Braydn Reilly will today run out for his 250th senior game in the away game against Glencoe.

A lifelong Tiger, 'Reilz' started playing in the Junior Colts in the early 2000s progressing through the grades and in 2006 he was a part of the victorious Senior Colts premiership team. That year he won the TFC and league leading goal kicker, also geng his first taste of A Grade footy under then coach Adam Walden. In 2007 he was again Tant's Senior Colts leading goal kicker and was a part of the A Grade losing grand final team against Glencoe.

His best footy was in front of him and over the next decade he was to play some very consistent footy, many seasons as Captain or Vice Captain, with numerous honors which include:

• 2008 A Grade Most Improved

• 2009/10 A Grade Neil Von Duve Best Team Man

• 2013 A Grade Coaches trophy

• 2014 A Grade Most Consistent

• 2017 A Grade Best Ulity

• 2018 A Grade Most Consistent and John Rogers Anzac Day medal for best on ground against Kongorong

• 2019 A Grade Best Team Man

Reilz is an ultra consistent player, has always taken on the big tasks and oen plays on much bigger opponents but loves the challenge and always puts the team’s interests before his own.

Like a bole of fine wine, he keeps geng beer with age and sll shoulders the ruck work for the most of the game and helps lead our young playing list.

The Tantanoola Football Club wish Braydn all the best in his 250th game and hopes he can reach the magical 300 in the coming years. He will be cheered on by wife Kath and children Bella and Ruby as well as his family and friends.

A Grade: Last week was another important game for us as we head towards finals searching for a top 2 finish. Looking at recent results, Tant were expected to provide strong resistance, luckily for us, this wasn't the case. We had mulple inside 50's, unfortunately we le our goal kicking boots at home, 2.6 was the score at the break. It was clear that we were going to win from here on, with our midfield in complete control. Our back 6 again was rock solid, rebounding every forward advance from Tant. In the last quarter, we really put the foot down, kicking 8 goals, to finally win by 146 points. Once again it was pleasing to have an even spread of goal kickers, with 6 guys kicking mulple goals. Best players were Hutchy with four goals and plenty of strong work in the middle, Max Telfer and Ayden Reid for their roles down back, and Will Chay and Mikey Telford for the four quarters of midfield efforts.

B Grade: Firstly I'd just like to thank the 5 boys who put their hands up to fill in for Tant. We are lucky enough to have great depth in our reserves to be able to do that. The Tigers have been struggling with numbers over the last few weeks, so we gave them 5 blokes to make a game out of it. We started sluggish and quiet finding ourselves down at half me. Aer changing a few magnets around and geng our running game back together we ran over the top of Tant by 27 points. Bre Watson had a magnificent game playing in the middle most of the day. Jason Faulkner kicked our first 4 goals. Young Shanksy is really starng to play some good

senior football maturing week in week out. Je Faulkner used his pace and skill around the ground all day also kicking 2 snags on the way. The skipper played on a half back flack and played a good game. We look forward to geng a full squad back together this week to face a very good Kalangadoo side, will be a great test to see where we are at before we hit finals!

Senior Colts: In a big game for our boys against a very good side, we came away with a huge win! The intensity and pressure the lads applied for 4 quarters was exceponal and now know what they are capable of when everyone plays their role. Tyson Atkinson and Ethan Marshall were sensaonal all day, constantly finding plenty of the ball and using it well. Charlie Sims and Brayden Chambers were great off of half back, defending first and then providing plenty of run forward. While, Jordy Atkinson had a great day as well playing a selfless role for the team. A huge effort by all! Let's keep it going boys!

Junior Colts: Good team win against Tant last week, gave the team a task again with this to kick more goals then points and they got the job done kicking 16.11. Happy with how we moved the ball, the kids are playing some good team footy hoping we can connue this form into finals.

Under 11: In perfect footy condions we played Tantanoola at Tantanoola. It was a great game by both sides with plenty of contested footy Skills were high with a few goals being kicked. Best players Mavea, Jameson, Lenny, Fred, Jonny, and Parker

Over the week off Boxy went to work on creang a huge start to the day with both the U11's and Auskickers playing games at the same me. Well done to Pt Mac in working with Boxy to make this happen and to see the numbers across the oval during both games and the support and cheers from both clubs made it even more special for all the players. This will be a highlight of the year for most of the players and listening to the talk around the game aer would be great if we can see more of this happen around the league in the future. Well done Boxy on geng this off the ground.

Junior Colts: From the outset was always going to be a tough one for the young maggies coming up against the top of the ladder Bays and a much bigger side across the ground but with a full side and a couple of solid weeks training Macca had them up and ready to go. The Bays jumped us quickly in the 1st quarter while we were sll seling into the game registering 6 goals in the 1st. From then on the young maggies found themselves working into the game and baled real hard for the remainder of the 3 quarters to not only slow Pt Mac up but created some good passages of play and worked in well as a team effort.

Senior Colts: With a late out for an already short of numbers senior colts up against a full strength Pt Mac side, full credit to their coach in Steve Lewis and his players in making sure we had a game for the colts. Straight up the ½ dozen colts on loan mixed in with our lads and we were treated to a good quality game of footy with the Maggies geng the beer of the 1st qtr and registering 3 majors to Bay's 2. From there the Bay boys kicked into gear and showed why they are top of the table with some quality footy for the next 3 qtrs, however our lads cracked in hard

and made sure they had to work for every kick around the ground. Best players went to Harry, Nateo, Connor, Joe Box, Brycie and Coop.

A Grade: With a full list to choose from and a chance to sure up a top 2 spot there was a lot to play for this week against the Bay and Lynsey had a clear message for the boys before the game and around the ground there was a feeling the 1st quarter was going to be a real tough bale with neither side wanng to give an inch. And the opening term didn't disappoint with both sides cracking in hard, tackling pressure from both sides and every player taking a bit of me to get used to the slippery condions underfoot. The scores at the end of the 1st were even but could have been slightly in the Maggies favour except for a few crucial fumbles at inopportune mes. The 2nd term saw us with planet of the ball throughout the quarter and tackling pressure remained however Pt Mac defence controlled our F50 and rebounded the ball proving their midfield with plenty of opportunies. Whilst the backline worked hard and cracked in the weight of numbers meant working against the de and saw the bays kick away with 6 goals to our solitary behind for the quarter meaning we were down by 36 points at the main break. With a few key players down and struggling to find the ball and a lile flat, Lynsey swung a few changes at the half in a bid to get the maggies up and running early in the 3rd. It was almost a repeat of the 1st quarter again with neither side wanng to give an inch, but we just lacked a lile composure in the F50 making our forwards having to work that bit harder for every kick however our mids and defence were slowly geng on top of their opponents but sll saw the Bay kick away to a 47 point lead. The final term was probably our best for the game as we managed to control the ball around the stoppages beer allowing beer supply to our forwards and we out scored the Bay slightly in the last, but the damage had been done in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs. With the result 45-88. Best players went to Sam McManus, Mitch Lowe, Liam Hay, Dylan Bromley, Sam Casey and Ethan Maney. Next up we head to Hatherleigh to take on the Eagles as both sides looking for that 2nd spot on the ladder and double chance going into finals.

Aer the game be great to see everyone back at one of our major sponsors in the RSL for presentaons and drink.

Last week we travelled to Nangwarry in what was a very cold weekend with plenty of rain early in the day. Nangwarry's oval has held up well in the wet weather this season and is one of the only to not suffer from muddy patches. Looking at some images from around the grounds in the South East and we could be in for some interesng games come finals me. This week we will host Tantanoola in what will be our final home game of the year. Hopefully, we will have a big crowd during and aer the days play. Our home game sponsor for this week is Red Rooster. Thank you to all our major sponsor who have chipped in throughout the season. A big thanks to our social team, led by Sarah Edwards for organising the Rump & Red Night last Saturday A great formal event held at the RSL saw us dress in our formal are for a change.

