This year is the 50th anniversary of Triumph High School. This alternative program which was originally named High School III (the name was changed to Triumph in 1999) began in 1976 and has been housed over the years in the Clark Building (which was on the site of the parking lot for the current administration building) and the Fincher Elementary School building off Morrie Avenue. The current Triumph building

off of College Drive was built in 2008. LCSD 1 and the current administration and teachers at Triumph are planning on some celebrations to mark this occasion throughout this school year. If you were a teacher or former student of Triumph at any time, or are a fan of cultural anniversaries in Cheyenne, keep an eye on the district website, Triumph’s website, and social media for announcements of these events.

Registration for 2026 Youth Basketball League

Registration is now open for the City of Cheyenne K-2 Youth Basketball League, a recreational league for kids in kindergarten through second grade. Early registration will continue through October 22. Late registration will run October 23 to November 5, if space is available. The cost of the league is $65 per player. Practices start on January 4, 2027, and games begin on January 9.
