Our Catholic identity is the foundation for everything we do at Xaverian. It is our goal to mold our students into Christian leaders who convert their faith into action. This transformation occurs through daily prayer, school-wide masses, retreats at every grade level and Kairos retreats for upperclassmen, community service initiatives, and a rigorous, academic religion curriculum. Students are welcome to speak with our campus ministers, focus on their service initiatives, or find space for their continued prayer and reflection in our new campus ministry center. Students are religious leaders within the school community; having the opportunity to organize and lead retreats, and serve as leaders at the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School Retreats, where they meet students from the Xaverian schools in Connecticut, Kentucky, Maryland, and Massachusetts.

Xaverian is very proud of an athletic program that develops successful student-athletes. Many of our students use their rich experience at 7100 Shore Road as a springboard to athletic careers in college and beyond. Xaverian alumni are proud to include among their members current and former players in the NCAA, National Football League, Major League Baseball, and the National Basketball Association. Still more follow the examples of their mentors and become coaches on the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. They cite their time as Clippers, where dedication, sportsmanship, and fitness are integral parts of the athletic program, as the foundation for their success. In continuous partnership with Floyd Bennett Field Sports, Xaverian is proud to have an official home athletic facility, Xaverian at Floyd Bennett Field.

Academic Scholarships Students interested in receiving an academic scholarship must sit for Xaverian’s Scholarship exam. This year, our scholarship exam will be on December 5th. Students must have at least a 90 overall average to sit for this exam and can indicate they are taking the scholarship exam right on the Xaverian application itself. There is no separate form to register for the exam. Scholarship awards are based on the scholarship exam, TACHS test, application content, letters of recommendation, and student grades. Scholarships are awarded to students over four years, subject to maintaining academic requirements. Specialized Studies The Ryken Educational Center provides programs and services for high school students who have specific learning disabilities. Its mission is to challenge and support learning disabled students so that they achieve academically at their intellectual level. The Ryken Program integrates all of the resources of the High School with intensive support systems. All students take a rigorous, college, preparatory program and meet the New York State requirements for a Regents diploma and college entrance.
"Xaverian offers a variety of college-level courses, including AP classes as well as dual-enrollment courses through St. John’s University, Syracuse University, and the University of Delaware. These classes pushed me to develop strong study habits, critical thinking skills, and the ability to succeed in a demanding academic environment. As a result, I will be entering the University of Notre Dame this fall with college credits already completed, allowing me to begin my college career with a strong academic foundation and greater flexibility in my course selection." - Edouard Ruess '26, Salutatorian of the Class of 2026, University of Notre Dame
As a captain of the Step Team, I am incredibly proud of how far our program has come. Since joining as a freshman, I have watched step grow into a thriving sport on campus and am especially grateful to attend a school that recognized the need for a step program and made it a reality. Being part of this team has taught me the importance of hard work, discipline, and determination, and I am honored to represent both my team and the Xaverian community. Winning two city championships in just three years of official competition is a testament to our dedication, and I am proud to be part of a program that continues to make history. - Nylah Barr '27, Captain, Varsity Step Team; 2026 City Champions
Being a Seven-Year Clipper is very important to me. I am so grateful to remain part of the family and community I’ve found at Genesis. I chose to stay at Xaverian because of the strong sense of belonging, support, and opportunity I have found here. I have made lasting friendships and joined many clubs that I will continue in high school. Xaverian has become a second home to me—a place where I feel safe, challenged, and proud to belong. It has pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, try new sports and activities, and grow as a student and person. I look forward to the next four years at Xaverian." - Daniel Rafferty '30, Seven-Year Clipper
"Mrs. McEvoy and Ms. Novini, Xaverian's College Counselors, have provided me—and every student—with the guidance and resources needed to explore colleges, complete applications, and find the right fit for future career goals. All it takes is reaching out and scheduling a meeting, and I have found their knowledge and willingness to help to be invaluable. I have visited the office countless times, and each conversation left me feeling more confident in my applications and more certain about the process. I am incredibly grateful for the support I received throughout this journey." - Laura D'Emic '26, University of Georgia Journalism & Political Science / Pre-Law
"7100 was never just a location. It was a beginning. It was a foundation. It was where our story took shape." -Sienna Bocchino '26, Scholar Athlete Ole Miss Softball