Junior Colts: The Junior Colts connued their winning ways blasng a 19.6.120 to 0.0.0 victory. Sing equal top, the young fellas can't do much wrong at the minute and are playing brilliant football. Let's hope they finish the final two rounds off in good form ready for a strong finals campaign. The goals were very spread out with 12 individual goal kickers. Best players were Connor Tweddle, Blake Gosden, Bailey Dale, Jed Sinkunas, Hunter Crowe and Callum Roth.

Senior Colts: The Senior Colts also came away with an excellent win. Nangwarry were a bit short of player numbers, so we helped them out during the match. These lads have had a very busy season with most players either playing A grade, B grade or boundary umpiring aer their own game every single week. They should be commended for their efforts. Ideally a couple

more wins should have been won, but I think coach Mudguts will be happy with 1 more from the next 2 games. Our final score from last week was 118 to 6. Best players were Bailey Rothall, Marcus McGrath, Declan Mutch, Brodie Burdon, Luke Stubberfield and Brodie Sco.

B Grade: The Reserves had a few pull out from Thursday nights side, and this meant more senior colts had to come into the side. The heavy rain came down just as the Reserves match started and stayed for about 2 quarters. We started very poorly giving up 5 goals very quickly before we reacted to the condions. From then on, we didn't catch up, but were at least able to match it with Nangwarry on the scoreboard aer half me. The defence held up very well for most of the game considering how much ball was coming in there. The final score was 93 to 25. Best players were James Kipping, Shannon Megaw, Jayson Finnis, Sam Hentschke, Josh Agars and Ben Weedon.

A Grade: The A Grade got back on the winners list aer a close loss last week. Nangwarry started the game hot and wanted the ball more in the first 5 minutes kicking the first goal. We luckily woke up and responded kicking the next 8 for the quarter. There were patches where we weren't defending the rebound overly well which turned into goals, but we managed to score when required. Tory was the pick of the goal kickers with 11. Best players were Tory Weaver, Brodie Glynn, Will Maloney, Sam Giersch, Zacc Cocks and Patrick Mitchell.

This week we host Tantanoola with hopefully some wins across the board. See you at Glencoe for our last home game.

Wow! What a great show we were treated to last Saturday night with 'Swinging with the Tigers'. Great dancing, plenty of laughs and a fantasc night all round, well done Fannie and Freddie on your win. It was a very close decision that could've gone either way Congratulaons to Ange and Di for your organising and your band of helpers for pung it all together, it is always an amazing night when you 2 are involved. Thank you to Steve Chapple for taking our team photos last game, we really appreciate your support. Tonight we head to another of our valued sponsors at Country Bar and Bistro, head down to see Jules, Tamika and the team for a drink and a feed of delicious pizza on your way home. This year we will be hosng the 2nd semi so rosters will be geng put together soon so please help where needed. Thank you to our social commiee for our events they have put together this season. We would like to make a special menon to our Silver sponsors – Café Melzar, Cool Moose Refrigeraon, Gildera Forestry Services, JKM Maintenance & Labour Hire, Nutrien Ag Soluons, Professional Wind Services, Sapiatzer Excavaons, Dentons Sport Power, Splendid Eggs and Telf's Plumbing. Gold sponsors –Glen Johnson Bowen, Moreland Holdings, The Property Co SA and Globe Hotel. Corporate sponsors –Holla Fresh, Iberdrola and Somerset Hotel.

Junior Colts: Last weekend we came up against Hatherleigh at home, we had a goal of coming out switched on from the first bounce and although the scoreboard didn't show it our improvement is very obvious, we had some great passages of play throughout the game and even managed to hold Hatherleigh to one goal and kicked one of our own in the 2nd quarter which was extremely pleasing. Our best players were Jake Bevan, Kaden Bell, Jackson Grant, Jack Rowe, Harley Chapple and Evan Jazepczyk.

Senior Colts: Last weekend we hosted Hatherleigh aer a very tough loss against Port Mac the week before. To Hatherleigh's credit they came out and played some

really good team footy and moved the ball extremely well, not giving us a chance to link up and play the way we wanted to play. Not having anyone on the bench and having few rotaons took it's toll in the end with Hatherleigh taking home the points. The boys will work hard this week and try and turn things around before finals. Best players were Brydon Klingberg, James Braun, Cade Kelly and Blake McKee

Reserves: Last week saw us against Hatherleigh at home. With very few numbers available for us, I'd made the call to Hatherleigh and within 10 minutes, 5 of their players put their hand up to help out and fill our side. A gesture not soon forgoen and incredibly appreciated. What came next was a neck and neck game, merely points in it for most of the game. Once again fitness proved to be the factor and a very fit and in tune Hatherleigh team ran away with the victory. To show my appreciaon we invited the B graders into the changerooms for refreshments and more so, the 5 players that played for us I have named as our best on ground which they definitely earned. So best players were Ben Lang, Jacob Lang, Jordan Abbo, Cameron Atkinson and Josh Wight. Great spirit of what country footy is all about!

A Grade: Last week we played against a very much improved Hatherleigh side. From the first bounce to the last they were in control of most of the play. We sll had some very good passages of play but unfortunately broke down in our forward line which has been our story all year. We baled all day never giving up but unfortunately just not up to the challenge of a good team that I believe will possibly go all the way. Best in no order Cade Kelly, Darcy Pink, Brandon Pis, Braydn Reilly, Liam English.

A big thank you to all that aended the Kongorong Cup last week. A change in venue, however the same great entertainment, awesome DJ and fun night had by all. Well done to Julie Brown on taking out the win, all that portable electric fence winding up paid dividends!

This week we host Nangwarry, where the netballers will partake in Ladies Day, and the Reserves will have their end of year 'kick-ons'. Get along to the footy/netball and support the players from the sidelines and enjoy country footy

Under 11: The young Hawks travelled to Mount Burr for a cold and wet start to the day. All kids were eager to play football and this showed on the field. The kids enjoyed playing for both Mt Burr and Kongorong and it didn't maer who they were playing for, they connued to play good, hard football. It was pleasing to see some of the younger kids kick their first goal. Awards: IntersportZach Paech, Coaches AwardRyder Telford, Rob & Amy Whiy Award - Toby Telford, President's Award - Coby Brant, Donut KingNathaniel Elletson & Jordan Collins.

Junior Colts: Another successful day, with a good win on the weekend. The kids had to play 14a-side, against a tough Mt Burr ouit. At one stage we gave them one of our top age players, making us work a lile harder for the rewards, and that was great to see. I would like to thank all our volunteers who help out every week, at home and away, it's much appreciated by us all. Awards: Lucas Family Award - Koby Galloway, Aussie Disposals - Jacob Gordon, Spot-on Fishing Tackle –Logan Cordy, Janeway PlumbingAngus Maidment, Paradise PizzaBlake Telford, with Samuel Pearce rounding out the best players.

Senior Colts: A gallant effort by the boys last week, in a game we needed to win if we are to keep a finals appearance an opon. Behind at each quarter me break,

the resilience shown by the team to fight it out to the end is to be commended. Sll a lile inaccaurate in front of goals with a few silly mistakes, but a courageous effort overall. Awards: MT Wheels - Jack Ausn, Swallow Drive Meats - Tyler Richardson, Mick Mullan Award - Will Von Stanke, Coaches Award - Kain Ashby, Badenochs Deli AwardRyan Lucas, Harrison Elletson coming in at 6th best.

