Car & Dog Wash) for her hard work all over the court and Kayla for a great game in defence and geng lots of touches and rebounding well. Now we look towards our last match of the round and hope to go out strong again before finals start.

A Reserve: Unfortunately, the scoreboard didn't go our way today, but we played very well and we can't be disappointed with all of our efforts. Aer a bit of a slow start, to bring it back to even by quarter me shows the quality of our play once we got going. Our flow through aack and paence feeding into the circle was A+ once again this week. Excellent 4 quarters from Abbie today with 100% in the last quarter. Unfortunately, we only had Laura for a half, but she made a definite impact in that half. Defensive pressure throughout the whole game was great despite very accurate shoong by Tant and tough condions. Our ability to look aer and bring the ball down the court was very effecve with great driving by Jess and Sammy as usual. 1st best - Abbie (B&P Travel and Cruise), 2nd best - Chloe.

A Grade: It was always going to be a tough game against Tant but everyone stepped up and kept their cool to win a hotly contested game. It was a complete team performance with everyone pung their best foot forward when play got tough. A huge thank you to Laura (O’Brien Electrical) for coming in and playing her second game for the day and an intense one at that! You worked seamlessly out the front of Chantelle to open up the space and always be a reliable opon down the court. Chell stepped up again to take a larger workload in the circle and shot accurately in some pressured moments. Alice again came up against a tough opponent but held her own and was paent feeding the ball into the circle. Donna was an opon all the way down the court and put some really good feeds in. The highlight of the game had to be the outstanding defensive pressure. Chloe had a great game; you listened to what I said about mixing up your defence and were rewarded with some intercepts in the second half. Chelsea played her best game for the season geng so much intercept ball on a far taller opponent and together we were able to work much beer. Everyone should be very proud of firstly fighng to get back into the game in the second and third quarter and then keeping our cool to win the game in the dying minutes. Let’s keep thinking about our game and how we can be safer with the ball. Another tough match this week so let’s work hard at training and make the most of our me together. Great performance!

Junior 2: Lile superstars! You all played so well against a team with so much height. There was a lot of space created down the court and especially in the goal circle. So impressed with how much progress you've all made this season! Awards went to Polly and Myla! You both had amazing intercepts and energy!

Junior 1: We have not been able to do much court play this year at training so it was pleasing to see the girls concentrang on this aspect of the game. Combining well with team mates and geng to understand their role in certain posions. Awards to Zahli - Fasta Pasta, Stella - Shanks Engineering, Lidia and Shelbi - Coaches Devine Gis.

13 & Under: Today was a tough game physically. We kept our heads up and played our game. We were consistent with our 3 feet all game and driving it strongly down the court. If there was a turnover in aack we remembered to defend and apply lots of pressure. Award went to Renae who ran out the whole game, applied pressure up and down the court.

15 & Under: Everyone put in 100% today & there was so many good passages of play especially to our goalies. Our defence was ght allowing us to make many turnovers. We sll have a long way to go with most of us sll needing to improve basic ball skills but this would be one of the best team games I have seen you all play. Let's do it again next week. Astyn & Summah received Donut King Awards & Isabel received Fasta Pasta Award.

17 & Under: A slow start by the girls resulted in us playing catch up netball for most of the game. Despite being down the girls dug deep all game and didn't give up at all. Our defensive pressure over the ball all game was great. In aack, once we worked our ming out we managed to create really good passages of play. Ebs had a ripper game in goals and got best player. Bella also had a strong game in goals and got best. Good job girls

B Reserve: Great game to finish off nearly the end of the season with a comfortable win! Thanks heaps to charli for sing bench again your a champ! Awards Leah and Ffion. Well done.

B Grade: The girls had a tough game this week with a few bumps along the way but held their own and went out firing. With a few of

our girls unwell we weren't sure of our line up the day before but managed to get everyone back on board. Last me we played Glencoe we lost and the girls were keen to redeem themselves. It was neck and neck all game but unfortunately in the end the girls just couldn't get across the line. Best players went to Kirsty Johnson with Heaven on a Hanger and Danni Rutkowski with Chelsea Feast makeup.

