We’ve been spending a lot of time lately daydreaming of exotic tropical vacations, and of course, the sexy beach photo shoots that come with them! We are looking forward to several more on-location features, and would love to hear where you would like is to travel to next. We love meeting readers and discovering new models from all over the world.

MCLAREN 650 S SPYDER

rofessional car pundits put the McLaren 650 S in a class with Lamborghini’s Huracán, Audi’s R8 Plus, Mercedes’ AMG GT S, & Porsche’s Turbo S. That makes some sense on paper. They each cost about a quarter of a million U.S. dollars, they accelerate to 60 in under 3 seconds (which was simply impossible outside of an F1 track, not long ago, remember?) & they burst with power & the technology to control it (hence the hitherto-unobtainable performance figures). So yes, same class. That’s OK on paper, you there with your lab coats & clipboards.

hose guys should ditch the clipboards & get out more. Drive a McLaren 650 S around & you’re hit with an alarming impression that this is no ordinary car. It’s hard to believe any group with a Lamborghini, Porsche Turbo & AMG would be ordinary in any sense, but that’s what the McLaren does to that group – relegate them to ordinary.

McLaren is known for its carbon fiber. It hand-makes carbon fiber tubs for the top race teams around world.

This is not just a layer of carbon fiber applique. McLaren points out that not only is their MonoCell lighter, it’s stronger and stiffer than steel or aluminum, & it does not degrade like metal, “so the McLaren will feel as agile and be just as safe for decades to come.”

And yes “alarming” is correct. Professional reviewers say the McLaren scares them. How could a car with this much engineering, this much reputation for driving excellence, this much refinement & testing, be scary?

Not just the tub, but everything visible in the car seems light. You don’t see fields of cute little silver switches, knobs, accents....Maybe the McLaren sounds mad due to its weight-loss diet, making it grumpy, like a model. It takes some audacity to sell a $200,000+ car with such a bare interior.

First, the sound. Aren’t we all supposed to be offended by loud-sounding cars? Polite society these days demands politically-correct, hushed motors. If you’re so audacious & rude as to burn petroleum instead of coal, like Tesla, then you need to know your place & hide in the corner, quietly. McLaren didn’t get that memo. Maybe they’re executing a car-society Brexit? Is Trump behind this?

It’s not really loud, though, but menacing. Its 8,500-rpm motor emits a sharp, crisp sound, like it’s cutting air with a surgical knife, rather than bludgeoning it with a locomotive. More like Chuck Norris than Thuh Turminator.

Does it want to kill me? Hasn’t anyone tamed this thing before asking me to get in it? That can be scary when all of the other cars are politely maintaining their ordained demeanor, standing in line like we’re told.

You also notice the dash display shows a helmeted driver.

Your feet are in a small pedal box. The doors open like a guillotine. Gulp.

Second, once you take off, you’re then overwhelmed with its light-weight: only 3,020 pounds (1,370 kg) thanks to its carbon fiber MonoCell - basically the center tub or frame, which weighs only 165 pounds (75kg). That’s less than our model Samantha! The new Corvette C7 Stingray Z06 weighs 3,523 lb (1,598 kg) & that’s with GM’s trick aluminum frame & a fiberglass body.

So compared to the McLaren, the Corvette is like carrying four extra Samanthas in the car with you, just sitting there, taking selfies. Maybe that’s not so bad, come to think of it, but if you were somehow able to do that & still think about the car handling, it would feel (the driving, anyway) sluggish in comparison – with the weight of four extra people in it. The McLaren is so light it can feel like it’s not “planted” to the road. Scary.

Third, McLaren’s Launch Control system effortlessly spits you forward, like a Saturn V. You’re somehow instantly hurdling down the road in this light-weight sleigh, just in front of a snarling twin-turbo, 3.8 liter V8, barking 641bhp, torque 500 lb ft, & with its super-rev-happy dry sump lubrication, flat-plane crankshaft, 32 valve, DOHC, VVT, 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, & rev limit of 8,500rpm, making your spine tingle & the little hairs on the back of your head stand in excitement. You first think “something’s about to happen fast & I’m just a helpless spectator!” Next you think you should probably quit spectating & glance at the speedometer - you’re probably already going too fast. If it took you 2.9 seconds to do so, you’re already doing 60 mph. If it took you 5.8 seconds to come to your senses & force your eyeballs down to the speedometer, you’d see you were already doing 100 mph. By the time you cover ¼ mile, you’re doing 134 mph!