Reserves: Good to be back on the winners list and in control of our season. The Burr were fired up and had a lot to play for. But so did we, and aer a ght opening quarter we got on the board and for the most part controlled the game. We look forward to another big challenge this week against the Saints. Rob Hein dominated everywhere for the Commercial Hotel. Riley Maconachie got a heap of it and set the standard with his pressure for the Collins Court Butcher Award. Liam Durcan was outstanding down back, and kept us in it early, when the heat was on for the Killara Food Court Award. Aaron Sheperd connued his impressive form and gave us plenty of run for the Pick Avenue Deli Award and Dan Hann was explosive, as always, for the first Club Tea Award and John Simkin was a key focal point up forward for the second Club Tea Award. A huge congratulaons to Geoff Hay on his 150th game for the Club against the Burr too.

Seniors: A great start to the game, going into the break with a fourteen-point lead. From there Mt Burr hit another gear and we were unable to kerb their aack. Awards: Commercial Hotel - Ethan Norman, Killara Food CentreTyresse Newton, Collins Court Butcher Award - Will Vickery, Club Tea Awards to both Jake Whiy and Adam Properi-Porta. Regroup this week for Nangwarry at home.

Next week aer the Tantanoola game, get your fesval gear on and head back to the Club for 'Kongchella', bound to be a fun night.

First of all we would like to wish Jimmy Manninen a speedy recovery aer an injury during the U11's match on Saturday. It is very important we insl good sportsmanship values in our junior footballers from an early age. Jimmy has a bright football career ahead of him and we hope this injury does not hamper this. Secondly we would like to wish Hoody all the best aer suffering a broken ankle on Saturday, you will be missed!

had a run through the middle. Harvey Virtanen - played every possy and gave us opons every chance we had going forward. Tayte Virtanen - was at his usual best all day covering every inch of the oval and gave the team everything. Big Jack Barry was a tackling machine all day and took a few handy marks also. Josh Manninen - takes the game on really well and provides us with some great run of halack and through the guts.

Well done to all involved in organising the 2023 aucon night, the veg bar was a hit, and it was a successful night with the money raised going to some more improvements around the ground. We also acknowledge Highway Mechanical. Please give them a call on 8725 0044 and we hope our supporters support both of these companies in 2023.

Sporng clubs would not survive without sponsorship, so we thank you very much.

Under 11: Today we took on Glencoe, unfortunately the game was shortened due to one of our players geng injured. It was very disappoinng to see so many name calling, sling tackling and swearing. The injury could have been quite severe and to see such targeng taccs and poor sportsmanship in an under 11's match is not good for the future of football. Onwards and upwards lile saints as we look forward to tackling Kongorong next week.

Junior Colts: Unfortunate circumstances in the under 11s resulted in under 14s playing shortened quarters. Aside from the end score, the boys have had a dip. We didn't quite have the numbers to match with Glencoe on the day, but the boys have had a dip for 4 quarters. All the kids got their hands on the ball today and did their best with it. A few of our best on the day was big Jordan Edwards - toiled hard in the backline and

Senior Colts: The boys started slow Saturday, allowing Glencoe to kick away in the first half. Aer half me, they really pulled them back, working hard defensively and creang chances forward. Unfortunately, we could only score the 2 goals but had lots of chances. They did really well keeping Glencoe to 7 goals in the second half The best players were Archer, Pete, Alex, Tatye, Blade and Jordan.

B Grade: Well aer going through four seasons in one day the boys had a fantasc win, but it came at a cost due to club legend Hoody breaking his ankle. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Also congratulaons to Darren Stewart on playing his 50 game. The boys got off to a flyer kicking 6 goals in the first quarter then the weather came in and made it a struggle to get the ball moving like we did in the first quarter. The boys in the middle were on fire all day. Young Calia had a field day out in the forward pocket kicking 4 goals. The back line held the opposion to 4 goals for the game. Our next game is a must win against the Hawks, if we do we are finals bound. Best Scoy, Smithy, Jake, BJ, Schmi, Calia. Goals Calia 4, Smithy 3, Ben 2, Jake 1, Connor 1, Hoody 1, Josh 1. Go Saints!

A Grade: Despite geng off to a flyer Saturday we did not execute our planned game plan and allowed Glencoe to beat us in most areas of the game to control the play for which we paid the price. We had passages of great footy and connue to commit to improving week in week out. On a posive note well done to our young senior colts who connue to throw everything at the opposion whether it be in the seniors or reserves and to Andy "Cheese" Hyland on his six goal haul. Our top 6 performers on the day were Josh Weedon, Jack Pudney, Jack Stocker, Tyler Virgo, Logan Gibbs and Joel Virtanen. This week we play Kongorong and will be fit and ready for the task. We connue to commit to training well as a group which stands us in good stead to drive a solid four quarter effort of footy on Saturday

Can't leave without thanking the club for pung on a great Aucon Night and a big shout out to all those who purchased items for the benefit of our great club.

Junior Colts: Aer a slow start to the game, the young roosters got motoring aer half me by playing more accountable, creave, and responsible football. As a result, the second half saw us matching Kongorong with scoring opportunies. Although we experienced another defeat, it is not all gloom and doom. In our next contest against the 'Burr Boys', I'm sure with the same focus and concentraon, and effort as in the second half against the Hawks, we will enjoy a beer result. Once again, we can't queson our young guy's effort and persistence. Every player tried their best to play the way they were being instructed. Thumbs up guys! Our goal kicker was; Braxton. Our more consistent players were considered to be: Jaxon, for a huge effort at full back: John, Vinne, Flynn, Elli, and Conrad for being super compeve, and Dylan for being really solid at half back. This week, we need to play 4 quarters at our true potenal, and hopefully this will allow us to sing the club song, as part of our 'aer game' process. All the best!

A Grade Coach: Reece Duncan

B Grade Coach: Rob Francis

Junior Colts: The boys are seeing the season out well with some really admirable performances and this game was no excepon. Reed played a blinder as well as Levi and Finn. The most notable player was young Sonny in just his 3rd game he was flying back into packs and using the ball like a professional. Looking forward for a trip to Robe this week

Senior Colts: Last week the boys threw away a chance at securing a posion in the finals with some very undisciplined football. This week is a must win to have any chance of playing finals and we will have to wait on results as we have the bye last round. The boys have had good year and have played some really good football but at mes have performed below our capabilies.

B Grade: It was an important day for our side as we celebrated 350 games for club legend Mark Teagle. Unfortunately the first quarter saw the Kongorong side play some great footy and kick 4 goals to nothing. To our sides credit we came out in the second quarter and got back into the game, however, we only closed the gap by a goal as we wasted opportunies in the forward line. Unfortunately aer half me the experience of the Kongorong players stood out and they ran away with the game. In the last quarter the magnets were thrown around and it was good to see a number of players, try out different posions. It was possibly DJs final game for the club as he moves away and we thank him for his leadership of our young side throughout the season. Best players were Jacob Gregory, Brock, DJ, Frazer, Telf, Kody and Liam. Well done Max on your debut as a Mt Burr waterboy

A Grade: Last home game for the season and what a game to finish off with. Kongorong came out with a hunger a willingness to work that caught us sleeping in the first quarter before a quick lile wake up call at quarter me that really

kicked the boys into gear. From then on we were able to play some good football, working for each other and overall enjoying the me out there together. Proved once again our best football is up there. Those close games earlier in the year now a reminder that close enough isn’t good enough as wins are what get you into finals. Best players for the day were - 1. Jack Muhovics who has really focused on what I’ve said since day one and used those first, second and third efforts all day to win the ball and move it forward. 2. Swag who ended up kicking 10 for the day in a strong forward performance. One of the best forwards in the league and has been doing it for years. 3. Dyl Ridz who got possession aer possession and found his way through traffic as only he can. Kicked one of the goals of the year from the boundary and performed all day. 4. Taylor Allen who played tough all day and connually throws body, soul and wrist at every contest. Love having him on our team. 5. Knife who danced his way around the backline and helped set us up me and me again. A really important player for us down back. 6. Wil Bowering who offered run and skill all day and the show of support for a teammate shown in the second quarter helped kick us into gear. Congratulaons also to Deklan Brant for making his A Grade debut. Certainly didn’t look out of place and contested well all day, used his kicking skills to our advantage and even kicked a goal. Well done mate.

