Howard University recently announced the legendary Alumna Phylicia Rashad as Dean of the new, reestablished College of Fine Arts. The entire DC metropolitan area is elated to have Dean Phylicia Rashad apart of the area and the program. Way to go Howard University!

HBCUs have recently won a case granting schools like Morgan State University, Coppin State University and Bowie State University money from a years long law suite that showed these schools lack funds given to create sufficient programs for students to receive a competitive education compared to white schools.