A Reserve: With chilly weather condions we come out determined and focused to keep the finals dream alive. Great percentage shoong and posional movements from Shelby well supported by Bianca holding strong in the goal circle. They were helped in the aack end by Krystal and Dakota with their paence and hard working movements. An injury me called seen Dakota having to leave the court and numerous changes made. The gers were able to sele quickly and connue playing like nothing changed and kept scoring. Madi who completed every task we asked of her at WD found herself moved into centre and put the foot down. Down the defensive end Michelle found herself back in her favourite posion and immediately had an impact turning over everything she could. Lucy running back at GD created huge drive down the court to bring it out of defence with ease. Leah hing the court early in the game certainly created a different momentum for our defence causing headaches for the Glencoe goalies. A well umpired game from both clubs. What a great team game over the whole court to keep to gers finals alive. Best: Shelby - Chelsea Feast Make up, Madi Kelly - Tant football voucher and Leah Ousey - F45.

A Grade: A ght physical game, of which we didn't quite get over the line. It was pleasing to see us connue to work at closing the gap on the scoreboard even when the margin changed several mes. Tayla (Chelsea Feast Makeup Arst) rebounded strongly and took some mely intercepts. Kate Varcoe (Limo) provided ongoing opons down court. Thanks to Bella, Eb and Shelby for benching and to Tamara, Maryanne, Simone and all that support us each week. Let's finish off the season strongly, working on our ming and general court play

Junior 2: Well played girls, a cracking game all over the court! Everyone gave 100% with the firstyear players all geng numerous defensive touches and plenty of ball in offence. The older girls also deserve a menon, with every player ensuring the younger girls were touching the ball as we transioned down the court. We were leading to the ball today, on most occasions, and this made movement of the ball so much easier. We were using our voices today aswell, which was something that we focussed on at training this week. As a coach, I am really pleased to see the skills slowly developing. One more week to go girls. Keep up the aack on the ball and we will finish the year strongly. Best players today were Lilah (Canteen voucher) for her tenacity and numerous leads towards the ball; and Eadie (Fasta Pasta voucher) for her use of voice, great passing, footwork and defensive picks ups of the loose ball. Well done team!

13 & Under: Bad luck today girls. It was another good, hard fought game. Great defensive pressure by Ashley and Sophie gave us some much needed turnovers. We need to work on meeng our passes and coming in front of our players to give us the advantage in our offensive game. Bring your smiles to Tantanoola and we'll give it a red hot go. Our best players were Ashely Elletson (Zambrero) and Sophie Millich (Badenochs).

15 & Under: Hard luck girls. The wind was not playing the game today. I am so proud of everyone of you. You all adjusted to having a new coach for the game. You all listen and took on board to what we worked on at training and it showed in the game. Don't let the score deflect how well you all played. You all adjusted to your players and came forward and wanted the ball. We did well to get those rebounds and chase any loose balls. I'm beyond proud of every single one of you. Best players were Rahni Janeway (Chemist King), Harmoni Kent (She's Apple's), Imogen Vandepeer ($10).

17 & Under: Great game today girls, it was really great to see that even when playing a not high pressure game that we kept a high intensity for all 4 quarters. We had very lile errors throughout the match and were able to move the ball fast down the court but maintain control to really try and push put that margin. Best players went to Jordy Heraper (Lima and Co) and Evie Sealey (Confessions).

B Reserve: Great game by

everyone against Nangwarry. It was a windy day but you adjusted to the condions and played our own game. It was good to see alot of arms up and defensive pressure all over the court. It was also great to hear a lot of talking on the court and encouragement of each other. Awards today went to Lea for her great hands all day (Bunnings award) and Isobel had a great first half in defence with alot of intercepts earning her the She's Apples award. Thanks to Rhani for filling in for Courtney S who had to swap to A res. Good luck for our last game today against Tantanoola.