Thanks to all supporters and volunteers who help make Mt Burr what it is and one of the best places to play. We really did love and enjoy that last home game for the year

Onto Robe this week for our last game of 2023 and my last game as coach. Thanks to everyone once again for all your love and support shown since day one way back in 2020.

kirsty johnson tantanoola netball club

Congratulaons to Kirsty Johnson on her milestone of 150 senior games for the Tantanoola Netball Club last weekend against Hatherleigh.

Kirsty reached her last milestone in July of 2017 where she was a part of the B Reserve team and part of the winning grand final that year. 2018 saw Kirsty join the B Grade side again as a player and she also co-coached the B Reserve side in this year. 2019 was a year off for Kirsty as she welcomed her third daughter Eryn.

Aer a lile convincing Kirsty pulled the red and white dress on again in 2022 as part of the B Grade team and she is in this side again this year

A strong goalie who has been part of our ger clan her whole life, and now watching and supporng her daughters as they sport the red and white ger as well. A passionate ger who's netball brain never fails her or her team.

Sll playing fabulous netball and we are sure we will connue to see Kirsty on the court for many years to come.

HATHERLEIGH vs KALANGADOO

Hatherleigh host Kalangadoo to face off against the undefeated Magpies this weekend. Kalangadoo’s strong goalies Ebony McDiarmid and Abbey Duncan move with ease and shoot with accuracy throughout the circle, meaning that Hatherleigh defenders Maddie Redman and Elly Redden will need to work overme to limit their shoong opportunies. Magpie midcourters Chloe and Jayde Peacock work overme to feed the ball into their goalies, moving well together and feeding with ease. Hatherleigh’s Erin Watson and Lara MacGregor will need to apply pressure around the circle to curb their impact. Hatherleigh goal shooters Demi Vanderhorst and Maddie Pulmer will move well in the circle, despite the defensive efforts of Lara Munro and Lauren Kain, being fed well from outside by Rosie Nele and Tegan Telfer, who will be under pressure from Jane Auld outside the circle. Kalangadoo’s strength throughout the court will prove too much for the Eagles and they will come away with the win.

GLENCOE vs TANTANOOLA

The Tigers head to Glencoe to face off in the match of the round. Glencoe’s young defensive combinaon of Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen will put the pressure on for Tantanoola goalies Emma Gould and Keryl Ousey, forcing errors and snapping up any loose balls. Down the other end of the court Tantanoola’s Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will combine well in the circle, working overme to create intercepts before the ball gets into the hands of Glencoe’s strong goalies Chantelle Cocks and Jenna Paproth, who combine well in the circle, shoong with accuracy. Glencoe Wing Defence Chloe Pfitzner will work hard around the circle edge and make Tantanoola’s Casey Walker earn every pass into the circle, forcing errors and chasing up turnovers. Glencoe are likely to finish the day with the points, but the Tigers will put up a solid fight.

KONGORONG vs NANGWARRY

The Saints head to Kongorong to bale it out with the Hawks, in what has the potenal to be a tough game. Nangwarry’s Hayley Vanderhorst and Cassie Dinnison will fight hard to earn possessions in the goal circle, converng for their side, however they will be under tough pressure from Hawks Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody. Nangwarry’s defensive duo of Kayla Gray and Carly Ploenges will work overme to limit the movement of Kongorong’s Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey. Nangwarry’s Chrystal Lock and Kongorong’s Kate Wright will bale it out on the wing, both fighng to gain possession for the team and work the ball down the court. Both teams will come out firing to get the win, however the Hawks will likely come away with their second win for the season.

ROBE vs MOUNT BURR

The Mozzies head down to Robe this weekend to play off against the Roosters. Mount Burr goalies Ebony Clark and Lauren Wheeler have proven to accurate in the circle meaning that Robe’s defenders Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins will need to limit their opportunies to score. Down the other end of the court Robe’s goalie combinaon of Demi Carter and Tori Gluyas are able to shoot with accuracy around the circle, moving well and being fed from outside by Annie Regnier and Lucy Perkins. Mount Burr youngsters Madi Hagge and Olivia Dean, combine well and use their height to their advantage, and will be hunng to create turnovers in the defensive end for the Mozzies. Laura Schultz and Simone Westerman will apply pressure around the Robe circle, forcing errors and working the ball back down to their goalies. This game will likely finish in Robe’s favour, however both teams will fight for the win.

NETball club notes

Junior 2: In Saturday’s wet and slippery condions our girls fought hard against a strong Tant team. We had some good ball movement down the court. The girls pracced their correct shoong techniques on Thursday and I was pleased to see everyone trying very hard to do what I asked of them to bring it to the game. We fought hard for loose balls and backed each other all over the court which helped us create many turnovers. Awards: Indi Haines (Corner Clip), Emma McGrath (Maccas – Mt Gambier), Emily Freebairn (Gino's Pizza).

Junior 1: We adapted well to the wet, slippery condions – we were paent and worked hard to find the front posion. We used some strong passes down the court and released the ball quickly; we sll need to work on pung that ball in front of where the player is going too. Our shoong technique is geng beer each week and coinciding with that is the accuracy Defensively we connue to be a united front; staying on our toes, having a go at using our outside arm and reading the play well to make turnovers. Thank you to Myla for sing bench this week. Awards: Hazel Hamilton (HLC), Arabella Hassell (Toy Kingdom), Charloe Chambers (Denton's Sportspower).

13 & Under: Hatherleigh (49) def Tantanoola (14). Today we had the opportunity to try a few combinaons and strengthen the areas we may not usually play in all the me. Aer a slow start, it was posive to see everyone adjusng to the changes and sll pung the things we have been praccing into our game play. The ball flowed well down the court, we worked hard to find the front posion, but need to remember to clear and then reoffer. Defensively we played a hard-fought game, chasing down the loose balls and creang numerous turnovers which we were able to capitalise on. Awards: Luca Hamilton (Java Café), Chloe David (HLC), Paige Walters (Corner Clip).

15 & Under: Hatherleigh (79) def Tantanoola (6). Another great game today by all the girls. Everyone played well in the cold and wet condions and adjusted yet again to all the different changes made. Defensive pressure was great all the way down the court. We need to always make sure we go for the second efforts though even if it isn't a close game. Well done to Liv Beggs for geng her hands to so many balls and taking many intercepts. A great game by Poppy who got a run out at GD and also to Hannah who ran out at C like she has all year Great game girls let's get pumped for next weekend. Awards: Olivia Beggs (Denton's Sportspower), Hannah Bellinger (HLC), Poppy Fitzgerald (Java Café).

17 & Under: Hatherleigh (26) def by Tantanoola (44). Another tough week for our girls this week. Throughout our first half, we were compeve and matched up well against a strong Tant side. However, we unfortunately couldn't keep up against their strength and accurate passing and eventually fell short. All in all, there were some lovely passages of play, showing what we could achieve if we put a full game out there. Well done to our defenders who collecvely made mulple turnovers, strong leads and reoffers down court. Congratulaons to Niah and Imogen who played in A Reserve today, showing your abilies against some quality players. Also thank you again to Poppy, Hannah, Chloe and Kalli for sing bench once again, I think it’s safe to say you all have been virtual members of our side this year. Let's go out and finish off the season well and put in for the last two games.

