Foreword from

Founder & Festivel Director

When we first started, it all happened here at Putrajaya. And this year, we are bringing the festival back here creating the right atmosphere for an Urban Retreat and an Urban Escape. MURFEST was just an event when it started and today it has become a lifestyle. It represents everything a human being needs and craves for- from a healthy mind, body and soul to a need for friendship, transformation and awakening. The 3 - day Festival is a journey of joy; where one can de-stress, get the much needed tools to live a happy and healthy life and to connect from deep within; things that have been neglected or forgotten.

This year, we have an amazing teaching faculty from 19 different countries with the 66 of them teaching over 90 workshops in the 3 Day long Festival. Not just yoga, fitness, healing, music and dance but there are other topics that seek to empower participants who attend namely a segment called MURFEST INSPIRES which is a “talk style� presentation by famous individuals telling their inspiring stories.

The community aspect still exists at MURFEST and with collaborations with the Art of Living and other Presenters, the Festival also will have non-ticketed COMMUNITY FREE classes

for people to attend. These are efforts made by the Festival to ensure people from any background can attend at least one part of MURFEST. The story of MURFEST doesn’t just end with a 3 Day Festival, it also comprises an amazing Dance Fitness Party called GLOKL which is being hosted by LIMKOKWING University on the 4th Nov. This year, GLOKL is focusing on an amazing dance fitness form called SALSATION and its founder- the amazing Alejandro Angulo from Venenzuela will be here with his team of amazing dancers to lead a Fitness style dance party that is sure to knock your socks off.

Le Meridien Putrajaya, as our OFFICIAL VENUE PARTNER has graciously allowed us the freedom of turning this beautiful hotel into a mesmerizing Festival space and we thank them for their hospitality. MURFEST would not be have taken off as such a mammoth of an idea cannot possibly be facilitated without the support of Giants.

Here, I would like to humbly thank the warm support shown last year and also this year by the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, the Ministry of Youth & Sports, our new collaborating partners and the many Brand Partners that have held our hands last year and this year – Terima Kasih!