B Grade: Oh my. How good did that feel Wrong end of the season perhaps but a sensaonal game today. 50 goals to Jas and Jess today! What a superb effort in every posion on the court! My notes (that I write on my hand) say “GREAT hands” – so many intersecons (Chloe!); “Always an opon” to throw too – right down the court; and “confidence”! Every risk paid off; the throws into the circle were spot on, everyone followed up and defended hard. It was a sensaonal game! Well done to all. Well deserved punch to be had this arvy! Best players (officially) Chloe Weaver and Jas Poel but also… in my eyes – Sarah (at C especially), Milla, Lyl, Macy, Jess, Brielle (and even Mads would have been cheering on)! Well done ladies!

A Reserve: Great game today! Today we didn't have the full squad but sll pulled it together with an exceponal fill in, Courtney Sealey. Today we seen Sarah Gardin take the court again aer an injury. Kaylah Farrell and Sarah Gardin were effortlessly cohesive in the circle. Zara Vonstanke and Courtney Sealey & Eb McLoughlin worked the ball down the court with ease! Final score 56 Kongorong – 30 Nangas! Best players today, Courtney Sealey and Sarah Gardin receiving a San Piero & Commercial voucher.

A Grade: Woohoo! A win under the belt feels good and is well deserved aer the effort, intensity and improvement over the last month. While it wasn't our preest and cleanest game of netball we applied what we have been working towards and got reward. Need to clean up and fine tune before our last game to make it a cracker! Best on goes to Riley for her high work rate and turnover in defence and Evie for running her guts out and pung up the shots. Well done everyone!

Junior 2: This week, the girls were lucky and managed to stay dry. We played a really good game this week, especially down in goals were we scored a total of 6 goals this week. 2 by Lexi and 4 by Madalyn C! The team work down the court was amazing with some prey awesome inteseps from Scarle and Mia. We are so proud of how far the girls have come this season. One game to go, let's keep up the good work Saints!

Junior 1: Good game today girls. Even in different posions we all adjusted well. We just need to work on passing when we are ready and to the space they are running too. We moved the ball around well and waited for the space in the ring with some nice movement by the goalies. Centre area ran hard all day down the court, was some nice driving. Defence got beer and beer as the game went on with some great rebounding and intercepts. Last game today girls let go out on a high and really enjoy it. Best were Asha, Harper and Aubrey. Also thanks to Madalyn for filling in you did a great job.

13 & Under: Awesome game guys! It was great to get a win! Thanks to Asha and Zoe for filling in you guys did great! James and Ruby did really well in defence, geng lots of hands to the ball. Ella and Paige had really good movement down the court and did some great passes into the goalies. Best players went to Darcy and Lucy played both played an excellent game in goals, moving well in the circle together and shot some awesome goals!

15 & Under: Congrats on another win girls. The win and Kongorong made as work for it though. We had some really good passages of play where we brought the ball down from defence into goals really nicely. A few stepping calls and forgeng to back each other up but that's something you can learn

from. Thank you for listening to me as coach today. You are all a really great bunch of girls. Enjoy your last game for the year! Best players Kiara Epiha and Keira Roper

17 & Under: Bad luck again girls. We game up against a very energec kongorong side and it showed that we don't quite have the same fitness level or consistency as them. But we did have some really good moments of play also. It was great so see some of the things I have been asking you all to do actually seem to come natural now Thanks yet again to the 15s girls who filled in for us you were all really great! We have one game le. Let's use this to finish the season on a high and enjoy ourselves, go back to why we play netball in the first place! Best players Eadie Mustart and Emily Timms.

B Reserve: Well done girls I feel today everyone was taking on board what all team were saying and they were trying to improve. Defence, Amy Chloe Maddy and Jessie you were all amazing down there! Every week you girls fight and give it your all thankyou all for pushing every week. Kate, Maxi and Maddy it was hard down in goals today but you all worked well. Kate well done today you just moved so well around there your rebounds and your effort in the circle was amazing. Best players this week Kate and Jessie.

B Grade: Great game today girls, although the score didn't go our way everyone had such great moments of play Giorja, Kate and Ellie played amazing in goals all 3 girls did such a great job the movement and voices you all used was amazing. . The midcourt did such and an amazing job working it into aack. A great effort to all team team! And a big thank you to Chloe and Eadie. Once again our defence did such a great job keeping the pressure on and turning the ball over and working it back into our aack Best players Alisha and Mon. We wish Zoe a speedy recovery!

