Der HIGH X SL Fünfspeichen-Laufradsatz vereint Design, Performance und Agilität des HIGH X mit außerordentlichem Leichtbau der neuesten Generation. Um das Laufrad für den Rennradbereich noch interessanter und leichter zu machen, erfolgten präzise Simulationen und Versuche im Bereich des Carbon-Lay-ups. Das innovative Ergebnis verwendet spezielle ultrahochmodule Carbonfasern in optimierten Orientierungen, die das Gewicht um weitere 100 Gramm auf 1290 Gramm pro Laufradsatz reduzieren. Die Fertigung besteht aus vielen Arbeitsschritten, die in präziser Handarbeit und mit High-End-Maschinen durchgeführt werden. Um die Sicherheit der Athleten zu gewährleisten, wird das Laufrad in einem Stück mit der One-Shot-Hollow (OSH) Technologie in Österreich hergestellt. Der Clincher-Laufradsatz ist für ein maximales Gesamtsystemgewicht von 110 kg (keine E-Bike Freigabe) zugelassen und hat eine Felgeninnenbreite von 25 Millimetern. Dadurch ergibt sich die variable Einsatzmöglichkeit für die Rennräder auf Asphalt mit einer Reifenbreite ab 28 Millimetern bis zu 50 Millimetern für leichtes Gelände. Zur einfachen und sicheren Befestigung der Bremsscheibe ist der Laufradsatz mit dem Centerlock®-Standard ausgestattet. Außerdem kann der Fahrer zwischen verschiedenen Freilaufsystemen wählen, die mit den gängigen Schaltungskomponenten auf dem Markt kompatibel sind.

The HIGH X SL five-spoke wheelset combines the design, performance and agility of the HighX with extraordinary lightweight construction of the latest generation. In order to make the wheel even more interesting and lighter for the road bike sector, precise simulations and tests were carried out in the area of carbon lay-up. The innovative result uses special ultra-high modulus carbon fibres in optimised orientations, which reduce the weight by a further 100 grams to 1290 grams per wheelset. The production consists of many steps, which are carried out by hand with precision and using high-end machines. To ensure the safety of the athletes, the wheel is manufactured in one piece using One-Shot-Hollow (OSH) technology in Austria. The clincher wheelset is approved for a maximum total system weight of 110 kg (no e-bike approval) and has an inner rim width of 25 millimetres. Diese hochmoderne Felge ist eine Weiterentwicklung des erfolgreichen MARK 3 SL und wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Technischen Universität Graz mittels aufwändiger CFD-Simulationen aerodynamisch optimiert. Das finale Ergebnis ist eine Felge, welche sich trotz breiteren Reifen und größerer Innenmaulweite bestens durch den Wind schneidet. Das MARK 4 setzt neue Maßstäbe in Sachen Aerodynamik und Performance. Die revolutionärste Innovation ist das überarbeitete Speichendesign. Hier kommen wie bereits beim MARK 3 SL aerodynamisch erfolgreiche NACA-Profile zum Einsatz. Kontroverserweise ist es uns gelungen, den Speichenquerschnitt zu vergrößern und dadurch die Aerodynamik und Steifigkeit nachweislich zu verbessern. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die innovative aerodynamische Rille, die entlang der Speichen verläuft. Diese Rille verbessert sowohl die Aerodynamik als auch die Steifigkeit des Laufrades wodurch höhere Geschwindigkeiten bei gleicher Leistung und eine optimale Kraftübertragung garantiert werden. Für das MARK 4 ist das Beste gerade gut genug. Daher werden standardmäßig Keramikkugellager vom Marktführer Ceramicspeed verbaut, um auch hier optimale Leistungsübertragung zu garantieren. Für XeNTiS charakteristisch ist auch das tiefe Felgendesign mit einer Turbulatorwelle ausgestattet, welches neben den aerodynamischen Vorteilen auch einen einzigartigen Wiedererkennnungswert bietet. The latest rim design is an adoption of the well-known MARK 3 SL and the engineering process was supported by the Technical University of Graz with time-consuming CFD-simulations in order to get valid aerodynamic improvements. The outcome is a wheel which is cutting trough the air even with wider tires and enhanced inner rim width. The MARK 4 is raising the bar in aerodynamics and performance. The biggest change is the revised spoke design. As well as at the MARK 3 SL the cross-sections of the spokes are aerodynamic proven NACA-profiles. Controversially we managed to increase the aerodynamic efficiency as well as the stiffness by increasing the cross section aera of the spoke. A highlight of the new design is the groove along the spoke. This feature is for aerodynamic and stiffness improvement and therefore enables higher speed at same wattage as well as better power transfer. Only the best is good enough and that’s why we are building the MARK 4 with the ceramic bearings of the market leader Ceramicspeed to get the best power transfer possible. Typically for XeNTiS the deep rim design includes an active-turbulator-wave for the aerodynamic performance and the immediately recognition of the brand. All these characteristics make the MARK 4 the perfect choice for ambitioned riders to meet their high quality and performance claims.

