GRECIAN WAVE CHICAGO PERFORMANCE CENTER
Located in the city of Chicago, on the streets of W Jackson Blvd and S Green St, 301 S Green sits in a prominent cultural town known for its abundant Greek heritage. It is at this location that waves of Greek immigrants had come to settle down and live out their lives. To pay homage to their long and distinct history the music performance hall combines the thematic element of the sound waves music produces, alongside the abdundant waves of migrants who created and built this unique space, making it their own place they call home.

“THE GREAT PLANES”
CHAMPAIGN INFILL LOT
Transforming space into a place of learning, the creation of a small-scale bookstore gallery strives to connect the acquisition of knowledge and equity for locals within the city of downtown Champaign. The Midwest is typically thought to be made up of flat, extensive plains, though through the use of the butterfly roof the design seeks to play with different planar objects highlighting the various capabilities of what is thought to be average. However, alternatively speaking airplanes are what is most commonly come to mind when speaking of “planes,” this duality is represented through the roof structure as planes are meant to transport you to different places, as does reading when one picks up a book.

CURIOUSITY & DISCOVERY FULTON MARKET REDESIGN
Home to the Fulton Market, 918 W Randolph is an area in which one can see the history that was once laid out where the spaces are now converted into mixed-use of retail and offices. The lack of demographic diversity can be noticed upon analysis of the neighborhood, the proposed redesign would cater to young generations as well as the working class, blending the usages of offices on the top most floors with children’s retail. The structure itself is meant to reflect the curiousity of children that often gets lost with age, the exploration of differing contours of the building while still maintaining a modern touch.

COMMUNITY GARDEN EATERY
Located in the town of Spiez, Switzerland this project was inspired by “The Sound of Music” and the scene in which the family is seen joyfully having a picnic together. With that it was significant to have a beautiful view to enjoy while one is eating. The seating itself is integrated into the vineyards where community memebers are able to pick out the freshest ingredients for their meal. The tabletops take on an organic shape to signify the movement of water as one looks out onto the lake and past that see the Swiss Alps. The main focus of the eatery is the importance of readily available, healthy food while also having a place with a stunning view that is accessible for many.