A Reserve: Not the start we wanted. We rushed a bit with our passing and took us awhile to sele and get used to another new combinaon. We made a change and that seled the aack alot and we were cery compeve last half Defence worked hard all game, geng lots of intercepts and rebounds. Also moved the ball quick out of defence into aack well. Centre area took awhile to sele but started to work well together and passing to goalies got beer and beer. Goalies moved well in aack and last half really combined well together. Definately another beer game than last me. One to go girls keep it up. Best Jess and Bri.

A Grade: Slow start to the game with some passing errors. Took us to the second quarter to get it together. Was a much beer quarter, we were more paent in aack and started to find the space in the ring with some good feeding. Defence worked hard all game taking some amazing intercepts and worked hard to bring it down the court. Unfortunately our last quarter really let us down again. Just passing the ball to the wrong space. Sll beer scoreline than last me. Lets really give it all this week in our last game. Best Kayla and Carly

robe

A Grade: Robe 50 def Mt Burr 41. With a bit of a slow start to the game, it took us a bit to find our feet. We stepped it up a gear and had a great third quarter, stepping up our defensive pressure and had more confidence in one another. Emma worked hard all game, taking chances and geng intercepts and rebounds and came away with the Calcua (Original Skin Clinic). While Lucy also played well, once again driving hard down the court and direcng the aack line and came away with the incenve (Pastry Place).

A Reserve: Robe 83 def Mount Burr 30. Awards: Caledonian Inn/Loaves. The girls played with intensity and composure yesterday, focusing on our goals leading up to finals. The aacking end played with precision, pung in the work in their off ball movements and making plenty of scoring opportunies. The defenders adjusted to the goalies quickly, pung pressure on their aack down the court. The incenve went to Kim (Loaves & Fishes) for working hard in the circle and pung pressure on their feeders into the ring. Calcua went to Kez (Caledonian Inn), she had a ripper game, strong drives down the court and fighng hard in defence! Great team game all round!

B Grade: Robe 54 def Mount Burr 17. Nice game girls. Was good to spread the love today with more opportunity next week as well. So good to see big smiles and great teammanship on the court. Playing front and our game all the way. Pasta night must have worked but I must admit Amy's bikkies hit the spot too. Anne had the stopwatch out again and is one of our greatest fans. Goa love it! Calcua to Amy (Steve's Place) and my incenve to Jade (Union Café) for having a go.

B Reserve: Robe 26 def by Mount Burr 34. Quarter 1 and we came out firing. Aer a lile side line chat about playing our game and keeping calm and collected, that's exactly what we did. Defence was relentless in turn overs and Jess was holding strong in goals. Quarter 2 saw Mt Burr catch up the lead and that was possibly the start of our undoing. Forced play meant Mt Burr was turning over the ball and third quarter it was anyone's game.

Everyone gave it their everything and worked hard but unfortunately it wasn't our day. Although it was a loss, the score difference between today and round 1 shows that we are a team work in progress and I look forward to seeing what the Robe girls can achieve next year. Calcua went to Jess (Caledonian Inn) and Incenve to Kellie (Steve's Place).

17 & Under: Robe 28 def by Mount Burr 62. Awards: Millicent Sportspower / Naracoorte Sportspower. The girls went in knowing it would be a tough game, they kept their heads high even with that thought! The girls struggled with their talk on the court which resulted in everyone driving to the same space, this caused crowding and we

struggled to get the ball down our end. At half me we switched it up which helped make space! Everyone had some great intercepts and some great drive from then on! Best player went to Adelle for a great game in GD (Millicent Sportspower), you will never see a smile on her face during a game but a look of determinaon. Incenve went to Emily (Naracoorte Sportspower) for another great run in C and for the turnover of countless balls!

15 & Under: Robe 34 def by Mount Burr 46. It was a good game today against a solid Mt Burr side. We were evenly matched in the first quarter, moving the ball well down court and into the goal circle. Millie and Milla combined well in the ring, using Kaitley and Tess on the circle to work it in closer to goals. Mt Burr got on top of us in the second and third quarter, but we finished off strong in the last, with some good defensive work from Liv, Mads and Alisha. Tess was strong in WA all game to earn herself best player (Union Café). Millie won the player incenve (Salubrious Hour) for a consistent effort in GA.

