BUCK-CHAMBLESS RECEPTION
Emerson and Maisey first met in Montgomery when they were just 16, and their story has been unfolding ever since “From St James to attending Auburn University together to now living in Colorado every day has been nothing short of an adventure!” Maisey shared Now, she works as a neonatal ICU nurse at a children’s hospital, while Emerson is in finance at First Western Trust in Denver. “We love to head to the mountains with our beloved weenie dog and make the most of all the outdoor activities we can do here!”
Even though they now call Colorado home, returning to Montgomery for their wedding was an easy decision. “We knew we wanted to come home for our wedding and celebrate with friends and family,” she said Choosing Wynlakes was just as simple “Using Wynlakes was a no-brainer I grew up in Wynlakes and have attended several events here I knew they would care about my wedding as much as I did ”
The couple made Wynlakes the center of their wedding day, utilizing the venue for nearly every aspect of the celebration “We did almost everything at Wynlakes from getting ready, to photos, to the reception, and even decided to stay in the villas after it was all said and done,” she said “And Wynlakes took care of me at every turn, providing so much attention to detail ”
From the beautifully manicured grounds that provided a picture-perfect backdrop to the seamless coordination with her planner and vendors, the team at Wynlakes made the process stress-free especially given the distance “It was such a relief since I was living 2,000 miles away, ” she noted It was the small touches that truly stood out “They made sure our private dinner beforehand in the Board Room was perfect and peaceful and even had a sweet basket full of treats and snacks waiting for us in the villas after our wedding was over!” Looking back, she couldn’t have asked for a better experience “Being able to relax and enjoy my day was huge, and I can’t recommend them enough!”

Having watched her sister get married and celebrate her reception at Wynlakes, Ann Price knew from that moment that she wanted the same for her own wedding “Ever since then, I knew I wanted to have my reception here too!” she shared The experience of working with the Wynlakes staff exceeded all expectations “They make the wedding planning process easy, accommodating, and unique! Their vision for transforming the ballroom and providing the best reception food possible is everything a bride would want and more ” The menu was a highlight of the night, with guests even reminiscing about past celebrations “The food is amazing we even had guests requesting the honey pecan chicken from my sister’s wedding!”

SMITH - SKIER RECEPTION
The story of how they met has both a long and a short version. “The long answer is that our parents are actually family friends, so we knew each other as little kids when we both lived in Montgomery,” they shared However, when one family moved to Atlanta during elementary school, they only saw each other sporadically over the years. “We were reintroduced at the University of Alabama and eventually started dating!” Of course, there’s a simpler version too “The short answer is that we met at college!”
When it came time to plan their wedding, Montgomery was the perfect choice. “I had older relatives who were still local to the area and wouldn’t be able to travel for a wedding, so we chose to get married in Montgomery ” For the reception, Wynlakes was an easy decision “We loved the layout of the Swan Ballroom, and we knew we could make our wedding vision come to life!” The night was everything they had dreamed of. “Our reception was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The staff was attentive, and the food was delicious ”

COVINGTON - TAYLOR RECEPTION
They say the best love is unexpected, and that was true for Whitney (Covington) Taylor and Christopher Taylor. Their love story is one of friendship that began right before the pandemic and blossomed into love for a lifetime They met by the way of two friends in the summer of 2019 The two had periodically seen each other over several months, but it was not until Christmas Eve 2019 when Chris sent Whitney a sweet text message. Since that moment, they became inseparable, and it felt like they had known each other their entire lives. After 3 years of dating, Christopher surprised Whitney with a proposal on Valentine’s Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia Christopher and Whitney got married on Saturday, April 20, 2024, and had their beautiful wedding reception in the Wynlakes Golf & Country Club Ballroom.
“After all of the excitement, we jumped right into planning When we began our planning process, we had a specific vision of what our wedding day would look like, and Wynlakes Golf & Country Club was the perfect venue for our reception As soon as we had our walkthrough of the venue, we knew we had to have it Noel and the Wynlakes staff took care of us through each phase of the processeverything from designing the reception layout, the food tasting, meeting with our reception vendors, and most importantly, providing a smile and helping hand. We were honored to be able to host our wedding reception in such a beautiful venue The Wynlakes team helped bring some of our most cherished moments from that day to life, and we are forever grateful to them “

The day of their wedding was one they had dreamed about for so long, and it was everything they hoped it would be Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the start of this new chapter with a beautiful reception at Wynlakes. Originally from Colorado Springs, CO, Art and Marissa’s love story began in 2015 After several years together, they moved to Montgomery in 2022, drawn by new opportunities and a desire to be closer to family. Their journey culminated in a heartfelt ceremony at the Chapel in the Woods at Christchurch Anglican in Montgomery on May 11, 2024, surrounded by their closest friends and loved ones
Marissa is currently completing her final year at Auburn University at Montgomery, where she is set to graduate in December with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Art is establishing his career at the Alabama Housing Finance Authority. Their wedding reception at Wynlakes was a joyous celebration of their union, marking the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives together

Sam and Rob, both proud graduates of the University of Alabama, created a night to remember filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments The event was beautifully captured by Kim Box Photography, while Amy Ward crafted a stunning wedding cake that perfectly complemented the evening’s aesthetic. Elizabeth Flynn designed breathtaking floral arrangements, adding a romantic touch to the celebration, and DJ Ziggy kept the dance floor alive with an energetic playlist

Having joined Wynlakes 38 years ago before their daughters were born Pat and Jackie Mathews have always considered the club a second home. Their daughters grew up at Wynlakes, forming lifelong memories and connections with the community “They have always considered everyone at the club as family because that’s how we ’ ve always been treated,” they shared. Grateful for the legacy of Wynlakes, they reflected on the impact of the club “As a community, we are all blessed that the Wilson family built such a magnificent golf and country club for so many to enjoy, gather, and celebrate life events.” So, when their oldest daughter, Tyler Ann, became engaged there was no hesitation she knew immediately that Wynlakes was where she wanted her wedding and reception to be held