Awards: Kyah Carruthers (All-Seasons-ofBeauty), Ayrlie Chambers (Daisy Sun the Label), Hannah Bellinger (HLC).

B Reserve: Hatherleigh (57) def Tantanoola (31).

A strong start to the game was just what we needed. Being up 16-5 at quarter me. Sarah, Maddie and Nic combined well causing plenty of turn overs and great intercepts during the first half. Fiona came on at half me and did her thing and did it well. The drives from Nat, Sal, and Amy on to the circle improved out of sight as the game went on. Again, Melita and Eliza combined well with their strength in the circle, their support for each other and extremely accurate shoong from Melita. Well done girls lets keep combining and working well together as a team. Keep the talk up, keep liing each other and keep comming for the benefit of the team. Thanks again to those special people that support us each week with scoring, mekeeping, and primary care. Awards: Eliza Burton (All-Season-of-Beauty), Sarah Beare (Somerset Hotel), Maddie Copping (Gino's Pizza).

B Grade: Hatherleigh (35) def Tantanoola (31). A chilly aernoon at Tantanoola had our girls start off slightly unseled and took some me finding their groove. Tant’s defence had a strong and

inmidang presence on our goalies Hayley and Ellie, but their persistence paid off with being four up at the end of the first. The pressure really was on in the second quarter with Tant on our heels. Some fantasc turnovers by Georgia and Sophie in their goals gave us plenty of opportunity to score, but Tants defence and quick intercepts had us chasing our tails. Sll up at the end of the second but the gap was geng smaller. Everyone sll in their same posions coming into the third, but Tant really were building momentum with accurate scoring and relentless defence in all areas of the court. Fantasc efforts in the mid-court with Jasmyne and Ella giving their opposion a run for their money geng the ball down for Meg to feed into our goal circle. Defensive play by Hayley caused her to take a tumble toward the end of the quarter and seen a few quick changes with Georgia taking goals and Deni moving into the wing in her first game of B grade, well done Deni. With only two goals difference in the game, the last quarter was tough, and the pressure was on. Stellar efforts by Jasmyne and Sophie with several successful turnovers and some great work in the goals by Georgia playing more of a defensive role and some star goals by Ellie seen us pull away to get the lead we so desperately needed. We kept our cool and remained focused right to the final whistle on what was a very tough game but happy with the final outcome of 35-31. Special menon to our juniors Deni Brown, Chloe Bellinger, and Hannah Bellinger for stepping up at the pointy end of the season into a challenging environment.

Awards: Sophie Gibbs (All-Seasons-of-Beauty), Jasmyne Bellinger (Gino's Pizza), Georgia Gray (Somerset Hotel).

A Reserve: Hatherleigh (34) def by Tantanoola (42). Considering the amount of players we have out, half me we were sll even and it was only the third quarter let us down. It was great to see us fight back in the last quarter. We worked hard at training to change a few things in the midcourt and into our goalies and we implemented it very well today. With our main goalie Abby out, both of our 17's Imogen and Niah played in goals together. They missed a few early goals with nerves but then seled and both played a strong game. Cate played a beauty, once again showing her great versality playing at WA and then GD in the last, with great controlled passing and re-offering in WA, ght defensive pressure and lead the court with great voice to the young ones. Shayla ran the enre game at C using her speed down the court to feed our goalies. At WD Lucy applied great pressure and provided us great quickness coming out of defence into our aack. Tant goalies were strong and very accurate but Millie and Sarah worked hard to turn the ball over. Due to the limited opportunies to rebound and on occasions when we did, but we threw a few away. With coming from even at half me to being down by 7 at ¾ me, we swung some changes with Eliza going into GA, Kalli from the 15's for her first A Res game at WA, Cate to GD. Both Eliza and Kalli coming on to play against tough opponents, they showed great confidence and strong quarters by both. A prey pleasing effort considering we had so many missing and two 17's and a 15U taking the court, we showed that we weren't going to lay down for Tant. We are sll in the fight and in the four and yay we welcome back Ali this week and hopefully Abby Awards: Cate Sullivan (Somerset Hotel), Sarah Broadhead (Gino's Pizza).

A Grade: Hatherleigh (49) def by Tantanoola (53). We always knew it was going to be a tough day out against the tall Tant side, but the girls came out firing with our game plan and structures working well to be up by four at quarter me. We unfortunately didn't adjust very well to Tants change of defence in the third which allowed them to take over the lead. We fought hard in the last to win the quarter and go down by four which we are obviously disappointed by, but we played some great netball. Mads Pulmer and Dem connued to find each other nicely with Rosie who had a great tussle all day and used great communicaon. Erin worked hard with good communicaon in both aack and defence. Larz was also having a great tussle dictang well and picking off anything high through the mid-court. Elly worked her bu off making her opponent work for every ball and Mads Redman played a great last line of defence game and really stepped up to hunt the intercept. Tegs came on at half me and played a great steadying game geng some great turns in the last. Let's come out and finish strong for our last two games. Thanks to Im for sing bench and Maree for scoring. Awards: Elly Redden (All Seasons of Beauty), Rosie Nele (Somerset Hotel), Team (Gino's Pizza).

B Reserve: Great to get a win this week girls, well done! It was a great team effort. We were posive and encouraging throughout the game and were able to show everyone's versality with some change ups at half me. Everyone was able to have a go at making an impact. Despite the weather and a slippery ball, there was some great movement down the court and feeding into the circle. The goalies put up some great goals, even sinking a few long bombs. There were a few rough patches of play with some passes going astray, but we made it work and came away with a good win. Best players were Ryleigh (Key2Sale) and Jas.

B Grade: 75-17. A fantasc game and a whole team effort today saw us get a good win. Our first quarter saw yet another new goalie combinaon, and the girls worked hard to secure a strong start and took a comfortable lead. Lauren came back aer a snt on the sidelines and Alyce fed well into the circle and shot just as well once she got her eye in from the very beginning of the second quarter. Our mid court stars in Hayley and April worked hard all game as always working the ball down and providing great direcon and voice. Then, our defence trio also worked hard all game geng hands to plenty of the ball and creang more

scoring opportunies for us. Bri stepped into goals at the half me break and was firing from the get go. We now look towards our next two tough games and focusing on pung in a full 4 quarter effort. Best – Lauren (24/7 Car and Dog Wash), Alyce.

A Reserve: Great game today girls despite the weather and everyone feeling a bit flat. Was good to have a bit of an open, free flowing game to work our movement and passing. Few patches of undiness, but we worked hard to get it back when we had errors. Another nice rotaon game in the circle from Abbie and Laura - great chance to work on our swings and working off of one another. Great feeding in and direcon from Jess and Chloe on the outside. Great job in defence Sammy and Tameka. Awesome to see you adapt your game aer feedback at quarter me and it really showed in the number of turnovers you got from then on. Thanks so much to Giaan and Caitlyn for playing a half each. You both did a fantasc job and applied lots of pressure and had beauful drives down the court. We hope you enjoyed it! 1st best - Jessie (B&P Travel and Cruise), 2nd best - Laura.

A Grade: We started the game a lile lack lustre and didn't come out with our normal defensive pressure. It was good to see everyone turn this around and us get plenty of hands to ball through the middle and in the circle. Chelsea (O'Brien Electrical) took some good aerial balls and Jenna had some beauful front cut entries. Special menon to Alice for stepping out of her comfort zone and connuing to try new things. Prey much finals me from here on. Let's work hard and be ready.

Tiger Cubs: This weekend, the ger cubs took on the lile eagles at our home ground. All girls were excited to verse friends from another club which was seen across the court. The cubs connue to grow every week and enjoy being able to have a run around on Saturdays. Big thanks to Demi and the lile eagles for geng a team together for our girls to verse and great job to our ger cubs for a great game.

