Hell on Wheels Rodeo Returns for Third Season
The Hell on Wheels Rodeo and Chuck Wagon Dinner kicks off its third season Friday night, June 10, at the Laramie County Fair Complex at Archer, 3801 Archer Parkway. The Chuck Wagon Dinner will begin at 5:30pm and the rodeo kicks off with the Grand Entry at 7:00pm. This year’s series features six rodeos, two each in June, July and August. Rodeo athletes will participate in timed roping events and rough stock events. Each Friday will feature a Chuck Wagon dinner from award winning cook Fred Wood and his family. Friday Night Inflatables
The Cheyenne Aquatic Center, 931 Martin Esquibel Drive, is introducing a new event on Friday evenings, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The Aquatic Center will host Friday Night Inflatables which will feature two brand new constant airflow inflatable obstacle courses. In order to accommodate families with children unable to use the inflatable, the rec pool will be open during this time. However, in order to slowly work the inflatables into the regular scheduled programs this will not be available at the initial two Friday events. You must be over the age of 8 or pass a Cheyenne Aquatic Center swim test prior to attending, these can be done anytime the pool is open, should staffing allow. Entry will be $9 per person using the inflatables. They will be available for rent for private parties hosted on Saturday and Sunday nights. Reservations are now open.

Chalk Art Festival Coming to Superday
We’re calling anyone and everyone who would like to create a chalk masterpiece during Superday on Saturday, June 25, in Lions Park. Artists can work solo, or as a pair on one 4’x4’ sidewalk square near the Botanic Gardens, 710 South Lions Park Drive. The registration fee for solo artists is $20 and $30 for pairs. The theme for this year’s contest will be “Have a Ball!” All artists must state the specific image based on this theme to be drawn prior to confirmation of participation in Superday. This year the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum is presenting two week-long, funfilled educational summer camps. The Pioneer Camp which is sponsored by the Zimmerman Family Foundation and the Western Art Camp, sponsored by Blue Federal Credit Union. Camps run Monday through Friday, from 8:30am-3:30pm. Voter Drop-In and Election Job Fair
The Laramie County Clerk, in partnership with the Cheyenne League of Women Voters, will host two voter “drop-ins” and election “job fairs” at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Avenue, in the Willow Room. The first will be Thursday, June 16, 5:30pm-8:00pm and the second will be Saturday, June 18, 1:00pm-4:00pm. The public will get information on registration, voter ID, voting options and serving their community as an election judge. The clerk’s office is recruiting judges from the Democratic, Libertarian or Constitution parties as well as voters who are unaffiliated. Judges must be at least 16 years of age, be a U.S. citizen and Laramie County resident. Basic computer skills are required. Primary election day is August 16, with early and absentee voting starting July 1. The general election is November 8.
