Mt Burr won the toss and elected to take the first centre pass for the game. A ght first quarter saw Hatherleigh take the lead at the first break by six goals. The Eagles’ defensive pressure through Tilly Prouse and Luca Hamilton, allowed for a strong second quarter, with Livvi Faulkner and Sienna Clark combing well in the goal circle and finishing off with accuracy. Changes by both teams at half me saw the Eagles dominate in the third as they moved the ball down the court with ease. In the last the Mozzies came back fighng, with Courtney Sigston making valuable turnovers, while Emily Lowndes shot with precision. At the final whistle the Eagles took out the win by 37.

Best players - Hatherleigh: Tilly Prouse, Livvi Faulks; Mount Burr: Sophie Smith, Courtney Sigston.

Port MacDonnell 48 def Mount Burr 36

It was an intense finals game, where both teams stepped up and proved their spot for a chance in the grand final. The weather was definitely on our side for once, making the girls work hard in the heat. The first half was close with one or two goals in it, and the defensive pressure from both teams was amazing all over court. This forced the girls to be paent and really think about what their next step was. In the aack the goalies from both teams had great rotaon in the ring, and the girls that got brought on at quarter me stepped up and sloed into their posions as if they had been playing the whole game. Mount Burr’s Sara Smith made a huge impact on the defence line, gaining clean intercepts and great leadership on the court. Bailee Lewis stepped up and found herself in three different posions over the game, making an impact in each posion and proving to be a very versale player Isla Fulham played out of posion in defence and limited Mount Burr’s opportunies, forcing them to use their circle to re posion in the ring. In the second half Port Mac chased all loose balls and backed up their teammates and scored from these turnovers allowing them to take a handy lead into the fourth quarter. Sarah Sigston from Mount Burr, and Chloe Day from Port Mac, were a strength in their respecve goal circle shoong well and following up strongly with rebounds. Port Mac connued this strength throughout the last quarter, proving that doing all the small things as a team can make a difference to the scoreboard. Layla McPherson’s presence and leadership was one to noce, causing turn overs and pung pressure on every pass. Mount Burr connued to work hard and pegged the lead back but were unable to hold that for the remaining quarter. It was a great game of netball to watch, with each player working hard to earn the right to move onto the next final. Great game by all, both teams should be proud of their efforts. There is some great talent to come up through the clubs in the next coming years.

Best players - Port MacDonnell: Isla Fulham, Chloe Day; Mount Burr: Lola Schultz, Sara Smith.

Tantanoola 54 def Kongorong 33

Kongorong won the toss and elected to take the first centre pass for the game. Tantanoola’s pressure early saw them turn the first ball over and score through Bella Poulish. The Tigers’ defensive pressure allowed them five unanswered goals going into the first break with an 11-goal lead. Both sides were fighng hard for

possession with both centres Charli Kaigg and Paige Hicks running hard all game providing lots of opons down court for their respecve sides. Fague set in for both sides causing more loose balls and mistakes by both sides. With Tant seling beer under fague it allowed them to maintain a more controlled game. Molly Cushion stepped up in the third term gaining numerous turnovers for her side. Although Evie Sealey hustled hard through her defensive pressure, Tant’s quick ball movement was too much going into the final break with the Tiger’s having an 18goal lead. The constant contest throughout the game saw both sides fighng for every ball but it was Tantanoola who were able to overcome the pressure and advance through to the preliminary final.

Best players - Tantanoola: Bella Poulish, Molly Cushion; Kongorong: Paige Hicks, Jasmin McKinnon.

Close first quarter with Mt Burr taking the early lead with great shoong by Mt Burr’s Goal Shooter Sophie Jankowski. Second quarter Port Mac made a change bringing on Eboni Smith into Goal Shooter. Mt Burr capitalized on Port Mac’s inaccuracy. Consistent shoong by Jankowski gave Mount Burr a 10-goal lead at half me. Port Mac started a comeback in the third quarter with the ght defence from Brooklynn Jones. Bec Fox from Mt Burr kept her Goal Aack scoreless for the quarter. Port Mac outscored Mt Burr in the last quarter but were not good enough to reduce the margin, losing by 5 goals.

Best players - Mount Burr: Sophie Jankowski, Bec Fox; Pt Mac: Brooklynn Jones, Paige Cawthorne.