And by now it hits you that the motor, the gearbox, the entire car, are conspiring to explode like this until it hits 204mph, with you inside, unless someone in there wakes up & tames the beast.

Forth, somewhere in that rush your panicked brain remembers noticing McLaren’s comparatively-thin rims & tires, (Pirelli P Zero Corsa 235/35 R19 / 305/30 R20 (F/R)) not nearly as wide as Porsche’s & Lamborghini’s.

Hey wait, someone forgot to add enough rubber! Worse, when you corner, McLaren’s on-board wizard activates Brake Steer, which “subtly uses the rear brakes to manage traction, minimize mid-corner understeer and control oversteer ...allowing the car to effectively pivot around the desired path. ...to breathtaking effect.” Ha! Breathtaking for sure! So McLaren thinks it cool to grab an inside rear wheel while I’m hanging on for life? Scary multiplied.

ifth, intentionally or not, McLaren sloped the front hood & windshield such that the driver doesn’t see the front of the car, just the road rushing at him. This is great in racing cars – you don’t need to see your own fenders as much as every single speck of road. But to the newbie car guy, that too can be terrifying. You’re now riding out on the nose of this super-light gokart, that doesn’t seem attached, with way-too-much horsepower, small tires, a motor that screams it wants to kill you, & a brake with a mind of its own. Scary.

Sixth, McLaren’s gizmos (PCC) also automatically modify the suspension from supple, in town, to roll-free cornering during aggressive maneuvers.

When you take off, the car can feel a little loose, like a Miata perhaps, & you just don’t think it could handle a blistering134 mph in mere 1/4 mile, “what have I gotten myself in to?!” but the car knows. The suspension gets tighter as appropriate. It’s ok. But scary.

McLaren is known for its carbon fiber & its aerodynamics. The 650S has functional front air splitters & rear diffusers, creating significant downforce without large, obvious wings. Its rear Airbrake “can also be partially deployed to act as a rear wing, increasing rear down-force by 20%, while a Drag Reduction System lowers it to maximize straight-line performance.”

When such little tricks work together in a thoroughly-comprehensive, well thought-out package, as McLaren can do, they let it dispense with the otherwise-crude large visible aero wings & skinny tires that would seem “too thin,” allowing for lighter wheels, lighter overall weight & a combined MPG cycle of 24.2 (that’s probably British gallons, which are a bit bigger than US.). It’s scary if you don’t understand the whole package, but once you do, you see why it’s not an “ordinary car.” Scary!

THE NO MAN’S SKY SCANDAL

A

s much as it hurts to say, the drama surrounding the release of No Man’s Sky has been more entertaining than the game itself. Winner of IGN’s ‘Game of Show’ award at E3 in 2014, Hello Games’ intended magnum opus has earned an “overwhelmingly negative” rating on Steam. Backlash from consumers grew so strong that the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority initiated an investigation of Hello Games for false advertising in the game’s marketing. On the morning of October 28th, the developer’s Twitter account was made private after a tweet was cross-posted from an employee on LinkedIn, stating that “No Man’s Sky was a mistake.” The tweet, along with emails confirming its origin, were allegedly sent by none other than Hello Game’s CEO, Sean Murray.

In Murray’s (or his hacker’s) own words sent to Polygon via email, Hello Games “have not been coping well”.

To add to the scandal, photos have surfaced online of the company headquarters completely abandoned.

Clearly, No Man’s Sky was not ready for liftoff.

The implosion of Hello Games should serve not only as a juicy scandal, but as a cautionary tale for developers at all levels of the craft. When all’s said and done, what can the gaming industry learn from the rise and fall of No Man’s Sky? The game was never a mistake, but victim of poor marketing and hype. Inconsistency in public relations, unrealistic exaggerations of the game’s features, and an underdeveloped product with a $60 pricetag prevented No Man’s Sky from growing into the groundbreaking game it was intended to be.

