The shelter’s newsletter plays a vital role in keeping donors informed about new programs and projects, ensuring continued support for these essential services. What made this project especially remarkable was the level of participation: nearly every student at Triumph High School took part. Their collective effort not only eased the workload for COMEA staff but also gave students a firsthand look at how small acts of service can strengthen the community.

Central High School News Just before Christmas break, Triumph High School students came together for a schoolwide community service project that made a meaningful impact on Cheyenne’s homeless population. Partnering with the COMEA Shelter, students dedicated their time to folding, stuffing, and addressing envelopes for the shelter’s quarterly newsletter, which is mailed to donors to share updates and request support. The COMEA Shelter provides housing, meals, and showers to adults in need—whether for a single night, several weeks, or even a year. Each resident is paired with a caseworker

Cheyenne Audubon invites the public on a free field trip January 17 to Raptor Alley to look for hawks and other birds of prey. People with all levels of birdwatching experience are welcome.