13 & Under: Robe 1 def by Mount Burr 40. We were a lile bit slow starng, but the girls worked hard all game. Unfortunately our passes and being able to get those goals in let us down today. We had some fantasc passages of play down court, when we slowed it down and really used every second of our 3 seconds we could get the ball into our goalies. At 3/4 quarter me I chucked bibs up and told the girls to go for gold. Everyone put in 110% in the last quarter and if we had of played like that all game we may have goen a lile higher score. Makenzie worked relessly in GS for the first half and then GK for the last quarter where she did an outstanding job earning her best player (Union Café) for the day. Lacey ran her lile heart out for all 4 quarters with some awesome intercepts meaning she earned the incenve award (Salubrious Hour).

Junior 1: Today saw the return of Issy from holidays giving us a full team of 10 eager girls. Today we seemed to forget some of the things we have been learning, which saw some congeson and meant the flow of the ball was oen not very smooth. It's always hard playing an older, taller team but the girls take it in their stride and try their hardest. Incenve went to Issy (SE Excavaons).

Junior 2: Another great team game. Aer having a week off we took a couple of quarters to remember to keep moving and come in front of their player. There was some great defending all over the court by everyone. We got lots of touches and turnovers and all tried really hard. Halle had a great game at GK –keeping her eyes on the ball and geng a few turnovers and always looking out for her team mates and came away with the incenve (Caledonian Inn).

ROUND 17 A GRADE NETBALL REVIEW

Best players - Glencoe: Laura Childs, Chloe Pfitzner; Tantanoola: Tayla Rowe, Kate Varcoe.

Glencoe and Tantanoola faced off with a top two posion on the line. The Murphies were without goalie Jenna Paproth and relied on the experience of Laura Childs to fill her role. The Murphies took the first centre pass and were immediately met by strong physicality from the Tiger ouit. The pressure caused an early missed shot and rebound opportunity for Tayla Rowe who capitalised and gave Tant an early two goal buffer. From here me in possession was fairly even with both mid courts working hard to get the ball to circle edge and deliver to their respecve goalie combinaons.

Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen were working overme in the Glencoe defensive end to not allow Emma Gould or Keryl Ousey any easy ball under the post – despite the height mismatch. However, the range of shot did not seem to be a problem for Ousey and her long-range accuracy provided a relief from the Murphie defensive pressure. Tant entered quarter me with a 12 to 8 goal lead.

The second quarter was run by the defensive ends and resulted in a low scoring quarter. Owen was wearing Ousey like a glove which allowed Edwards to have a fly at some balls down the court. The aerial ability from Owen and speed of Edwards combined began to mount pressure on the Tant feeders in Jami Walker and Kate Varcoe as any feed that was not pin point was resulng in a turnover

Down the other end the defensive combinaon of Rowe, Kate Bromley and Casey Walker connued to apply body and intense hands over pressure. The Glencoe mid court combinaon of Donna Jaeschke and Alice Tentye had to work paently to find a safe entry to the post. The Murphies were able to peg back their deficit by two goals entering the main break trailing 15 to 17.

Heading into the second half the Tigers swapped Gould back to Goal Shooter and Ousey out to Goal Aack. The Murphies remained unchanged but entered the second half with an intent to turn the score in their favour. The Glencoe side showed their class with each player geng the beer of their opponent. Cocks and Childs worked in unison to find some easier ball under the post. The playmaking ability from Childs and strong front cung began to work its wonders and opened up Cocks at the post, where she was able to take majority of the shoong workload. Tentye and Jaeschke increased their workload and drove with intenon to circles edge where they delivered the ball with precision. In defence, Edwards and Owen connued to dominate and make life hard for the Tant aack end with intercepts aplenty as well as taking majority of the rebounds. The tussle between Chloe Pfitzner and J Walker was intriguing with both players geng the upper hand throughout the game. Pfitzner began to reap the rewards of her early blocking work to gain some important intercept ball in the third. The Tant side were unable to match the Glencoe intensity and entered the final break with a five-goal deficit.