Only a month after the game was released on Steam, consumer complaints escalated to the point where the Advertising Standards Authority, a third party advertising standards enforcer in the UK, began investigating Hello Games on claims of false advertising. Speculation among the gaming community began prior to No Man’s Sky’s release. A redditor with an early copy of the game claimed on the r/NoMansSkyTheGame subreddit to have reached the center of the universe after just 30hrs

of gameplay, despite CEO Sean Murray’s claim that the game should take hundreds of hours to finish. On the first day of the game’s release, two more redditors crossed paths on the same planet while live streaming on Twitch, but were not able to see each other. While blatantly disproving Murray’s claim that, “The chances of two players ever crossing paths in a universe this large is pretty much zero,” more speculation arose concerning whether players are able to interact in the game at all. Finally, a series of bugs which required numerous Patch fixes sparked outcry over the game seeming unfinished, lacking many of the promised features.

The ASA investigation into Hello Games’ marketing may have been the cherry on top of a bad release, but will likely not end with legal action. In PC Gamer’s interview with videogame attorneys concerning the ASA’s investigation, lawyer Ryan Morrison made a point that, “any comments made by Sean Murray in interviews or in Reddit AMAs are not considered advertising.”

In other words, Murray running his mouth does not constitute ‘official marketing’ in a legal context.The ASA will likely advise Hello Games to be more mindful about marketing it’s products, which seems unnecessary after the investigation killed any remaining player interest.

Objectively, No Man’s Sky had potential as a successful game, but was never given the chance to grow. The Hello Games team promised that updates to the game would be made based on player feedback, but mass rejection will likely prevent many more expansions.

Rather than slapping a $60 price tag on a ‘blank canvas’, perhaps No Man’s Sky should have been released as an alpha demo. That way, players could try the game and give feedback before developing unrealistic expectations, and developers could shape their game into a product that the community wants. In fact, No Man’s Sky could have had a similar development process to StarCitizen. The most crowdfunded thing of all time, StarCitizen has been in alpha since 2013, and provided weekly update summaries to players every step of the way. To date, StarCitizen has earned over

Roberts Space Industries has proven immense dedication to detail and quality, and prioritizes player feedback in the development of their game. Had Hello Games listened to their especially vocal fan base, No Man’s Sky could have had the opportunity to grow into the experience we really wanted. To be fair, Hello Games did not exactly make itself accessible to the public after it’s release.

Prior to the now infamous ‘mistake’ hack, Hello Games’ Twitter account had not been active for over a month.

Odd, considering the studio had just released it’s biggest title since the Joe Danger series. Even more odd is the fact that No Man’s Sky’s developers have no active public relations team. Shuhei Yoshida, president

of Sony Creative Entertainment Worldwide Studios made a statement regarding Murray, “It wasn’t a great PR strategy, because he didn’t have a PR person helping him, and in the end he is still an indie developer.” How a team of only 16 employees can expect to release a triple A game with no PR department is baffling. A major inconsistency in Murray’s interviews that irked players from the beginning was whether or not No Man’s Sky would actually be multiplayer. The games is described as having a ‘shared universe’, but whether or not players could actually interact in the game was vague. This seems like something that should be pretty clear to a game’s audience prior to release. The majority of the issues No Man’s Sky had with it’s marketing, such as an unclear vision of what the public should know about the game and poor communication with the public on social media, could have been avoided if Hello Games

had just one person dedicated to making sure the the game was well represented. Regardless of how No Man’s Sky was received by the public, Hello Games had the responsibility of consistently communicating with the public over social media.

Too often in games marketing, we see studios promising more than a game they can’t deliver. This is a trend that the community is rejecting in mass, judging on their poor reception of the Infinite Warfare trailer and No Man’s Sky. Having a strong group of developers does not equal the overall success of a game. Every part of the development team, including marketing and PR, will have an impact on a game’s success. What developers and professionals in the industry can take away from the No Man’s Sky drama is that the gaming community are more than just consumers, and are driven by constant communication and feedback. Hello Games may have said on their website that “you have been heard and we are listening carefully”, but a lack of correspondence with the media and a barron Twitter says otherwise.

Active and honest public communication at all stages of development is an important not only for game sales, but maintaining trust within the gaming community.

H

i, I’m Kallie Kaye, and I’m a self proclaimed lingerie and hosiery addict. My love for beautiful underthings was apparent very early on. By the tender age of 10 I was already begging my mother to buy me my first training bra. Initially she declined all my requests, stating that I didn’t NEED to wear a bra yet. But it didn’t matter to me that I didn’t NEED to wear one because I WANTED to wear one.