Der Luftwiderstand von Laufrädern bedingt einen nicht unerheblichen Anteil am Widerstand des Gesamtsystems Athlet-Fahrrad. Daher arbeitet XeNTiS sehr eng im Rahmen von Kooperationsprojekten mit dem Institut für Strömungslehre und Wärmeübertragung der Technischen Universität Graz zusammen. Dabei werden die aerodynamischen Charakteristika ermittelt und durch Analyse der Messdaten eine Optimierung bei der Gestaltung von Laufrädern erreicht. Die Laufräder haben aus aerodynamischen Gründen einen nicht zu vernachlässigenden Einfluss auf die Wettkampf-Performance eines Radfahrers. Dabei kommt dem oftmals auftretenden Seitenwind eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Bei einer geeigneten Konstruktion kann dabei ein „Segeleffekt“ mit Reduktion des Widerstands auftreten. Dem gegenüber steht allerdings eine dadurch bedingt größere Seitenkraft, die zu einem unvorteilhaften Fahrverhalten führen kann. Es gilt daher für die jeweilige Anwendung durch technische Raffinesse und Designoptimierung einen günstigen Kompromiss aus Reduktion des Widerstandes, Komfort und Lenkverhalten zu erreichen.

MARK 3 SL Your new wheels are made of formula 1 tested carbon material in precise hand work. Already during your first ride you will feel the astonishing aerodynamic, the smooth rolling characteristics and the low weight. Every single XeNTiS wheel is going through an extensive quality check before delivery. This is when the perfect finishing process and concentric run-out is checked.

Jedes XeNTiS Wheel wird vor Auslieferung einer umfangreichen Qualitätsprüfung unterzogen. Dabei werden die Laufräder auf optische Verarbeitungsqualität und perfekten Rundlauf geprüft.

Finally every wheel is going through an endurance test in order to go fast and break last for you for a long time!

Abschließend wird jedes Laufrad einem Belastungstest unterzogen, um dir langjährige Dienste leisten zu können.

CRASH REPLACEMENT

XeNTiS bietet zusätzlich zur 2-jährigen Gewährleistung, gleichzeitig ein 3-jähriges Crash-Replacement bei gültiger Registrierung (bis spätestens 1 Monat nach Kauf) an. Du erhältst nach Sturz oder Beschädigung einen Nachlass auf ein neues XeNTiS Wheel oder Reparatur von:

XeNTiS offers in addition to the 2-year warranty, at the same time a 3-year crash replacement with valid registration (no later than 1 month after purchase). You will receive a discount on a new XeNTiS wheel or repair after crash or damage:

We are specialized in the development, design and manufacture of carbon components, mainly for the automotive and bicycle industries, but our product portfolio also includes musical instruments, sports equipment and many other fibre-reinforced lightweight components. Our products are manufactured at our production site in Voitsberg using the hot-press or continuous autoclave process.

Die gesamte Entwicklung und Konstruktion erfolgt im Haus. Wir sind in der Lage, auch komplexe Bauteile mittels Flächenkonstruktion zu designen. Durch unseren hauseigenen SLA Drucker und dem Filment Drucker können wir in kürzester Zeit Prototypen und Prototypenwerkzeuge herstellen.

All development and design work is carried out in-house. We are also able to design complex components using surface construction. With our in-house SLA printer and filment printer, we can produce prototypes and prototype molds in the shortest possible time.