The final quarter was intense from the start, with both teams wanng to secure a top two posion. Gould and Ousey returned to their starng posions and Bromley and Rowe swapped bibs. Bromley worked hard to confuse the space for Cocks and put pressure on the pass from the circle, while Rowe ulised her long arms to aempt to gain some deflecons. Despite drawing some whistle, Rowe stuck to this gameplan and got some crucial turnover ball. Edwards, Owen and Pfitzner connued to apply pressure to the Tant aack line and get some important touches. J Walker stepped up in the final quarter, working early on her prelims to find some more space and feed with an increased paence. With around five minutes to go the Murphies sll held the five-goal lead but a mely missed shot and a few errand passes let Tant back into the game. With the game on the line for both sides the play got scrappy with everyone pung their body on the line. The Glencoe side showed maturity to keep their cool in the loud final minutes and hold on to a one goal lead, winning the game 36 to Tant’s 35.

Hatherleigh 37 lost to Kalangadoo 64

A misty rain and a bierly cold breeze greeted players at Hatherleigh. As expected, both teams started with high physical intensity. Jayde Peacock at Wing Aack for Kalangadoo literally pung her body on the line. Ebony McDiarmid had her eye in early, shoong 11 straight at Goal Shooter for Kalangadoo before missing a shot. Both Lauren Kain and Lara Munro were making it difficult for Erin Watson and Rosie Nele to get the ball into their aack line, geng their hands to the ball and rebounding strongly. Kalangadoo got the break early and were up by 10 at the first.

Hatherleigh made one change with Maddie Redman coming into Goal Keeper. Maddie had an immediate impact combining well with Lara MacGregor at Goal Defence geng intercepts to start pegging back the Kalangadoo lead. The increased defensive pressure from Tegan Telfer, Watson and MacGregor in the mid court appeared to rale Kalangadoo who made some uncharacterisc bad passes which were quickly pounced on by Hatherleigh. Maddie Pulmer and Demi Vanderhorst had plenty of opportunies, being well fed by Nele, but weren’t able to make it count on the scoreboard. At the other end McDiarmid connued to shoot with accuracy with another 8 goals and no misses. Hatherleigh outscored Kalangadoo by 2 but it could have been more if they’d been able to land more shots. At the main beak Kalangadoo were up by 8.

Changes from the Hatherleigh coach saw Nele off, Telfer move into Wing Aack, Elly Redden back on at Goal Defence and MacGregor into Wing Defence. However it was the unchanged Kalangadoo that started the quarter with a bang, quickly adding to, and, extending their lead. Jane Auld at Centre was having a great tussle with Watson and started to get the upper hand. Chloe Peacock also hit her straps at Wing Defence to curb the influence of Telfer. Abbey Duncan was moving well in the circle with McDiarmid to ensure the star shooter got plenty of the ball, despite the efforts of Redden and Redman. A very handy 15 from 18 aempts saw Kalangadoo start to run away with the game with a comfortable 15 goal lead going into the last.

To start the last it was more changes from Hatherleigh with Nele back on at Wing Aack, Telfer moved back into Wing Defence, and MacGregor off; whilst Kalangadoo stuck to their starng 7. The physicality with which both teams started the game with, connued with Pulmer and Vanderhorst feeling it from Kain and Munro however Vanderhorst connued her high work rate down the court and shot with accuracy. Telfer ran hard and stood strong against the workhorse J Peacock, while Watson tried valiantly to stop Auld. Despite the best efforts of Redman and Redden, McDiarmid sll having plenty of opportunies to score and didn’t let her team down, shoong 15 straight to end with a game high 18 for the quarter Kalangadoo running away with the game to win by 27.