Junior 2: A fantasc effort girls against the Eagles this weekend! It's amazing to see the improvement from everyone of you from the start of the season to now. Everyone is becoming more confident in their voices and leading to the ball to transioning the ball down the court. Shelby received Donut King voucher for her repeve effort to work hard for the ball and Georgina was awarded the Maccas voucher for her strong voice down the court and leads.

Junior 1: It's difficult playing with different team mates each week but you did a great job, especially with the passes in front to leading players – resulng in some combinaons working well. Nyree and Stella Peters showed the way with numerous intercepts and we loved the shoulder passes used. Awards: Chira (Donut King), Coaches awards (Devine Gis) to Pippa and Zahli who is going in confidence every game.

13 & Under: A tough game against a tall and fast Hatherleigh team. The girls all gave 100%, but we sll need to work on cung front & not passing the ball over. Great effort with geng hands over ball and 3 feet. We changed it up at half me & they played in posions out of their comfort zone which was fun to watch. Awards went to Emie for many intercepts & 100% effort at GD, even shoong a few goals when changing to GA. The second award went to Jaycie who is an absolute work horse every week & applies pressure pressure pressure. Well done girls!

15 & Under: Another tough week against a strong & more experienced team Hatherleigh. Every week you all just keep trying & turning up for your game & play ll the end. You are all here playing this sport for different reason, it might be friendships, to improve your skills, be a part of a club or to keep fit. It's not all about winning. Today we just let the lile things slip but let's keep working hard on them for the last 2 weeks le.

17 & Under: It took us the first quarter to find our rhythm but aer that the girls took off. With slippery condions making it hard to keep our game plan dy it was good to see the girls stay focused and be adaptable. Our defensive pressure

is growing all week along with our aacking play and each one of you is playing your role no maer where you play. Awards were really tricky to choose this week as I thought everyone played hard. However this week Ebs played a great consistent game with so much drive who took home the Dentons Sportspower award and Charli who took home the KFC award who played a ripper game all over the court. Great win girls, on to the next one

B Reserve: We had good passages of plays and some where we were geng stuck, we didn't make it easy for them which is what I wanted! Thanks for Poppy and Charli for sing bench and playing half games you fied in really well! Awards Poppy and Charli Tant vouchers.

B Grade: The girls came out on Saturday ready to go and we're keen to beat Hatherleigh again. We had two team mates out unfortunately and so we knew it was going to be a tough game. We thankfully had the help of Hijisa Hale coming back aer a serious injury last year and Riley Sims who stepped up from B-res. It took a while for the girls to find their groove with new players which led to us being down. We came very close to winning in the last quarter but unfortunately we sll went down. Best players were Hijisa Hale with Lima and Co and Ella Clarke with McCourts garden voucher

A Reserve: What a great game of netball. It defiantly showed we are worthy of a finals posion. The first half was very messy with lots of turnovers from both teams. We created plenty of turnovers giving us plenty of opportunies to move ahead but failing to score. Great defensive pressure all over the court allowed us more scoring opportunies. The second half we put the foot down and started creang loose balls and scoring of them. A great finish to keep the finals dream alive. Best: Bianca Taylor - Chelsea Feast Makeup and Shelby Ryan - Heaven on a Hanger

A Grade: Aer a slow first quarter, we lied our defensive pressure. Tayla rebounded strongly and along with Casey provided some lovely drives through the mid court. Emma and Keryl (Chelsea Feast Makeup) are combining well with some great opons and rebounded strongly. Great passing and prelim moments from Jami (Lima & Co). Kate and Kate connue to provide steading presence on court. We are starng to show more control and paence when needed, which is pleasing. We need to apply consistency over the four quarters in the coming weeks and connue with our improvement.

NETball club notes

Junior 2: A great effort today by the J2 girls. We worked hard in the goal circle today, up both ends, feeding well to the goalies in aack and then turning the ball over numerous mes in defence. We transioned well when an intercept was made. Key skills that we need to pracce, which let us down at mes today, were ming our leads and leading in front of our players. If we can sharpen these skills, we will be big improvers in season 2024. Idenfying the right types of passes to use during the game is also something we need to focus on. Keep pung in 100% though girls as the improvement will come. Best players today were Macca, for her defensive efforts. She 'hunted the ball' and managed to score some mely intercepts when we needed it. Leni also played really well and gave it her all when she was posioned in centre. She ran her heart out and also got some excellent intercepts in the defensive half in the last quarter Well done team!

13 & Under: Hard game today girls, but sll very proud of you all for keeping your heads up. Some great, great, great work by Paige in the mid court, watching and picking up those loose balls. Abby did great in goals, while playing her own game and helping other players while they were trying new posions. Great work in defence by Meeka, Ashleigh and Sophie. Zayley tried hard all day and tried everything we had worked on. Have to menon a Super goal by Lily just a pity it didn't count. Award winners today Paige Telford (Fasta Pasta), Zayley Vandepeer (Zambreros).

15 & Under: Bad luck today, couple of different posions in the first quarter made us think. Excellent defence, really wanted to have a defensive game today and we managed to put a lot of pressure in the circle. Mid court was a bit crowded but managed to get it down to our shooters most of the game. Best players today go to Demi Jennings (Badenochs) and Lily Foster (Zambreros) for there solid aack and drive for the ball.

17 & Under: It was a tough game today girls, condions didn't play in our favour and it showed as we just didn't adjust as quickly as the other team. We know they'd be our toughest compeon and they certainly showed it but we had some great passages of play that shows how we can get the ball into our aack with ease when we just play controlled netball. Best players went to Becky Duivenvoorde and Paige Hicks for consistently fighng for the ball the whole match and always making it difficult for them

to get a pass or intercept.

B Reserve: Tough game against Mt Burr. The pressure was on from both teams all game. Lots of body on body contact making it very stop start down the court. The courts were also wet and slippery with lots of players hing the deck. We had some great passages of play and some great mid ring goals. Rebounding by our shooters was good to see with us being able to convert most into a goal. Defensive pressure from Tamika & Amie was good as was Courtney H when she went in at half me. Marnee & Julie played well in the centre court and were able to put up some nice passes to our goalies. Amber played a good game in GS and went all out in WD geng her hands on a few intercepts. Courtney S & Tamika worked well together in the goal ring and had some great passing between them. We only went down by 9, so an improvement on last me we played them. Well done. Awards: Amie (The Spot for Surf) and Tamika (F45).

B Grade: That one hurt. Bad luck today girls. It seemed a lile lack lustre today and I'm not sure if it was something in the air or the fact we were missing Sarah and Chloe? Nevertheless, the girls started great and the ball was moving beaufully down the court. We held the lead for the first half but got caught in the final quarter. Not to worry girls – nothing beats the heart of the Hawks B Grade ladies in my books! Best players Jas Poel (Arena) and Lyl Page (Zambreros). Enjoy the Kongorong Cup!

A Reserve: A great win today! We started with a goal for goal game and eventually took off in the third quarter. Today seen great cohesion all down the court. Ebony McLoughlin had a great game feeding all down the court and many turn overs. Georgia Bald applied the most pressure in defence geng many turn overs and touches. Both girls received best players with vouchers from our sponsors from Lima & Co and The Commercial Hotel.

A Grade: Great effort today girls. I thought we worked well across four quarters with fague sneaking in just at the end. Everyone applied what we had worked hard on at training and adapted to the game. Aack worked hard at looking aer the ball and produced lots of scoring opportunies while defence once again was the highlight of the game across the court with the girls in the circle working relessly. Best on today went to Kate (Birdie Blue) and Rach (Kirralee) for playing a steady and controlled game.

