Der innovative 5-Speichen-Carbon-Laufradsatz ist das brandneue Produkt des österreichischen Carbon-Spezialisten XeNTiS Composite GmbH.

The innovative 5-spoke wheelset is the brand-new product from the Austrian carbon specialist XeNTiS Composite GmbH.

Aus aerodynamischen und steifigkeitsspezifischen Gründen wurde das Design der früheren Version komplett überarbeitet. Während des Entwicklungsprozesses wurde, mit Hilfe von CFD-Simulation und FE-Analyse, der Luftwiderstand, durch in die Oberfläche eingearbeitete Abrisskanten, schrittweise reduziert und die Steifigkeit stetig erhöht. Das Ergebnis ist ein weltweit einzigartiges Laufradkonzept, das zu 100 Prozent mit der One-Shot-Hollow (OSH) Technologie produziert wird.

Due to aerodynamic and rigidity reasons the design of the former version was completely renewed. During the development process, using CFD simulation and FE analysis, the drag was progressively reduced by implementing tear-off edges at the rim ring plus at the spoke surface and the stiffness have been increased steadily. The result is a worldwide unique wheel concept, which is manufactured by using the One-Shot-Hollow (OSH) technology to 100 percent.

Selbstverständlich hat der Kunde die Wahl zwischen verschiedenen Typen: Clincher Tubeless ready und Tubular sind ebenso erhältlich wie Scheiben- und Felgenbremse. Die Version der Scheibenbremse ist mit dem Center Lock® System ausgestattet und in der FelgenbremsVariante ist die patentierte Bremsfläche von XeNTiS integriert, welche beste Bremsperformance bei nassen und trockenen Verhältnissen garantiert. Seit Jahren steht der Name XeNTiS für Innovation und technologischen Fortschritt. Das beispiellose Design des Laufrades zeigt eine radikale Innovation von visuellen, aerodynamischen und steifigkeitsspezifischen Eigenschaften. Es zeigt eine noch nie dagewesene Kombination aus Kurven und Kanten. Der handgefertigte Felgenkörper besteht aus über 20 verschiedenen Lagen UHM und HS Kohlefasern, welche mit Hochleistungs-Epoxidharz getränkt sind.

Naturally, the wheelset is available for clincher tubeless ready and tubular tires. The customer has the choice between the rim brake version, including the patented XeNTiS brake surface for best performance in wet and dry conditions, and the disc brake Center Lock® version. Since years the name XeNTiS stands for innovation and technological progress. The different design of the wheel displays a radical innovation of visual, aerodynamic and rigidity properties and has the ambition to disrupt the market. The visual appearance shows an unprecedented combination of curves and edges, which is completely new in wheel construction. The handcrafted carbon body is laminated by using more than 20 different layers of UHM and HS carbon fiber combined with high performance epoxy resin.

Of course nothing is more important for riders as safety during the use.

Diese wird durch eine zu 100 Prozent in den Produktionsprozess integrierte Lastprüfung und dem bestmöglichen Bremsverhalten unter verschiedensten Bedingungen erreicht. Die höchstmögliche Qualität des Bauteils wird durch penible Handarbeit direkt in der Österreichischen Carbon Manufaktur sichergestellt. Die Faktoren Umweltschutz und ressourcensparende Produktion sind heutzutage, mehr denn je, unerlässlich. Deshalb wird jeder Prepreg Zuschnitt im XeNTiS Cutting Center optimiert und Störungen während des Aushärteprozesses minimiert um den Abfall und den Energieverbrauch so gering wie möglich zu halten. Die Ergebnisse der aerodynamischen Berechnungen zeigen einen geringeren Leistungsbedarf des Systems und eine höhere Stabilität des Vorderrades im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz.

This is ensured by a 100 percent durability check in house and the best brake behavior in all conditions. Based on the fact that the wheel is handmade in our headquarters in Austria, the quality of the product is on a high end level. Nowadays, more than ever, environmental protection and a sustainable production line are indispensable. Due to this fact every cut of carbon prepreg is optimized at XeNTiS’ high-tech cutting center and errors during the curing process are minimized to keep the waste and energy costs as low as possible. The results of the aerodynamic measurements show a lower power requirement and a steady higher stability of the front wheel compared to competitors. Furthermore, the weight of a wheel is very important. The weight of the MARK3 is 15% lower by comparison to its predecessor model and shows better aerodynamic values and lower steering torque, which increases the comfort of riding in cross-winds enormously.

Das Gewicht des Mark3 ist um 15% geringer als jenes des Vorgängermodells und weist bessere aerodynamische Werte und ein geringeres Lenkmoment auf, was den Fahrkomfort bei Seitenwind enorm erhöht. Zusammenfassend ist dieses Wheel-Set nicht nur eine sportliche Waffe im Zeitfahren und Triathlon, sondern auch ein absoluter Hingucker während alltäglicher Radfahrten.

Conclusively, the wheelset is not only a weapon in time trial and triathlon competition, but also an absolute eye-catcher in everyday riding.

The patented brake surface guarantees the best brake performance in wet and dry conditions. No wear-out on brake surfaces and in addition to XeNTiS brake pads, standard brake pads can be used too.

XeNTiS Wheels werden zu 100% in Österreich gefertigt und verfügen über einen RFID Chip. Dieser garantiert die Nachverfolgbarkeit von Herkunft und Herstellung.

XeNTis wheels are 100% hand made in Austria. All wheels are fitted with a unique RFID chip that allow exact information to be traced and extracted such as origin and manufacturing specifications.

Durch ein Klarlack-Oberflächenfinish sind alle XeNTiS Wheels UV-beständig.

Due to a clear coated surface finish all XeNTiS wheels are UV protected.

XeNTiS Wheels sind ausbalanciert und verfügen über einen integrierten Tachomagneten. (kein Tachomagnet in den Modellen RACE 2.5 und SL 2.5)

XeNTiS wheels are harmonically balanced and feature an integrated tachometer magnet. (No tachometer magnet in RACE 2.5 and SL 2.5)

Aufgrund von XeNTiS Spezialbohrungen im Inneren der Felge wird eine sehr hohe Haltbarkeit und eine optimale und langlebige Kraftübertragung garantiert. Durch diese Bearbeitung wird das Eindringen von Wasser in die Felge verhindert.

Based on the XeNTiS offset holes inside the rim, the durability of XeNTiS wheels is very high. These holes guarantee an optimal and durable power transfer and this process prevents penetration of water into the rim.

Durch das TUBELESS READY System können alle XeNTiS Clincher Laufräder ohne Schlauch gefahren werden. Aufgrund der speziellen Felgenbettgeometrie sitzt der Reifen exakt im Felgenhorn. Der Einsatz dieses Systems erhöht wesentlich die Pannensicherheit und den Komfort.

Due to the TUBELESS READY system all XeNTiS clincher wheels are ridable without an inner tube. Because of the special rim base the tyre fits exactly to the rim flange. This application guarantees a significant increase in puncture protection and riding comfort.

Der ASYMMETRISCHE FELGENQUERSCHNITT kommt bei Hinterrad- und Scheibenbremsnaben zum Einsatz, nähert die Speichenspannung links und rechts aneinander an und erhöht dadurch die Seitensteifigkeit des gesamten Laufrades.

The ASYMMETRIC RIM PROFILE is used in combination with rear and disc-brake hubs. As a result, the spoke tension left and right is almost equal and therefore the lateral stiffness of the entire wheel increases. 7
