Cheyenne Transit Program Pilot Route
The Cheyenne Transit Program introduced a pilot circular route on Monday, June 1. The new route begins and ends at Stinson Avenue and West 17th Street, continues through downtown, north on Yellowstone Road to Storey Boulevard, south and east through the Dell Range corridor, south on College Drive and then west on Campstool Road before returning via Logan Avenue and Lincolnway. The new route is in addition to CTP’s existing services and will improve service in some areas of the community and better manage summer ridership loads. The Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County is inviting volunteers, businesses and community members to take part in its upcoming Blitz Build June 16-25 at Pronghorn Crossing, a collaborative effort with Blitz Home Builders, a team of skilled, retired volunteers who travel the country to help Habitat affiliates complete major build efforts. Together, four homes will be raised from the ground up in just ten days. No construction experience is required to participate. Habitat staff provide training, tools and supervision for volunteers throughout the build. Community members, businesses, faith groups and civic organizations are encouraged to get involved by volunteering for a build day, sponsoring the project or helping spread the word. Volunteer shifts will be available throughout the build week. Those interested in volunteering or supporting the Blitz Build can learn more and sign up at www.cheyennehabitat.org

The Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum has two summer youth camps for kids grades K-6. Pioneer Camp is June 15-18 where campers will try gold panning, leather working, crafts, a lively mariachi guitar lesson, create their own paniolo style hatbands and take part in an action packed cattle drive game. Wagon rides, western themed games and even a visit from live goats help bring the experience to life at CFD Old West Museum! Western Art Camp is August 10-14 where young artists will spend the week exploring western landscapes, wildlife and cowboy life through painting, sketching and mixed media projects.