It was great to finally mix the girls up and get them in some different posions. They all play amazing once again. Ariella scored the 2 goals for the game. Best players were Kenzie and Maddie T

Junior 1: A great game today girls we really are geng beer every week, Maddie Thomson slong in well with you all, thanks Maddie for helping out again. I'm our normal posions everyone played well. Moved well and passes for the first me were so much beer. We actually lobbed over and into the space and to where they were going was awesome to watch. You all were talking more to each other as well. There was so many great things from defence to aack. You girls connue to amaze me with how much you keep improving. Canteen award went to Leah

13 & Under: A slow start to our game against Glencoe but they aer the first break they went out and played some good netball. Ruby and James worked hard in defence, geng their hands to lots of balls and geng lots of rebounds. Darcy and Lucy moved well in the circle and got some impressive goals. Ella, Paige and Immy had some great passages of play down the mid court. Best players were Darcy and James with Darcy geng the award.

15 & Under: Well done girls you played some great netball. We outscored Glencoe in two quarters, was even for one but we just didn't have a great third quarter. Third quarter performance was hampered by many opposion spectator's direcng plays

and coaching from sidelines along with decisions that was beyond our control. Proud that you all didn't drop heads and connued to play trying to adjust your game accordingly. Madison earnt the Canteen award for shoong 21 of our 34 goals and holding brilliantly in circle. Two games to go, let's connue to play as a team and try and get a win against Kongorong.

17 & Under: We had such a beer first half girls, than we have had for a very long me so you should be proud of yourselves. Now to just find it in us to do it the whole game and we can see even beer results. Defence played hard all game with Tanisha showing she has taken on board some of my p which saw a lot more pressure over the ball. Maddi Mitchell had some amazing fight in her today with chasing up many loose balls and take a lot of strong catches. All in all even the score blew out, I think you all had a great game. Best players Tanisha McNair and Maddison Mitchell.

B Reserve: A very strong game from everyone! There were lots of great passages all throughout with everyone really pung everything into it today, we knew going in we wouldn't walk out with a win but we held our own and we really turned the pressure on. Kate and Maxi you both worked well in goals today it's always so hard having all the pressure on you both but you worked well and did a great job. A massive well done to Maddy, Chloe and Jessie working the defence you all played so well. Maddy best player today and very well deserved best game you've played.

B Grade: A tough game girls, we were all really flat which had a real impact on the game. We need to remember to lead to the ball and not run from it. This week we play Kongorong and it was a very close game last me so I Would like to see everyone keen as beans with a lile more energy this week. I honestly believe you all have it in you to really push this game down to the wire. Best players were Ellie and Krissy for their great defensive pressure.

A Reserve: Wasn't an easy game with a couple out and fill ins we sll did really well. Had lots of good plays all the way down the court. Defence worked overme and rebounded strongly on the minimal misses there was and drove nicely out of defence. Aack worked overme and kept passing round ll opportunies came. Goalers kept posioning and started to work well together. Thanks to Kiara and Kate for filling in much appreciated. Best Lyndall and Meighan.

A Grade: Tough game today girls but again we had a lot of improvement from last me and score was much beer. Every week we do improve it may not seem like it but we are. Aack started slow in first but really got moving by last half of the quarter. Defence got beer as game went with their limited rebounds and some good intercepts. Coming down court was tough but we managed to move ball around ll we found the space to go through. Keep going girls we are almost there and be proud we have improved every week. Best Chrystal and Bri.

Hour/Naracoorte Sportspower. The girls had a cracker of a game, being short again this week everyone had to adjust to new posions. They slowed down the game but sll struggled with geng in front of their opposion player. Adele and Olivia had a great game in defence considering it with Olivia's second game of the day, so many intercepts by both, this earnt Olivia best player Sienna and Kiana had a tough game in goals with the defence having quite a bit of height to them. 13 & Under: Kongorong 32 Robe 15.

Awards: Union Café/Salubrious Hour. The girls started out strong keeping the score close for the first half, we dropped our heads a lile in the third quarter which meant Kongorong put a few too many on the board, this unfortunately le us not being able to catch up. The aacking end working strong all game, Poppy had a turn in WA and she really gave it her all taking away best player for the day. Livia and Makenzie are really starng to move well in the circle, Livia relessly working which earned her Incenve for the day

Wow our last home game all over for 2023. Thank you to everyone that has volunteered their me on Saturday's throughout the year, especially on our home games when there are so many extra dues to complete. Our players, supporters, club members, volunteers and our very valued sponsors help to make our club an amazing one to be involved in and apart of. With one home and away game to go, we travel down to Robe. Junior 2: What a game! You girls have shown so much improvements within this season and it's fantasc to see! You all should be so proud. We had great defensive pressure all game, which led to passing and moving down the court to get the end result of a goal. The Fasta Pasta award went to Holly who showed great improvements with her passing and focused on her movements with coming in front of her player. The Zambreros award went to Alaska who always uses a loud voice when calling for the ball and had a lot of confidence when shoong goals. The Donut King award went to Evie who had a great quarter in centre, showed confidence with her moving and has really worked on using her voice. We have one more game this season girls, let's go out and have some fun!

Junior 1: Well done girls, you all showed great persistence today. Our defence all over the court was good and we moved the ball well in the second half. Awards went to Mia (Fasta Pasta) for her defensive efforts all game and Eva (Donut King) for her great reoffering and movement to create space. Thanks to Zoe for umpiring and Sarah for scoring.

13 & Under: Well done girls, good team game. We played some great netball in wet condions. We sll need have paence bring the ball down the court and make sure we are looking down the court to give the ball. We had lots of changes and some of the girls played in different posions, but everyone adapted well, and played and support each other with great communicaon all over the court. Lets come out firing against Robe today. Thanks again for Poppy filling in. Thanks to Shannon for scoring, Stacey for ming and Simone for umpiring. Awards went to Hannah – Dentons Sportpower, Hope – Subway, Jessica – Donut King and Poppy – Zambrero.

15 & Under: Well done girls. Today was a game that we were able to strengthen our weaker aspects of our game. We just need to work on our talking and communicaon. The start of our game seen us a bit rocky but as the quarters progressed we got stronger and a lot more confident. Best players went to Kaylah (Boost) for having confidence, posioning well on the circle and feeding our goalies accurately. Stella (Subway) for her 4 persistent quarters and talking to her teammates. Lexi (Donut King) for strong leads, cung in front and a strong defensive quarter in GD Thank you Bec for umpiring, Allan for scoring, Pete for ming and always Lilly for her support.

17 & Under: The wet weather made it tricky to move the ball quickly, however you adapted to condions and had strong hands to catch the ball. Our aacking line showed strength with driving onto the circle edge, having paence when passing and clearing space for each other. Ashlee, Jemma and Jazmine all shot with accuracy, making the most of any turnovers that Olivia, Abbey and Ella fed in. It took a lile while for our centre court defence to block the drive out of the defense line, but Macy, Ella and Tilly all made intercepons due to great body posioning and ancipang where the ball

may go. Your flexibility and talent in a range of posions was again on show. Great work in the cold, damp condions.

Congratulaons to Jemma for winning the Muffin Break award and Oliviah for the Zambreros. Thanks Nathan for scoring, Ma for ming and Zoe for umpiring. With this being the last "round game" for the year, I would like to thank all those that have contributed to our team with umpiring. B Reserve: Well done girls, coming away with the win. We need to remember let's reward our player that present front with the ball. We have to paence with space awareness all the over court and with driving back to the ball. Keeping our heads up with things aren't going our way and keep pung pressure over ball to create the turnover Lets come out firing against Robe today Thanks to Madi for scoring, Zoe for ming and Lynne for umpiring. Awards went to Hannah – Millicent Florist, Sophie – Fasta Pasta and Zali – Zambrero.

