Navigating to a New School Schedule

Switching to a new school schedule can be a positive and refreshing change for students. Adjusting the order of classes may seem like a small tweak, but it can have a big impact on focus, energy levels, and overall student motivation throughout the day.
One suggested schedule format is to have first, second, and third periods in the morning, followed by lunch, and then finish the day with fourth period. This change offers several benefits. For one, having lunch later in the day can help students stay more energized and attentive during their morning classes. A lot of students agree that eating later helps them maintain better focus rather than feeling sluggish early on.
Another advantage of this schedule is that it allows students to complete most of their classes early in the day. By the time lunch arrives, students would already have completed three out of four classes. Knowing that there’s only one more class left afterward can boost motivation and make the rest of the day feel more manageable.
“I feel this is a good idea, and I think many kids would like it too—it makes the days go by faster,” said Lora, a student who supports the schedule change. Her perspective reflects a common sentiment among
students who are looking for ways to make their school days feel less overwhelming and more productive.
Introducing a new schedule can also bring a sense of renewal to the school routine. Over time, the same daily structure can feel repetitive and dull. A refreshed schedule not only helps break up that monotony but can also enhance student engagement and create a more positive learning environment.
In conclusion, transitioning to a revised school schedule—especially one that places lunch later in the day—has the potential to create a better experience for students. By increasing focus, supporting energy levels, and making the school day feel shorter and more efficient, such a change could pave the way for a more successful and enjoyable school year.

The Southeast Wyoming Estate Planning Council invites professionals in the area to consider becoming a member. The SEWEPC is made up of dedicated professionals in the legal, accounting, financial services, trust and foundation professions working with clients to help them with their estate planning needs. Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. Everyone has an estate, and they want to be able to dispose of their “things” according to their wishes. The Council helps bring different disciplines together for the common good of the client. Spring into Green 5K Run and Walk is set for Saturday, June 7 at Laramie County Community College, 1400 East College Drive. Race will begin at 8:00am. It will follow a Greenway route that starts and ends at LCCC and includes the Greenway underpass below College Drive. The race will be timed by Foot of the Rockies. Awards for 1st and 2nd in all categories will be given. Preregistration cost of $30 for the race increases after May 26 to $35. Registration can also be done on race day beginning at 6:30am. The Colorado Rockies have invited the City of Cheyenne’s softball and t-ball teams to participate in a pre-game parade at Coors Field to feature local teams on Saturday, June 21, just before the Rockies’ 7:00pm game. Cheyenne Rec invites families, friends and the entire Cheyenne community to join them at the ballpark to cheer them on and enjoy a fun-filled night of Major League Baseball.
