TONIGHT! Parent Education Night: Social Media and How to Navigate it with Your Child We are excited to offer an opportunity for parents of our students in the Xavier Catholic School System to talk about technology and social media use and how we see it impacting our students both in and out of school. On Wednesday January 17th, 2024 our School Resource Officer Michael Turner will be at Xavier Middle School at 6pm with a presentation about current trends in social media use with late elementary school age through high school age students. Following Officer Turner's presentation, both Sara Meyer and Ashley Turner will speak on what we see with technology use policy violations and how we handle them at the middle school. There will also be a time for Q&A with Officer Turner at the end of the evening. We hope you join us in learning more about technology and our students.
Celebrate Admission Closes This Week! Raffle Tickets are in Backpacks! Last chance to purchase admission to Celebrate! The Regular Admission deadline is this Thursday, January 18, 2024 at midnight. Click here to register online. Raffle tickets on sale NOW! —anyone can purchase raffle tickets— you don’t need to attend Celebrate to buy chances to win great raffle prizes! If you haven’t already, check your student’s backpack as tickets were sent home. Our thanks to Kate Geenen’s Sport and Society classes for helping us stuff the envelopes. Raffle tickets and money are due Monday, January 29th. Hawk tickets are only sold at the scrip office preevent. Additional raffle tickets for all other raffles are also available for purchase at the Xavier Scrip Office. Adult Event Volunteers Needed! PLEASE consider volunteering. Auditions for ALL RISE! The Northeast Wisconsin Passion Play, an original, musical drama based on the life of Christ, will be held by appointment on Thursday evening, January 18th or Saturday morning, January 20th, at the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre.
Adults of all ages and students, grades three through twelve, are invited to audition. Applicants will be asked to do a vocal audition and a simple movement/dance assessment. Fill out a cast application and schedule an audition time at www.newpassionplay.org. Click or tap the “Join Our Cast” button near the top of the home page. Performances for the 2024 season are March 21-24. Ticket sales open on January 15th, 9am online, box office open noon-3:00 pm. Auditions, rehearsals and performances are at the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre. A program of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System.