B Grade

Port MacDonnell 39 lost to Glencoe 50

This was a really hard-fought finals match, both teams came out firing with the first quarter being the closest of the game with Glencoe taking the lead by only 1 goal at quarter me. Port Mac made posional changes and brought Montanna Millard into the defence. Port Mac took a while to sele and made unforced errors in the second quarter which Glencoe capitalised on in the circle by the strong goalie combinaon of Kayla Medhurst and Briany Liebich. Port MacDonnell’s Jess Grigg went off in the second with an ankle injury bringing on youngster Lilly Day. Glencoe’s rhythm was hard to beat and they outscored the Bay in the second quarter by six goals. Aer the half me break Port Mac came out with determinaon and grit. Glencoe came out fighng and scored goal for goal matching each other's intensity. Glencoe seemed to lose their intensity and Port Mac outscored Glencoe in the third, with Kelly Millard and Lilly Day a focal point of the circle passes from Deanne Spencer and Candice Merre. Glencoe headed into the final break with a 5-goal lead. In the last quarter pressure was felt by both sides and they both made unforced errors in the beginning. Hayley Dunford delivered the ball with accuracy to the Glencoe’s goalies. Glencoe showed their strength and their determinaon to push forward and outscore the Bay by 11 in the final quarter

Best players - Port MacDonnell: Candice Merre, Elivia Stanley; Glencoe: Hayley Dunsford, Kayla McInnes.

Tantanoola was a close, hard-fought game which is what finals is meant to be. Port Mac had the lead at the first break with only one goal. There were a lots of unforced errors from both sides, with Port Mac being able to capitalize early leading by four goals at half me. Tantanoola were not going down without a fight. Port Mac felt the pressure from Tant who connued to create turnovers, keeping the score close. Bianca Taylor and Shelby Ryan were accurate shoong keeping Tantanoola in the game, however, Kate Winterfield, Isabella Lamb and Narelle Lewis put the pressure on in the mid court making it hard for Tant to get the ball to their goalies.

Tantanoola fought back at third quarter me were only down by one. This game was contested hard in the last quarter with both teams not backing down. Although Leah Ousey and Lucy Barber were placing the pressure on Port Mac, Cody Manning and Kirby Carrison scored the goals they needed to come out with a one goal win. The game could have gone either way with both teams fighng it out unl the final whistle.

Best players - Port MacDonnell: Cody Manning, Isabelle Sneath; Tantanoola: Shelby Ryan, Bianca Taylor.

A Grade

Tantanoola 52 def Robe 51

Tantanoola took on Robe in the A Grade First Semi Final. Talented 17 & Under Bella Poulish started at Wing Defence for the Tigers due to the unavailability of Keryl Ousey due to basketball commitments in America. Robe won the toss and scored through Halle Carter and Tantanoola followed suit through Emma Gould. Great defensive work through Kate Bromley at Goal Defence for Tantanoola pushed the Tigers out to a 3-goal lead early in the quarter. Robe worked hard defensively and with Halle & Demi Carter combining well and shoong with accuracy Robe pegged back the lead and at one stage in the quarter lead by 3. Tantanoola seled and the scores were even at 14 all.

The second quarter started much the same as the first with both teams making unforced errors with both teams showing more nerves than in the first. Tayla Rowe got some nice touches in Tant’s defensive end. Robe’s full court pressure ensured Tantanoola’s lead did not “blow out” Lucy Perkins at Wing Aack for Robe worked hard and fed her goalies with precision passes. Jami Walker at Goal Aack for the Tigers started to have an impact on the game, as did Halle Carter at Goal Aack for Robe. Tantanoola held a slim 3 goal lead at halime.

For the third me in the game Robe started with the centre pass, capitalised, broke Tantanoola’s centre and evened the score within the first 5 minutes. Robe’s defensive pressure throughout the court was making Tantanoola work for every possession. Despite the lead changing hands many mes during the quarter, Tantanoola hung on and went into the last with a 3-goal lead.

With both sides playing for their 2023 season the last quarter was set up to be a great one. Tantanoola scored the first goal of the last extending their lead to 4. Strong work from Tantanoola Goal Shooter Emma Gould under the post against the strong defensive pressure ensured Tantanoola kept their slight 2 goal buffer. Paence by Casey Walker & Kate Varcoe in Tantanoola’s aacking end and great posioning by Gould and Jami Walker ensured Tantanoola came away with a one goal win, in a close contest.

Best players - Tantanoola: Emma Gould, Casey Walker; Robe: Demi Carter, Georgia Perkins.

Thank you for being a great bunch of girls to coach, I enjoyed our season together and had lots of fun, and I hope you all did as well. A huge thanks to Dawn for being such a great support with me and the girls. A massive thanks to our parents for all your wonderful and posive support throughout the season.