B Grade: Congratulaons girls, what a fantasc win yesterday. We played our own game and held our composure against a very physical side. Defence was consistent in the goal circle with Stacy and Charloe geng many intercepts and rebounds and with pressure applied from mid court many turnovers were made. Tilly and Mackenzie worked hard to make sure there shots counted and their teammates turnovers were well deserved. A Reserve: What a beer start to the game this week, you came out firing working well as a team, being paent with our passage of plays. We finished the first quarter 7 goals up. Kongorong stepped up the momentum and wanted it more and levelling the score at 18 all going in to the second half Unfortunately, we couldn't come away with the win. Also congratulaons to Abbey on making her A Grade debut aer already playing 2 games. Awards: Maddi B – Millicent Florist, Alisha – Fasta Pasta.

A Grade: Round 16 saw us take on Kongorong. We started the game a lot more focused than the prior week, coming off at the first break with a five goal lead. Our goal for the rest of the game was to build on that lead. It was great to have the young gun Ashlee Dean back in the side, creang space and shoong accurately. This combined with the defensive combinaon of Madi and Olivia, helped us to gain a 16 goal lead at half me. We made a few changes going into the third quarter, with Abbey Falng coming into WA and making her A Grade debut. She held her own super well and sloed into the team perfectly. Our final quarter saw our captain Laura step aside to allow Ella to come into the C posion and play with her fellow 17s teammate and friend Abbey on her debut. The selflessness of all the girls this season has been a pleasure to watch and coach. The young girls played super well together, with the guidance of our experienced Ebony Ebony really stepped up in the second half of the game, direcng and creang the play for the young ones. It was hard to pick best players as it was such a team game, with everyone playing exceponally well. But our standouts were Madi Hagge, creang turnover aer turnover and Ashlee Dean who has been incredible every me she has taken the court. She has an excing future ahead of her and we can't wait to be apart of it!

Congratulaons again to Abbey Falng on making her debut, it was a pleasure to watch you shine.

Down to Robe this week, let's finish strong girls! Go Mozzies!

Emily Lightbody at Goal Keeper for Kongorong took a few intercepons, but the pressure of Mt Burr’s mid court saw it coming back into the aack line before making the goal circle. Mt Burr’s quick transion down court through Schultz meant Kongorong found it difficult to stem the flow of goals. Tantanoola 53 def Hatherleigh 49

With both teams at full strength, this was a match that could go either way. The height of Emma Gould and Keryl Ousey was immediately a focal point for the Tantanoola Tigers, with Gould scoring the first goal for the match. Hatherleigh’s mid courters in Lara MacGregor and Erin Watson applied strong pressure down court, causing the Tigers to make some passing errors that the Eagles quickly converted into a two-point lead. Maddie Pulmer and Demi Vanderhorst were fed quickly and precisely giving them the control of the game in the first quarter. Ousey and Gould connued you show strength in their goal circle, keeping the Tigers in the game with some long range, accurate shoong. Casey Walker took a mely intercept in an aempt to slow the roll of the Eagles, but the Tigers couldn’t convert Walker’s efforts into a scoring play. Another strong defensive effort from the Eagles saw a held ball call their way, finishing the quarter in the lead 14-18.

Ashlee Dean in at Goal Aack for Mt Burr and combining well in goals with Goal Shooter Ebony Clark. Olivia Dean and Madi Hagge made it difficult for Kongorong shooters to gain possession. Kongorong’s Rach Perry at Centre and Kate Wright at Wing Aack had to have paence and be on circle edge to ensure opportunies to pass to the focal point of Tilah Buckingham at Goal Shooter for Kongorong. O. Dean got ps in defence which kept falling in the hands of Kongorong, but she kept working unl she created turnovers that were transioned down court to Clark to finish. Mt Burr took me to ensure passes in aack were safe and had to work hard to win the ball back when lost. They managed to take a 5-goal lead into the first break.

Mt Burr started strongly through strong drives and leads into aack by Laura Schultz and Ella Easterby, with Clark being a focal point in the circle. O. Dean connued to put pressure on in defence with Buckingham connuing to work hard to be the main goalie for Kongorong. Hagge and O. Dean worked well making it hard for the feeders to penetrate the circle. Mt Burr made the most of every opportunity with feeding and posioning in the goal circle making it difficult for the Kongorong defence to make an impact. Even though Mt Burr gained possession on numerous occasions Buckingham kept reposioning to give her side an opportunity to score. Any missed shots were taken by Hagge and O. Dean to work into aack. Easterby worked relessly at Wing Aackl;0, both with aacking drives onto the ring and forcing passing errors out of the Kongorong defensive end. A. Dean and Clark created space for each other to help Mt Burr pull away to a 16-goal lead at the main break.

Nangwarry had a couple of players out this week with other commitments, so they gave their 17 & Unders a go. Both teams started the first few centre passes, goal for goal. Then Glencoe upped the defence especially through the centre area and worked hard and stopped many balls geng through to Nangwarry’s goal area, liming Nangwarry’s opportunies. Once they started to get through Nangwarry goalers Hayley Vanderhorst and Cassie Dinnison moved well. Down the other end Glencoe’s Jenna Paproth worked overme shoong and moving well.

Glencoe connued their dominance with Goal Shooter Chantelle Cocks liing posioning well as a great focal point for her feeders along with Paproth. The Centres for both teams were having a good tussle both working hard for their teams, feeding well. Donna Jaeschke was also moving and feeding well around the ring to Paproth and Cocks. In the third, Dinnison went to Goal Aack and Vanderhorst Goal Shooter for Nangwarry. Glencoe swapped Jaeschke in Centre. Nangwarry really worked hard and were geng the ball down the court but struggling to get to their goalers from the excellent defensive work of Edwards and Chelsea Owen. Nangwarry goalers struggled to move in the ring and with any hesitaon from feeders Glencoe jumped on it and transioned easily back down the court to their goalers. Kayla Gray was working overme geng ps here and there making Cocks work hard. Chrystal Lock also geng many ps at Wing Defence and talking and driving well back down the court for her team.

No changes this quarter. Nangwarry lied a bit with Dinnison and Vanderhorst providing space for each other and with some paence Briany Dycer who

Tantanoola made the decision to bring Tayla Rowe out to Goal Defence, swapping posions with her defensive partner, Kate Bromley. Down the other end of the court, Maddie Redman and Elly Redden worked relessly to force the Tigers into some inaccurate passes. Watson and Varcoe had a strong tussle in the centre posion. With an evident increase of intensity from the Tigers, they finished second quarter down by only one 29-30.

The third quarter saw Hatherleigh make some changes, bringing Tegan Telfer onto the court relieving Erin Watson of her role in Centre.

Tantanoola started slowly, missing their first shot which gave Hatherleigh a two-goal buffer. Varcoe combined very well with Ousey to deliver some impressive long passes into the goal circle. Rowe stepped up and started to show her dominance and strong presence in her team’s defensive circle, leading Tantanoola into a two-goal lead. The Eagles didn’t let the game get away from them and remained persistent, with MacGregor taking a crucial intercepon, the score difference was just one. Telfer was a steady contributor to her aack line and her calmness and direcon was valuable during an important me in the game. Gould and Ousey seled their goal circle, being fed with precision and confidence by Jami Walker and Varcoe and rewarding their hard work with accurate shoong. Even with Vanderhorst scoring a goal on the final whistle, Tantanoola’s hard work resulted in them leading 44-37.

Tantanoola came out determined in the final quarter, scoring the first goal. Despite some missed goals, the Eagles were able to rely on Vanderhorst to rebound strongly to make the goals count. Redman was given the job of shung down Ousey but despite the height disadvantage managed to get an intercept which kept Hatherleigh in the game. Ousey refocused and sank an impressive long range shot with confidence. The game became a ght, physical tussle with both teams showing a desire to win.
