Celebrate American 250 with a run for independence and a run against hunger. League of Women Voters Historic Play
The League of Women Voters of Wyoming will honor women who helped shape U.S. and Wyoming history as part of the state celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary on Saturday, July 4 at the Wyoming Capitol, 200 West 24th Street. At 3:00pm, “The Remarkable Susan,” a one-act play by Tim Kelly, will bring to life the story of suffragist Susan B. Anthony’s 1873 trial for the “crime” of casting a ballot. Following the performance at 3:30pm, a living history presentation will feature 24 Remarkable Women of Wyoming in the Capitol’s Extension hallway.

The True Grit Experience is a unique, interactive program designed to strengthen community relationships, increase transparency, and provide citizens with an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement operations. Crime Stoppers Silent Witness
Assistance Identifying Theft Suspect
Cheyenne Police Detectives are seeking information about a felony theft that occurred at VFW Post 1881 located at 2816 East 7th Street. A white cargo trailer containing military memorabilia was stolen from the property. The trailer held medals, including Purple Hearts and a Medal of Honor, plaques, flags, uniforms and other personal items belonging to veterans.
Surveillance footage shows a gold passenger vehicle arrived at the location, backed up to the trailer and towed it away. If you have any information about this theft or recognize the vehicle, please contact Detective Hedum at 307-633-6643.