15 & Under: On a beauful day for netball, the final was a great game. Holly and Sarah started strongly in goals with Stella being a quick moving target when she came into the game at half me. Lola played a strong driving game at WA and centre with Kaylah and Lexi conbung with accurate passing to goalies. Gemma and Callie at WD tried to stem the flow of the ball into Pt Mac's aack line with hands over pressure. Sara and Becky combined well in the defensive

circle having to change their game with different opponents, making many turnovers when ancipang where the ball was going. Pt Mac were able to chase up loose balls and make the most of any turnovers. It was great to see the way you kept coming back at them when they got on a roll with a few goals. You should be very proud of the way you finished the season in finals and represented our club with a posive atude and determinaon to play at your best. We look forward to having you all out next season with another chance to improve skills and play in the green and gold. Thanks to Monique for scoring and Zoe and Macy for training and team managing. Best of luck to 17s and B Reserve for the coming weeks of finals.

B Reserve: Well done girls, a great win. Our first half set us up for the game, as Pt Mac never gave up and pushed us right to the end. Great shoong from our goalies, who were combining strongly in the circle. Our precision passing into our goalies was paent giving the goalies me to present themselves in the right posion. Our defence all over the court put lots of pressure on Pt Mac creang many turnovers, especially against Pt Mac goalies. Let's keep working hard, and supporng each other as a team, and come out firing.

15 & Under: Port MacDonnell 48 defeated Mount Burr 36. Great game played by both teams today, it was a well contested finals game to watch from the side lines. Each player today stepped up and proved they are worthy competors of that grand final posion. Given the team's circumstances at the start of the week, losing our captain Jasmine due to injury, everyone adjusted and worked hard to accommodate for the changes we had to make last minute. Everyone's presence and defensive pressure all over court was to be noced, causing Mount Burr to rethink their passes. The leadership and talk all over court was a credit to all and proves that our hard work at trainings is paying off. Isla found herself in a new posion today at GK, and boy did she step up and put on a show. Isla got hands to absolutely anything she could, and she shut down her GS. You should be very proud of your efforts aer today's games, as you proved your spot in the finals team. Layla McPherson's leadership and strong drive on the court was tremendous, and aer praccing her defensive pressure and blocking at training, the improvement on court was noced. Chelsea eliminated her WA player, stopping her drive and displaying great 'give and go' opons. Bree played a consistent four quarters, proving to be a strong asset in the goal circle. Bree is a smart young player, who shows great leadership on and off the court. Bailee Lewis found herself in three posions over the game, proving to be a worthy and versale player who puts in 100% anywhere she is put; she is one to watch out for. When Bella McLean is on the court, she shows great control and knows how to slow the game down, which helps the rest of the girls on the court regain control over their opponents and start fresh. Lily Jacob each week has shown great determinaon and gives her all in whatever posion, she's our quiet one but when she hits that court but be known she is there. Lily has found her voice this season, which is great, keep it up! Chloe Day shows great courage and leadership in aack, she doesn't miss many goals, and she is sure to get up for those rebounds. She is definitely a silent achiever who shows great respect on court, whether it be her own team or her opponent, she has a big gentle heart and is our posive energy this year. Keep it up Chloe, you're doing amazing things. Today you girls have shown that no maer what you're told, you get out there, get it done and give it a red-hot shot. You've improved so much this season and today it showed. Great game by all girls. Best players: Chloe Day, Isla Fulham.

B Reserve: Mount Burr 36 defeated Port MacDonnell 31. It just wasn't to be. We were coming back with our defensive end doing some wonderful turnovers for us to outscore Mt Burr in the third and last quarter, but our gap

was too great at half me for us to finish with our goals being filled. It was a pleasure to see you keep pushing yourselves for you whole game. Brooklyn Jones, Fiona Sco & Paige Cawthorne were our best players for this match. I hope you have been able to take something out of this years' experience. With a great atude towards each other it has been a joy to coach you all. See you next year onwards and upwards.

B Grade: Port MacDonnell 39 defeated by Glencoe 50. A determined and commied effort by all players today. It was tense and hard fought game. Kelly and Jess combined beaufully in the first quarter and showed incredible strength. The dedicaon and determinaon shown by all players involved today was incredible. We had some beauful passages of play out of defence, by Jenni and Montanna. Our rhythm lost when Jess sustained an ankle injury in the second. At mes our focus was distracted and our opponents capitalised on these lapses. Our third quarter was impressive and we outscored our opponents to set us up with a chance to come out on top. Candice's pinpoint passing into the goalies found them under the post in great posion to score. Defensively, ps and touches by Elivia had us picking up loss balls. Unfortunately today we had too many errors and were unable to capitalise on our turnovers and gains. The efforts from our two juniors who entered the court were faultless, as both Lilly and Chloe baled hard. A credit to both of them. Montanna and Jess, I hope you both have speedy recoveries from your injuries today. The effort and dedicaon over the season by all players has made this season an enjoyable and rewarding one. Bring on next year! Best players: Elivia Stanley, Candice Merre.

