Public Schools Chronicle Getting to Senior Year

Howdy! Were you excited for your senior year? I was. But I was also very scared as most people would be. I went into my junior year of high school so excited because I only had one more year after that and then I’d be completely done with high school and on to the real world. As I thought about it more, going into the real world and becoming an adult started to seem so scary.

I thought my junior year would be so fun and easy, but while it was fun, it was kind of hard academically. You have to put in so much work to be able to move on to the next grade to be an actual

senior. Then you have to take the ACT… The ACT is so hard, and I dreaded it. However, it’s manageable and once you get done with it, the rest of your year is a breeze. Now I’m a senior and it’s been the easiest year ever and I’m so glad that it’s been that easy. I’m so excited to graduate.

I asked my best friend Jabarin (who is a junior himself) what his thoughts about junior year have been in hindsight and if he’s excited about senior year. He said that he’s super excited, because he’ll be able to leave home. Then he said “overall, my junior year was pretty good but kind of stressful because of my ACT.” I agree with him 100% because it is super stressful. But juniors, welcome to your senior year! Albin Rescue Fundraiser

The Albin Rescue (Albin Ambulance) is having a fundraising event on May 25 at 6:00pm. They provide BLS ambulance service to northeast Laramie County as well as help neighboring services in Laramie County and western Nebraska. The event will be held at the Albin Community Center in Albin. The event will include a live auction and silent auction, as well as a dinner. The dinner will be $20 per person or you can purchase a table for 8 at $150. All proceeds will go to Albin Rescue.