Kongorong 46 def Nangwarry 17

This round seen Nangwarry take on the young Hawks at home in cold and windy condions. Kongorong got off the line early scoring the first 3 goals of the game, moving the ball quickly and with accuracy. Nangwarry took a while to sele, with the ball and had limited aempts in the first quarter with Kongorong intense defensive pressure lead by Riley Buckingham in Goal Defence. Claire Ferguson led for the Saints through the middle, tussling with the Hawks Rach Perry, giving her side some speed and carry. Evie Sealey shots 9 from 11 for the quarter to help the Hawks gain a 12-goal lead on Nangwarry at quarter me. Kongorong 14 to Nangwarry 2.

so they swung Cassie Dinnison and Hayley Vanderhorst, with Dinnison back in goals which saw much more movement and speed coming from the Saints aack end. Unfortunately for them Buckingham was well supported by Emily Lightbody and Ebony Lawson and the defensive pressure didn’t back off. Down the other end Kayla Gray and Carly Ploenges for Nangwarry were working overme to try limit the scoring opportunies of the Hawks. They were able to limit the damage to 4 this quarter giving the Hawks a 16-goal lead heading into half me. Kongorong 24 to Nangwarry 8.

The third quarter saw the wind pick up and the Hawks get complacent, producing a much more even contest across the court. Gray and Ploenges were taking advantage of every missed opportunity by the Kongorong goalies, giving their aack line plenty of opportunity. Ferguson took charge in aack, feeding accurately into Dinnison and Tahlia Wilson who converted their highest scoring quarter for the game. Even with the increased ball into the aack line, Kongorong looked dangerous at mes with their pressure, causing mulple held balls for the quarter. The lead heading into the final quarter was 17 with Kongorong 33 to 16.

The final quarter saw Kongorong switch on aer a quiet quarter, with Buckingham and Sealey pushing hard and connecng well to lead their team to outscore the Saints 13 to 1. Ploenges contested well with Gray snapping up any rebound, but any ball sent down the Saints aack end was scooped up by the Hawks defence either through transion or by the strong rebounding of Lightbody. Ferguson and Perry connued in a strong contest throughout the game, both at mes being influenal for their sides. Kongorong were able to run out winners in the wind with the final score Kongorong 46 to Nangwarry 17.

Best players - Kongorong: Riley Buckingham, Evie Sealey; Nangwarry: Kayla Gray, Carly Ploenges.

Robe 50 def Mount Burr 41

Mount Burr came out with a solid start, moving the ball well in their aack line, with goalies Ebony Clark and Lauren Wheeler shoong with confidence, while Robe took the first half to find their feet. Once they seled, Tori Gluyas shot with accuracy, while Robe’s Lucy Perkins was moving and direcng her teammates well. Both teams being on 12 at quarter me.

The second quarter saw both teams remain the same. Mount Burr’s defensive pressure in the ring by Madi Hagge and Olivia Dean made it hard for Robe’s goalies and picked off a few turnovers. With Laura Schultz’ run down the court, they transioned the ball with ease into the goal circle. The last 5 minutes of the quarter Robe stepped up their defensive pressure in the ring and Emma Grant started to rebound and pick off a few passes. With Robe winning the quarter by 2 goals, the score being 24 to 22 at half me.

Both teams made changes at half me, with Mount Burr’s Goal Aack, Wheeler changing with Ashlee Dean. Robe’s Ellen Ramke came on at Wing Defence, while Halle Carter went to Goal Aack and Tori Gluyas took the bench. Robe stepped it up a gear in the third, with beer defensive pressure down the court, they took a few chances and backed each other up. While Demi Carter found her confidence and shot 11 goals for the quarter. Mount Burr struggled in their aack line with the pressure of Grant and Georgia Perkins in the circle. Robe winning the quarter by 7 goals, leading 39 to 30 at three quarter me.

The last quarter once again saw no changes and Mount Burr came out fighng hard for the win, however Robe remained calm and under pressure and made sure they scored their goals. Mount Burr’s Ebony Clark shot with accuracy - shoong 7 from 7 for the quarter. However, this wasn’t enough to get them over the line with Robe coming away winners 50 to 41.

Best players - Robe: Emma Grant, Lucy Perkins; Mount Burr: Madi Hagge, Laura Schultz. The second quarter saw Nangwarry with work to do

Best players - Kalangadoo: Ebony McDiarmid, Jane Auld; Hatherleigh: Tegan Telfer, Demi Vanderhorst.