A Reserve: Port MacDonnell 47 defeated Tantanoola 46. OMG what a great game today girls, we all had to fight hard right to the end and pull-out everything we had, 'cause Tant weren't going down without a fight. I believe we played four consistent quarters and kept fighng right to the end. Defense worked overme, with not many shots missed from the Tant goalies. But, they sure did apply the pressure to make sure Tant had to work for every ball. Izzy had an amazing game in the middle, with her well med drives and delivery of the ball into the circle. The goalies had their work cut out for them today but they fought back and ensured they got up for every rebound, to make sure the next shot counted. As I said, a bloody good game and I truly believe today was a TEAM effort with everyone giving 110%, leaving everything on the court. Our fight's not over yet, so let's keep working hard and keep pushing to see how far we can get in this finals series. Best players: Cody Manning, Izzy Sneath.

Senior Colts: Finals me! Couldn’t have asked for a beer day to take Hatherleigh on at their home deck. What a challenge it was for us. The boys rocked up ready to go, with heaps of energy in the change room. The focus was again team work, discipline and work rate. The boys did just that and didn’t miss a beat all day coming away 42 point winners. All though an all round team effort it was hard to pick best players. Flynn Peel, Kaiden Carter, Jimmy Murch, Max Robertson and Cooper Thomas. I have to apologise to Daniel Nunan as he booted 7 and should’ve taken the BOG. (My mistake). Now we look forward to having a home prelim next week. See you there for a big day as we try make our way for a 3rd grand final appearance in 3 years.

B Grade: Finals me is always an excing me for football and the weather was perfect. We headed to Hatherleigh to play Kongorong on what we knew was going to be a tough day. The message before the game was simple, if they apply pressure lets raise the bar and go above. In the first quarter Kongorong came out firing and the pressure was there. Kicking 3 goals 4 behinds to our nothing. At quarter me the message was simple, play like we have nothing to loose and its our last game. With a couple moves to change up the field we started to play our kind of football. Disco controlled the half back line and Mason Keane started to get his hands on the ball across the half forward line. Kaiden Carter played a wing roll all day and had so much space

to keep running. Going in at three quarter me up, we where set up to control the last quarter. The boys didn’t let anyone down with a great last quarter with lots of great ball movement. Special menon to Bram and Cornish for their individual efforts all day. As a team it was a good a game as you can watch. Well done to Kongorong for the year, never a fun side to come up against especially with there physicality. We look forward to coming up against either Kalangadoo or Hatherliegh at home for the prelim final. Go Roosters!

A Grade: Robe A Grade limped into the final series with too many players playing injured and they were exposed by a determined Hatherleigh on the day. While it was not the way they wished to end the season, when looked at over its enrety the season was successful. The team welcomed some players back to the club, aracted a group of new players to the town and the club and saw the development and growth of our younger players. We have been able to retain Nathan Brown as A Grade coach and are confident of retaining all players on our list and who knows who will wander into town aracted by the development and lifestyle in Robe. The strength of our A Grade also had the benefit of strengthening our reserves team and we wish them well as they progress into the finals. At the me of wring this the future makeup of the compeon is unknown but Robe will strive to be compeve and improve whatever 2024 season holds.

17 & Under: What a win by the girls! You all came out firing and all did your jobs. Our aacking onto the ball all over the court was the best yet, we hit our targets and delivered the ball well into Bella and Ebony. Ebony was our work horse in aack, keeping her player busy and created a lot of plays which allowed Bella to work hard on her one on one. Demi and Charli combined well on the ring and also got some defensive ps. In defence, Molly and Holly worked relessly in defence and got so many ps. Kailah provided some excellent ps and drives down court. Kaitlin worked one on one which created excellent pressure allowing our circle defenders to create turnovers. Poppy came on as goal shooter and was so calm and scored one of the final goals of the game. It was such a team effort and it was amazing to watch such a wanted win by the girls. On to the next one now!

A Reserve: With the weather creang perfect netball condions it was crunch me. Pt Mac got off to a great start in the first 1/4. Creang turnovers and scoring off them.
