island,

In the context of sustainable development, this project explores resilient landscape strategies for islands to cope with sealevel rise and a series of problems caused by it and finds possible strategies to mitigate sea-level rise, to reduce risks to people, economy and society.

The project is located at Chongming District, Shanghai. Changxing island with citrus planting, Marine equipment manufacturing as the leading industries, rapid economic development. However, Changxing island is located in an ecologically sensitive area at the estuary of the Yangtze River, facing a series of problems such as severe water-logging, loss of bird habitat and serious industrial pollution.

In the process of finding solutions to sea-level rise and a series of problems caused by it, landscape strategies have been adopted to reduce natural disasters and economic losses while creating new economic, tourism, social service opportunities and recreational space to help the future development of the island.

Water table

Saturated soil

The salt in the soil dissolves in water, enters the hollow pipe to discharge the soil, reduces the soil salinization city, is advantageous to the crop planting.

In the replanning of Changxing island, the living habits of birds have been fully taken into account to attract birds to stay, protect birds and enrich species diversity.

Removal of existing cement channels and restoration of natural channels have increased the capacity of rivers and reduced waterlogging.

With the development of The Times, the old shipyard was left idle and transformed into a place integrating water purification, sightseeing.

Through a series of devices, increase the oxygen content of water, improve the water quality, to provide a healthy habitat for all kinds of organisms.

Rainwater filtration and collection devices are set up to collect and store rainwater as agricultural water for sustainable development.

MODEL

With the rapid development of cities, urban space is easy to be used extensively. The urban viaduct is a symbol of speed, efficiency and indifference. It is the gray artery of the city, which ruthlessly cuts off the urban space, and the space under the viaduct is easily ignored. This project explores the use of deformed space caused by terrain, height difference area and other factors in the process of urban planning, to tap its potential and make the urban landscape more exquisite. The project is located along Binjiang Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. Surrounded by multiple neighborhoods, schools and two failing parks,

IN MOTION

The moving line around the light rail station is chaotic, especially during the rush hour. The interleaving of the movement paths between the commuters and those coming for leisure becomes the main contradiction.

SEWAGE DISCHARGE AT WILL

Nearby residential areas directly discharged untreated domestic water into the Jialing River, causing serious water pollution and putting pressure on the ecological environment.

This viaduct is located near the bank of the slope of the land, slope ups and downs. Accessibility, convenience, security and so on should be paid attention to in the location and way of the entrance, which includes three aspects: spatial accessibility, visual accessibility and psychological accessibility. In the design, there are four ways of entry, which can be selected according to the environment of the entrance.

1. Enter through the vertical traffic body adjacent to the viaduct. 2. Enter by stairs parallel to the viaduct.

3. Enter by the stairs or gentle slope of the overpass adjacent to the viaduct. 4. Enter by stairs or gentle slope at the entrance of a gentle area.

A large amount of space in the project base is idle due to large height difference and small area, and the utilization rate of the whole space is very low.

This design focus on how to provide diversified, multi-level and multi-dimensional campus public space through landscape techniques in the optimization and renewal of urban space under the evolution of The Times, to stimulate the creative interaction between students and teachers and stimulate the campus vitality.

This project starts from the regional characteristics of Chongqing - mountain city and bridge city, looks for design inspiration, combines the historical features of the site, and takes the actual needs of students as the benchmark. To create a campus landscape environment bearing the history and reflecting the characteristics of the site.

The Administration of Communications and Postal Services was established in 1938.

Because the school scale expanded, the school expands.Yuhonglian transformed to office building.

The building had safety hidden danger. Thus, the surrounding space was transformed into a parking lot and public activity space.

As the population grew, the land was dug up

The project is located in Nanshan, Chongqing, China, with the abundant natural landscape.

It was renamed Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 1950. Yuhonglian is the main teaching building of the school.

After 6 years, Yuhonglian was transformed into a student apartment.

The red wall was inspired by the winding mountains of Chongqing. This design respond to the unique topography of Chongqing in some way.

The material of the red wall comes from the old bricks removed in the reconstruction of the red brick house, which not only respects the history but also saves resources. Functionally, Redwall not only serves people but also serves as an activity channel for stray cats on campus.

The purpose of the design is to explore the possibility of living in harsh environments, and to gain a deeper understanding of environmental and energy sustainability.

The project is located near the Crescent Lake in Dunhuang city, Gansu province, China.Dunhuang has long been an important city on the silk road and has attracted numerous tourists in recent years with its desert landscape and murals. With the development of tourism, the current infrastructure can no longer meet the needs of tourists, and desert tourism projects have also caused some damage to the ecological environment.

This project aims to build a self-sufficient and sustainable eco-hotel under the desert. The design of the hotel is inspired by the cave in the desert, the home of the redwood seb spider, which is linked to the cave in the form of the redwood seb spider.

After material performance contrast experiments, loofah sponge on comprehensive performance has obvious advantages, especially excellent solid water and water imbibition, in the desert, dry environment, this is very important. Loofah is ripe fruit of the vascular bundles at the same time, is biodegradable, no any pollution to the environment.

The body of the spider is about 2 cm long, and the excavated cave is about 25 cm deep and 2 cm in diameter.

Once the walls of this part of the tunnel are reinforced, the spider removes another layer of sand and soil, digs deeper, and continues to reinforce the walls as it goes along.

The project is an ecological and sustainable green continent. The water, electricity, heat and other energy needed in the operation of the hotel can all come from nature. There is a natural heat collection system in the building, which makes use of solar energy, land, air convection heat energy, water vapor heat energy in the air and other natural heat energy for heating. There are also rainwater collection and storage systems, gray water collection and filtration systems, realizing the recycling of fog, groundwater, and wastewater in the desert.