Luckily, I’m not one to give up when I want something and eventually my persistence paid off. When she finally agreed to buy me my first training bra set I instantly knew that I was going to be hooked for life. I fell in love with the delicate lace and the soft lavender fabric, and I distinctly remember thinking to myself that when I grew up all I truly wanted was for my drawers to be filled with tons of gorgeous, lacey underwear. And **SPOILER ALERT** that’s exactly what happened!

My craving for lingerie only continued to grow as I matured. By the time I hit high school I had discovered the Victoria’s Secret PINK line. As a teenage girl the cute patterns and flirty styles they offered immediately appealed to me and I quickly became obsessed. My friends and I would get dropped off at the mall on the weekends and return home with bags filled to the brim with bras and panties in every single color of the rainbow. Seeing as how we attended a catholic school that required us to wear uniforms, our lingerie was one small way we could express ourselves (even if nobody ever saw it!)

There was, however, a small loophole in my high school’s dress code. So even though we all had to wear the same boring plaid school skirt and button down shirt, we were each allowed to pick whatever type of hosiery we wanted. I believe this is what initially sparked my interest in legwear and hosiery. Needless to say, I began collecting a vast array of knee-highs and tights ranging from sweet and demure to bright and bold. I had every pattern you could ever possibly imagine: polka dots, stripes, hearts, bows, flowers, argyle, sheer, opaque, shiny, glossy, sparkly… the list could go on and on!

When I graduated high school, my taste in lingerie began to mature. Through my own curiosity I was gradually

exposed to more and more brands as well as different types of lingerie that I didn’t even know existed. It was only a matter of time before I discovered the wonderful world of corsets. Even though I already have a naturally small waist and larger hips and thighs, I loved the idea of being able to accentuate my hourglass shape even more! Because in my opinion there is truly nothing more beautiful and feminine than the lovely curves of a woman’s body. And as an added bonus, a good corset will instantly improve your posture, which gives the appearance of poise, elegance, and grace. What’s not to adore?!

Then, as a burlesque dancer, I discovered the power of stockings and garter belts. The moment I slipped my first pair of stockings on I knew I was hooked. I loved everything about them. Even just the simple act of putting them on would get my heart racing, and to this day, it still does. I think part of the appeal is in the small details. I love the feeling of the delicate fabric sliding like silk onto my legs. I love running my hands across the smooth surface of the nylon material. I love the ritual of clipping the stockings into place using the suspender slings. I love the way it makes my lingerie set look so well put together and “complete”. My Grandmother once told me that all a woman really needs in her life is a good garter belt, a pair of stockings, and some high heels. If you ask me, I think she was onto something because I know that when I put my stockings on, I feel as though I can conquer the world.

With that being said, lingerie and hosiery is so much more than just something you wear underneath your clothes.

It’s about feeling sexy, confident, and empowered, knowing that you have a secret hidden just below the surface. It’s about embracing femininity and celebrating womanhood to the fullest.

tips, tricks, and super secret pantyhose hacks! My goal is simple: to delight, inform, and entertain my viewers as much as possible while answering questions to the best of my ability.

One question I am often asked by men is how they can get their significant other to wear more lingerie in the bedroom. The answer to that is really quite simple; BUY IT FOR HER! Lingerie is the ultimate gift because it goes both ways! It’s practically common sense! I promise, you will be SO glad you did and so will your girlfriend or wife because when you give a woman lingerie you unleash her inner goddess. But be warned, once the flame within a woman has been ignited, it will only grow in intensity- so make sure you are prepared to handle what comes your way!

So although I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on the topic of pretty underthings, there is still so much more for me to explore and discover. For example, I just recently had my first full body latex experience for a photo shoot and I am already contemplating ways to get my hands on a pair of latex stockings to add to my collection! And to be entirely honest, I want the full cat suit itself too! And the hood! The smooth feeling of the latex hugging and squeezing every inch of my body was unlike anything I’d ever experienced before; so sensual and stimulating yet calming and relaxing at the same time. But that could be an entirely different article all on its own. What do you guys think? Should I explore the world of latex and report back all the fun, sexy, kinky details? I think I might just have to do that…
